Today is a sad day.
It's my last day of summer.
I start my junior year of high school tomorrow at 7.45am.
Instead of sitting around being depressed all day, I thought I'd film something, so enjoy whatever this video is.
So yeah, since today's my last day of summer, I thought I'd get some coffee, because a good caffeine high can fix anything.
The main goal, the main priority here is that I'm keeping myself busy and keeping my mind off of the fact that I start school tomorrow.
I've been dreading to go back to school supply shopping because that's like me accepting the fact that this is real like summer's over.
I don't necessarily know why i'm choosing to film this.
I guess i just need something that will make this a little more bearable, and i literally parked right next to a bees bush, so let's get out of here before they attack.
I don't really know what to talk about.
Normally I go to Target for my back to school supplies, but this year I'm not doing that.
I'm gonna switch things up this year because I've noticed all of the smart kids, or the kids that at least look smart.
Shop at Staples.
I feel like if I shop at Staples and get the good professional fancy supplies this year, maybe my teachers will actually take me seriously and give me good grades, or just assume I'm smart for once.
Moral of the story is we're heading to Staples because I want to be smart or at least look smart.
Why does everyone pass me?
I'm going, like, 10 over the speed limit.
I probably shouldn't say that.
I get scared when I go, like, 5 over the speed limit.
I don't know how these people are passing me.
I hate when people are like merging and like it's like that awkward, like do you speed up and go in front of them or like let them go in front of you.
I feel like a force is like holding me back from like, going to get the supplies, because I don't want to accept the fact that I'm actually starting school.
Siri?
Hello, speak to me, I don't know where I'm going.
I don't know where I'm going, okay.
Siri does not know what she's talking about.
This is why I don't use Siri.
But it's like, if I don't use Siri, who am I gonna use if I don't use Siri?
You know?
Like, I can't use my own brain to Google Mac.
I'm gonna shut up, Siri.
You're not being, you're being-
I like to blame Siri for like making me go the wrong way, but literally this whole reason I'm lost right now.
It's my fault.
I'm just blaming her because I don't like to admit my own problems.
Oh, I just kind of did.
The truth is, I'm just really directionally challenged, but I don't want to admit the fact that I don't know how to drive.
In a quarter mile, turn right onto North...
I'm here.
Let's go get this over with before I cry.
I have to, um, organize that all.
So it's a little bit later now.
I'm currently on my roof.
There's bugs everywhere and I'm kind of freaking out.
I wanted to come out here and end off this video by just reflecting and embracing the last few moments of summer.
There's a bug.
Oh my gosh, there's bugs.
I've been trying to find a way to like properly move on from this part of my life and say goodbye to the summer.
This summer I've genuinely felt so content and fulfilled and just happy with everything.
So it's just really hard to face reality and like wrap my head around the fact that I actually start school tomorrow.
I didn't go to Fiji or the Bahamas or something.
I literally just made the most out of what I did end up doing.
The things I've done this summer, the people I've been around this summer, the videos I've made are things i will literally never forget.
This video is more for me.
It's just the video i'm going to come back to to remind myself how good life can be, even if it's bad.
In school, ending of sophomore year was seriously so bad and so rough for me, and I genuinely hated everything about existing.
This summer has not only been the best summer of my life, but it's showed me how great existing can actually be.
With, that being said, junior year, I truly do not know what to expect or what's going to happen by the time next summer happens.
I just know I'm trying to prepare myself.
I'm trying to be in the right mindset about this school year.
But if I'm going to do that, I need to accept the fact that summer 2018 is officially over.
Woo!
Yay!
Woo!
