Hello, welcome to or welcome back to Try Not To Care.
I'm really hoping that I can get through today's episode with no problems because, if you don't know, on Monday I got Invisalign and I'm supposed to wear Invisalign for 22 hours a day, which is a lot.
It's insane.
I'm really only supposed to take them out when I'm eating or drinking, but I did take them out to record this episode, which is I probably shouldn't, but I have the worst lisp with the men and even without them I have a lisp.
But my other issue is with Invisalign.
You have these really sharp attachments on your teeth and they scrape against my mouth and I feel like a shark and it's just.
It's really hard to speak in general.
So I don't know what's worse the lisp or the sharp attachment, attachments to my mouth.
But I officially have Invisalign and I'm going to be on this journey until, I think August, right before my wedding.
And if you want to see me talk about it and show like the Invisalign journey, I'm posting about it on social media.
So my TikTok and Instagram are in the show notes.
There are only two more episodes until 2026 this one and next week's And before I do an episode that gives you motivation for the new year, I wanted to do one where I talk about what I'm personally letting go of from 2025.
I think, in order to bring in what you want, it's important that you let go of what no longer serves you to make room for what does.
It's hard to call in what you want when you still have contradicting and complicated things in your life that don't align with who you want to be or how you want your life to look.
So today I'm going to be letting you in on some of the habits, people and mindsets that I'm leaving in 2025.
It's going to be a very raw and real chat.
So if you're into that and you want to release some unwanted things before 2026, keep on listening.
The first thing that i'm leaving in 2025 is my bad habit of starting things but not finishing them, not staying committed to them, kind of half-assing them.
If i'm being honest, the things that i told myself i would stick to that are inherently good for me, but i just i can't get it together.
For example, brushing my teeth at least twice a day, you know, brushing my teeth before i go out and hang out with people.
And I know this sounds gross and this is definitely something that I would have had to let go of regardless, because I have Invisalign now and my dental routine is much more complex.
But I grew up in a house where hygiene in general wasn't taught and it wasn't mandatory.
I wasn't dirty or gross by any means.
I still showered and I did brush my teeth.
I'm not saying that I was neglected as a child, But it wasn't my parents' main priority.
So it wasn't my main priority.
I've always been someone who has to brush their teeth in the morning.
Like I will never skip brushing my teeth in the morning.
It's the first thing I do when I open my eyes, especially if I'm having a sleepover with someone or waking up next to Josh.
I need to brush my teeth immediately because I'm so afraid of having bad breath.
But brushing my teeth before bed has never been as important to me.
And I think it's because in my mind, I've always been like, I'm going to bed.
Like I'm not talking to anyone have to do it if I don't want to, whereas in the morning I'm like oh, I have to do this, and I'm also just much more lazy and I want to be in bed snug as a bug and I don't want to get up and brush my teeth.
I also want to make it clear that I do brush my teeth before bed.
More times than not.
I do brush, it's just.
I made this a goal of mine to not ever skip a night of brushing and I didn't stick to that goal.
This is just a small thing that I do want to make a priority and I don't want to skip over it just because it's not going to affect other people.
It's going to affect me.
The version of myself who takes care of herself, brushes her teeth at least twice a day and does not skip over brushing her teeth before bed.
The same thing with allowing my house to get dirty.
Having a clean space is really important to me, and I'm fully aware of how much more productive I am and how much better my mental health is when my house is clean.
And I told myself at the I would deep clean my house every single Sunday and then, throughout the week, I would keep up with vacuuming, you know, every other day, because I have two dogs who shed a lot and at times I'm very good about it, but I'm just not following through all the way in the way that I told myself I would.
There's always a reason why I can't clean up today.
There's always an excuse for why I don't need to, whether it's because I'm too busy or I don't feel good, or there's something more important to do.
The same thing with my goals for staying active multiple times throughout the week, not ordering takeout more times than I'm eating healthy and at home, not being on top of my vitamins or taking my birth control daily, not sticking to the routines I specifically put in place to take care of myself and help me feel good, like journaling twice a day, reading in bed instead of scrolling, doing my morning meditation.
All these things that I had set into place I was really good at in the beginning, when I first started them, and I had a really strong start.
But then life gets in the way and excuses get in the way and I do less and less of what I told myself I would do.
I think it's reasonable to be understanding with yourself, to give yourself grace to not put so much pressure on yourself to perform.
I think it's so important to allow yourself to rest.
But I also think it's important to have an idea of what you actually want to accomplish and what's important to you.
And to make those things happen, make those things a priority.
I think my problem this year was that I had so many things that I felt like I had to complete.
I had so many areas of my life that I was unsatisfied with.
So I had such a long list of things to take care of and it just became too much for me and it wasn't realistic.
So I think when it comes to 2026, I want to be much more specific, have a much smaller list.
So that way I can be better at staying dedicated to those goals and to those habits and to those routines and not allow myself to push them aside because I'm lazy or I don't want to or whatever other reason I give myself.
So I will be making a realistic and attainable list of my weekly habits and building routines that I know I can follow through on and that are going to make a difference.
And I'm leaving all the other excuses behind in 2025.

Going off of that, another thing that I'm leaving behind in 2025 is environments that slow me down.
One of the reasons that I wanted to make keeping my space clean a priority is because I know that chaos and messiness is super overwhelming to me and it gets in the way of my productivity and motivation.
And honestly, it just keeps me from doing what I need to do.
Last week, I finally took the time to clean up my office and my podcast studio space.
I rearranged everything.
I organized everything.
I put things where they need to go.
Because genuinely, for the last couple months since I moved into this house...
I've been avoiding those rooms like the plague.
There were boxes everywhere.
There were clothes everywhere.
It was just such a big mess.
And it made me not want to go in there and sit down at my desk and do my work, because it was just so visually overstimulating.
When my desk is filled with papers and notebooks and junk.
I don't want to sit down and work on the podcast or plan my social media or answer emails, because there's just too much in my face.
I physically cannot settle down and focus and get myself to concentrate.
The same thing when it comes to my digital space.
It's really hard for me to be on top of answering emails and remembering who to respond to or what I need to get back to when I have an inbox of thousands of emails.
Two years ago, I think, I made it a goal of mine to have two inboxes one for personal and junk mail and then another one for my business emails.
And somewhere between then and now, my junk email got mixed into my business email.
And I kid you not, I have probably...
8,000 unread emails in my inbox.
Not that all of those emails are of importance.
More than likely they're not and they're just spam or they're promotional emails from brands but it takes a long time and a lot of energy to go through and delete those, so I don't.
So it's a mess.
This also goes for the space of my phone, my messages.
I don't have many unread messages right now because I'm relatively good at responding, because I hate when people ignore me, but i am really bad at deleting messages.
Like i have messages and conversations that date back to the beginning of the year and it's just taking up storage and visually it's a lot to look at, it's unnecessary and it's only there because i haven't taken the time to go through everything and delete them and see what i do and don't need.
The same thing with the photos on my phone.
I am so bad at going through my photo album and deleting photos that i don't need.
When I take photos even if I'm taking a photo of an iced coffee I'm snapping a million photos.
Realistically, I only need one good photo of an iced coffee, right?
But I want to make sure I get the right angle.
I want to make sure I make the iced coffee look as good, as delicious as I can.
So instead of having, you know, one photo, I end up taking 50 photos.
And don't even get me started if I'm taking photos of myself, especially if Josh is taking photos of me.
I've trained him so well.
He will literally rapid fire a million photos.
Again, I really only need one to three good photos of me.
But instead of taking one or three photos, I end up taking 500 photos.
And then there's screenshots and photos I'm working on and 20 different video clips for one video that I'm editing.
And everything just adds up and my photo albums are filled with things that are no longer needed.
And again, it's taking up space and it's stressing me out.
For me, it's really hard to have spaces of my life like this where it's just chaos and it's messy, because it keeps me away from life what I actually need to do.
For example, I might have an idea of a photo or a video that I want to post or that I want to edit, but it takes so long for me to execute that because I'll go into my photo album or I'll go into CapCut looking for what I need and then I get distracted by other things, or there's just so much content that I physically can't find it.
So I definitely want to leave the habit of allowing things to pile up and slow me down in 2025.
I want to go into 2026 and continue in 2026, keeping things more organized and having more structure so I can actually be productive and achieve the things that I want to get done for the year.
I want to make my life easier.
I want things to run more smoothly and I think keeping environments clean and in order will definitely help me achieve my goals in 2026.
Moving on to people or relationships that I'm leaving behind in 2025, the first being I'm no longer going to allow myself to continue forcing connections with people that aren't meant to be.
I don't want to go into 2026 ever feeling like, if I were to stop reaching out to the person and putting in effort, that there would be no friendship.
It's really difficult and it's a very sticky situation when you care and love someone so deeply and you want that connection with them to work out.
But it feels like they're doing everything in their power to have the opposite.
You envision a life with them, whether that's romantically or platonically.
And you picture creating a life with them, or you picture them being a big part of your life, like being part of your wedding.
And you put a lot of effort and energy into that person.
You make it a point to show them that they matter to you.
You do your very best to be a good friend and you show up for them as much as you're able to.
But their actions show they feel differently or they want different things than you.
It's hard when you have someone telling you that they want to be part of your life and they want to have this connection with you and you want that too, but they're doing absolutely nothing to make that connection work.
It's one thing if someone's verbally expressing to you that they're uninterested or they don't want to be part of your life, but it's another thing for someone to be like I love you so much.
You're my best friend.
Let's get together soon.
And then they never follow through on that ever.
Or they just ghost you until who knows when.
People who do this typically are breadcrumbing you.
And this can happen in romantic relationships, but also in friendships.
Breadcrumbing essentially is giving someone a low amount of effort and just enough attention to keep them around.
They'll sprinkle you with texts and compliments and plans. but they never follow through with them.
And there's never any consistent effort.
They'll occasionally text you, oh my God, I miss you.
Like we should hang out soon.
But they never make concrete plans with you.
And even when they do, they cancel on you.
And when you call them out for it, or you say, I haven't seen you in a while.
They're like, well, I tried to make plans to things just come up.
There's just always an excuse.
They want to keep your attention and they want to keep you hopeful that you're going to work out, but they don't want to put any actual effort or energy into the friendship or the relationship.
And I want to be clear that there is a difference between breadcrumbing and a low maintenance friendship, because I know some people are going to hear this and be like well, why do I always have to hang out with them?
Why do I always have to text them?
Like we're not in a relationship.
That's not what I'm saying.
I'm saying that real genuine friendships take mutual effort to work out.
If there's one friend who's consistently lacking in that and They fail to follow through and they only come through when they're in need of something.
That's not fair.
That's not mutual.
Like I said before, if you have to ask yourself if I were to stop putting in the effort and energy that I am right now, would there be a friendship?
That is not a low maintenance friendship.
That's not a friendship at all.
Your friends will not make you question whether you're actually friends or if they like you.
I'm going into my last year of my 20s.
I'm going to be 29 in April and I have experienced many friendships throughout my life, but specifically in my 20s.
I've gone through friendship breakups.
I've dealt with narcissists.
I've dealt with very emotionally unavailable people, but I've also made really strong friendships.
I am very confident saying that I know what I want and I know what I certainly do not want, and I cannot allow myself another year of ignoring my needs and my boundaries and allowing people to disrespect me just because I want a friendship to work out.
I found that I allow past memories and the strength of a connection with someone in the past to fog what we are now and how that person's treating me now.
For example, I may have had a very strong friendship with someone in the past.
We might have had a very strong foundation and they are a very important person to me.
But as of recently, they haven't been a good friend to me.
They haven't been treating me good.
And they haven't been putting in any effort into our friendship.
Instead of looking at how this person's treating me and how this person makes me feel and, you know, realizing okay, maybe this friendship isn't going to work.
I make excuses for them and try to gloss over what's actually happening because I want to make it work so bad.
Emotions can really get in the way of reality.
It's hard to admit that someone isn't who they used to be or they're not who you thought they were.
It's hard to let go of a connection with someone who you wanted to be a part of your life and you took so much time out of your life to be there for.
But in 2026, I need to follow my own advice that I give to you.
And that is when someone shows you who they are, believe them.
When someone shows you how they feel about you, believe them.
It doesn't matter how much someone tells you they love you or they care about you.
If their actions consistently say the opposite, believe that's how they actually feel about you, because that is what they're putting effort into.
They're making decisions that work against your connection, whether that's just consistently not answering your messages or consistently ditching you or putting others before you or only showing up for you when they're lonely or they need a favor.
I'm understanding like i'm never going to expect someone to give me the same amount of effort that i give to them, especially because i am someone who wants to give a lot and i know that can be a lot, so i never expect that.
But i'm at a place where, if i need to consistently reach out to you to see you, or if i need to triple text you to just get a response from you, or i feel like i'm forcing you to be a person in my life.
I don't want to do that anymore.
I don't feel like it's my job to do that.
It's not my responsibility to entertain you enough or interest you enough to put effort into our friendship.
So I'm leaving that in 2025.
I'm no longer begging for anyone's time or energy.
If it's not there, then I'm not either.
This episode is sponsored by Fabletics.
A goal of mine this year was to stay active and find a workout class that I enjoy.
So for the past couple of months I've been going to bar, which I love, but one of my favorite parts of going to class has been being able to wear a cute workout set.
I wanted to make sure that I was getting active wear that was cute, good quality and was going to be durable enough for my workouts, but also wasn't going to be super expensive.
So I went to Fabletics and signed up as a new VIP and I got 80% off everything.
Their pieces feel like the kind of high-end activewear that you'd pay 200 for, but you're getting that at a fraction of the price.
I love that I can get pieces every month that align with me and what's going on in my life.
Like for the month of December, I picked out this really cute red set with silver glitter, which I feel like is super Christmassy and festive, which is how I want to feel, because I love romanticizing life.
Fabletics pieces always stand out to me because of their comfort and how they fit my body.
Their pieces are always so soft, they're breathable, they have no roll waistbands and I can order their pants in petite, since I'm 5'1, so they're not so long and I'm not tripping on them like I usually do with other brands.
Fabletics already has amazing deals, but right now they're running their biggest sale of the year on top of that and I've got an exclusive offer just for you 80 off everything when you sign up as a VIP.
Head to fabletics.com slash TNTC and sign up as a VIP to get 80% off everything.
This is only available through my link.

That's fabletics.com slash TNTC.
Next, I am no longer feeling pressure to try to understand someone who is unwilling to communicate how they feel.
This goes back to me wanting the connection to work out, me wanting the friendship to continue.
I want to defuse any conflict.
I want to make sure that me and this person are on good terms.
But when someone's unwilling to let you in on how they're feeling and they keep it to themselves, it shouldn't be your job consistently to figure out what's wrong.
I pick up very easily on energy.
I can quickly tell if someone's mad at me or if there's tension, or if they're pulling away or if something's just a little out of whack.
And I don't know if it's from being burnt in the past and going through friendship breakups or if it's pattern recognition, but I'm really good at it.
So when someone is being short with me, or they're being a little snappy, or their communication is changing in a big way, I want to figure out What's causing that.
I want to figure out what's going on.
I'm someone who wants to problem solve.
I want to get to the root of the problem and I want to come to a resolution.
And although that can be a good thing you know it's good that people can communicate and they can problem solve and they can handle difficult conversations it becomes a problem when you're trying to solve a problem that is not yours to solve.
When i think someone's mad at me, i'm going over every possible scenario in my head of where i went wrong.
What did i do wrong?
Did i say something wrong?
What am i apologizing for?
Which again, is a good thing if you're able to take accountability and be self-aware.
But sometimes you didn't do anything wrong and you're driving yourself insane, trying to solve a problem and solve an issue when no one has even addressed that there is an issue.
That is something that I need to work on in 2026.
If someone has not addressed that there is an issue, then it's not your issue.
It's not my issue.
I'm just so over trying to read someone else's mind and trying to figure out where the tension's coming from.
It's uncomfortable to be skating around a conversation trying to read someone else's body language or trying to read how someone's speaking to you or responding to you, and not sure if you're misreading them or if you're not picking up on something, all because they're unable to say how they feel.
Like I said, I am someone who wants to diffuse an argument or a conflict.
I want to tackle it.
If there is something to be tackled, I'm not uncomfortable asking if everything's okay.
But it comes to a point where it's like, if the only way I know how you feel is if I ask, that's unfair to me.
It goes back to the mutual effort.
In a friendship, you both need to be able to communicate.
If you're the only one communicating and asking how they're feeling and trying to diffuse the situation in order to keep a friendship, It's not fair.
It's not fair to your mental health.
It's not fair to have someone randomly start ignoring your messages, but they're viewing your Instagram stories and posting like sub tweets on social media, or you hear them talking about how they feel to everyone else, but you.
It can give you a lot of anxiety.
Like it genuinely gives me so much anxiety.
I feel like I'm back in middle school trying to figure out if my friend's my friend anymore.
It can really negatively impact your mental health.
And a friend shouldn't do that to you, especially if they care about you and they care about your friendship.
They should want to come to a resolution with you.
So I just really want to keep that in mind.
For the new year, I want to let go of trying to regulate other people's mental and emotional health.
I just really struggle with allowing how other people feel to affect me.
And I have a lot going on as it is.
I shouldn't have to worry about everyone else too.
So that needs to stay in 2025.
Now I want to finish off the episode with the mindsets that I'm leaving in 2025.
First off, I'm leaving the fear of being me behind for good.
This is the whole reason why I started trying not to care.
I'm trying not to care.
If you keep up with my podcast, I consistently talk about why you should not care what people think.
But it is one thing to be able to give that advice and say you shouldn't care.
It makes sense that you shouldn't care.
Who cares?
People don't like you.
But it's another thing to take that advice all the time.
Everyone has good days and bad days.
There are days where I'm feeling really confident and I'm really proud of my work and I'm just really on and I can naturally be my most authentic self and not give a rat's ass.
I can post on social media and not care about what people think.
I can walk into a party and own the place.
I can speak my mind and not be afraid of the repercussions.
But I'm also human.
And I also have bad days where I'm not feeling confident.
I'm feeling quite insecure and I don't feel good about myself and I'm unsure what I'm doing.
Or I'm about to venture into uncharted territory and I'm nervous and anxious with the unknown.
And I do care what people think.
That's normal, right?
It is normal to get nervous.
It's normal to get anxious.
It's normal to get in your head.
What I personally want to work on and what I want to leave behind is letting that take over and be my normal.
I don't want most of my time to be worrying about what other people think about me or second guessing my decisions out of fear of what people are going to say or what people are going to think.
I don't want to hold myself back from opportunities or risk missing out on important chapters in my life because of fear.
I recently saw a TikTok where it said something along the lines of if I only get one chance and this is my only lifetime and I only get to be me this one time, I should be the best version of me.
And hearing that made something click for me.
It's so obvious, like duh, but it's so true.
Like if this is my one chance at being me, one shot, no do-overs.
Why am I not being an elevated version of me?
Why am I not being the best me that I can be?
Why am I not doing everything that I want to do?
What am I possibly waiting for?
When do I think there's going to be a right time to live the way that I want to, or be the person I want to be, in the next lifetime?
That isn't even promised.
And even if it was, it's probably not gonna be me, it's gonna be someone else.
So why am I not allowing myself to be my most authentic self?
Why am I half-assing that?
If I have a clear vision of the life that I wanna live, the things I wanna achieve, the experiences I would love to have, Why am I not going after it?
When do I think those things are going to happen?
Why am I not dressing the way that I want?
Why am I not sharing more of my thoughts?
Why am I not taking every opportunity that's passed my way?
Why am I not pitching myself more and putting myself in positions that put me in a place that I wanna be?
What am I waiting for?
The only thing that's holding me back is You guessed it, me.
My potential is being stunted by my own self-limiting beliefs and fear of judgment.
For example, I think acting would be really cool.
I think that would be something that I would do really good in.
I always say that I wish I did theater in high school.
So it's like, why am I not doing that now?
Why am I not doing acting now then?
It might not be my end all be all.
I might try it and be like, OK, maybe this isn't for me.
But I've been putting, at least trying on the back burner because one I'm not really sure where to start.
But two, I'm like, what if I audition and they laugh at me and it's awful?
It's all of these what ifs.
What if someone thinks this thing about me?
What if this person doesn't like me?
What if this thing happens?
It's like, well, OK, then it does.
And you handle it.
But you won't know if you don't try and put yourself out there and see it through.
No one likes to be disliked.
No one likes to hear that people are talking badly about them.
No one likes to be judged.
And that's where people policing tendencies come from.
But if I've learned one thing through doing this podcast and stepping out of my comfort zone is there's nothing better than being praised for being yourself.
You could be praised for following the crowd and doing what other people want of you.
You can be the best people pleaser.
You can be the most accommodating person ever, but it's still not going to feel as rewarding as being praised for being yourself because you're not doing it for you.
You're doing it for other people.
When you follow your intuition and your aspirations and you live in alignment with your desires and then people recognize your hard work or your talent or your greatness.
That's when you feel fulfilled.
That's when you feel successful.
That's when you feel proud of yourself.
Because the real you is being acknowledged.
The real you is being praised.
You're less likely to experience things like imposter syndrome when you're not putting on an act and you don't have to wear a mask for people to see you and hear you and understand you.
And people are just naturally gravitating towards you and appreciating you for you being yourself.
When you show up shamelessly and authentically yourself, you're less likely to feel unworthy or feel like you have to put on that mask and be someone else to be seen.
The more that you cosplay and you try to be like other people, you try to do what others are doing, you follow the trends.
That's when you move away from yourself and you start to dislike yourself more, because you feel like you have to be these other things to be appreciated and to be seen.
Every time that you abandon yourself and you try to be like other people, you are reinforcing the idea that you're not enough and you have to be someone else.
I don't want to do that next year.
I want to fully and shamelessly show up as who I am and I want to embrace all the things that I want to do.
I'm going to be very intentional about my vision board for 2026 and the list that I make for 2026.
And I'm going to do my very best to not stray away from it or be scared of going after those things.
I think what I want to take with me is reminding myself that I would rather call on people who are like me and who see me being me and resonate with me, rather than pretend to be something else or try to impress other people but have them not actually like the real me.
I want the people that I surround myself with, or the people that follow me, to really connect with me, the real me.
Authenticity definitely comes with being disliked.
But again, it's more rewarding to have some people dislike you, but you're also in the company of people who truly love you and admire you and want to see more of you for you being who you actually are.
And then the last thing that I'm leaving behind in 2025 or, I guess, the last thing that I'm sharing in this episode is
The mindset that failure leads to a dead end.
It's not that I necessarily think this or I have this mindset, but I think when things don't work out or they don't go your way, it's really easy to feel as though that's how it is.
It's very easy to get stuck and not know how to navigate around it and turn it into something better.
There's been times where I've I feel as if I failed and I'm like, okay, well, I guess that's it.
Okay, I guess it's not meant for me.
I guess some people deserve it and I don't.
And it's like, well, no, that's not true.
It's just not meant for you right now.
That doesn't mean that it's never going to be for you.
It's just not right right now.
So either pivot and figure out what is ready for you or, if you really want this thing, if you're really set on it, Try again.
It's never a dead end.
It's always a redirection.
Rejection is redirection.
That's why, although I am very big on manifestation, I think having emotions tied to your goals is important.
I think visualization is a big part of making things work.
I never want to get attached to something happening at a specific time or in a specific way, because what happens is when you're so set on, this thing has to happen at this date.
When it doesn't happen by the timeline that you gave, It's very easy to feel like OK well, it didn't happen.
So I guess it's never going to happen.
So I'm just going to give up.
If you're saying I'm going to do X, Y and Z by the end of next year and then next year comes and you haven't completed it yet, you might be like OK well, it didn't happen.
So it's not for me.
So on to the next goal.
You're just more likely to give up.
Whereas if you have a goal in mind and you know in your heart and your soul it's going to happen, regardless of when it happens and you don't have this very strict timeline, you're more likely to continue working at it and believing in yourself and aligning yourself with things that are going to bring you closer to it.
When you're not so set on things happening in a specific way or at a specific time.
Or you're less likely to feel like you failed every time things go in a different direction, or you feel like you've hit a wall or there's an obstacle in your way.
When those things happen, you're not just going to turn around and give up.
You're going to find a way around it and continue on your journey, or find a new path that's different than your initial goal but aligns more with what you want now.
Also, when you've failed at something before and then you're given another chance or another opportunity, it can be very intimidating and sometimes even feel hopeless.
Like there's no point because I've already tried that and it didn't work out.
So I don't want to waste my time.
For example, I had gone to New York Fashion Week last year in 2024 and I struggled a little bit.
I just didn't have the best time.
I wasn't in the best company.
So then this year when I was invited again, I
I went back and forth on whether I should go or not.
And then something had come up that gave me an excuse to not go.
So I didn't.
And now I regret not going because I feel like it would have been a good opportunity for me to rewrite a situation that didn't go great the first time but could have been amazing the second time around.
I could have connected with some really great brands and really great creators.
And it's also something that I've always had in my vision board in the past.
So it feels like me rejecting it now is kind of like an F you to past me, which isn't fair.
One bad experience shouldn't determine my future.
Just because something doesn't work out once doesn't mean that it's not going to work out again.
So with that being said, if I'm given the opportunity to go in 2026, I'm going.
I also just want to be less hard on myself and look at failure as a blessing in disguise.
There's been so many times in my life where things didn't go according to plan.
And although in the moment it sucked, eventually it made sense why it didn't work out.
And I was grateful that it didn't work out.
Things had to go sideways in order for something else to happen, something better to happen.
And ultimately, even after a failure, I was so grateful that I quote unquote failed.
So in 2026, it's not, you know, this thing didn't work out.
So I failed and I'm behind and I'm a loser.
If something doesn't work out in 2026 or in the future, it's because something better is coming.
Rejection is redirection.
I want to close out this episode with encouraging you to ask yourself what you're letting go of in 2025.
What didn't serve you, what made you feel stuck, what made you feel not good about yourself?
And then did the relationships and friendships in your life feel good to you?
Did they feel secure and did they feel mutual?
Figure out what are the things that you don't want to bring in to 2026.
Next week's episode is going to be more about what we're calling in and who we want to be in 2026.
So, before we get into that, figure out who you don't want to be, what you don't want to have in your life.
That is everything for today's episode.
