Oh, hey, Mindy.
Who are you talking to?
Oh, and you too.
Hi.
Oh, hey, Guy Raz.
I'm just making some new friends.
Oh, that's great.
Where are they?
Up there on the moon.
Your friends are on the moon?
Yep.
They're craters.
The moon has over 100,000 craters, and a lot of them have names.
Oh, so what's that one?
Oh, that's Tycho.
And that one over there is Shackleton.
And that one up there, oh, that's my good friend, Picard.
Hey, how you doing, buddy?
Mindy, you're going to wake up the whole camp.
Sorry.
I should probably get to bed anyway.
It's almost 3 a.m.
Let me just say goodnight to everyone up there.
Goodnight, Jackson.
WeWOW is an awesome place.
Physics, biology, and outer space.
Science explorers with our headquarters.
Oh, Dennis.
Here at Camp WeWOW.
Okay, that's enough.
Welcome back to Camp WeWow, the invisible summer camp for science explorers everywhere.
With your favorite camp counselors, Mindy and Guy Raz.
This week is Space Week and we have a galaxy full of activities inspired by our Wow in the World episode.
Hey Mars, Put a Ring on It.
If you missed it, you can listen to yesterday's episode for an encore.
Yesterday, we learned about the Stickney Crater.
A five and a half mile wide crater on Mars's moon, Phobos.
And today, we're going to make some craters of our own.
But first, here's Dennis with today's camp weather forecast.
Dennis, what's the weather in the great outdoors?
Thanks, Mindy.
Okay, time for today's Camp Wee Wow weather forecast.
So far this morning, sunny.
But then, mid-morning, it looks like it will be sunny.
Late morning...
Also sunny.
Then more sun, more sun, and more and more sun, which will then shift to partly sunny.
Uh-huh.
But then quickly step back to regular old sunny.
Now, while the late afternoon will be sunny, the early evening will be even more sunny.
However, that works.
What?
Dennis!
Then the sun will continue shining as we go into the late evening, followed by... Okay!
And that's Dennis with the weather, everyone.
Thanks, Dennis.
Now, let's head over to the auditorium.
And while we're walking, we've got a special message to send home to your grown-ups.
Boo!
Camp WeWow will be right back.

Now back to camp.
Welcome back, campers.
It's Space Week here at Camp WeWow, and we have an activity for you that we call Crater Creator.
Does anyone remember how craters are formed?
Yeah.
That's right, Reg.
Craters are formed when asteroids or other pieces of space rock hit a planet or moon.
So today, I'm going to show you how to make your own crater-covered moon.
Oh, yeah.
Show us, Skyrosmos of the cosmos.
Well, I have a cake pan with some flour in it and a few small rocks.
And I'll just drop in one rock at a time.
I'll take them out.
Five, four, three, two, one.
And ta-da!
It looks like a moon with craters.
Right?
Do you want to give it a try, Mindy?
You know I do.
Be right back.
Run, run, run, run, run.
Where are you going?
Put on your hard hat, Guy Raz.
What in the?
Mindy, is that a backhoe?
Yep.
I figured if small rocks make small craters, then giant boulders would make giant craters.
I mean, you're not wrong, but... Look out below!
Watch your head, Guy Raz!
Okay, well, we're going to take a short break while I... Incoming!
Runaway screaming!
Ah!
Ahem!
Oh, is this thing on?
Oh, there we go.
Attention, campers!
Thomas Fingerling here at the Lost and Found.
It seems that some of you have left your belongings all strewn about camp, all willy-nilly, and now they've ended up in this here box.
But don't worry, I'll go through and describe what we have.
Okay, let's see here.
We've got a pair of bathing pajamas.
Let's see what else.
Looks to be a half-eaten pudding cup.
Oh wait, that's from my lunch.
Never mind.
What's this last thing here?
It's a book entitled Guy Raz's Private Diary.
Keep out.
Oh, no.
Oh, sounds like a bestseller.
Sorry.
Okay, that looks to be about it.
Come pick up your misplaced knick-knack paddywhacks at the Lost and Found.
I'll be here sitting in my beanbag chair eating the rest of this pudding and reading this here book, book.
Okay, there we go, dear diary.
It's me, guy rossi.
Today i misplaced my bathing pajamas and i don't think i have a backup.
Mindy says it'll be fine, but i definitely think it will not be fine.
Well, that just about does it for today's Camp Wee, Wow.
But before we go, here's a quick refresher on today's project, Crater Creator.
You can try this on your own.
Just fill a cake pan halfway with flour, and then drop a few small rocks one by one.
Remove the rocks, and Elvis presto, you've got a moon full of craters.
And just a reminder, don't try this with boulders.
Unless you have a license to operate heavy machinery.
Great point, Guy Raz.
Well, don't forget to take a photo or a video.
And grown-ups, you can upload pictures and videos to us at tinkercast.com slash share.
We also have a question for you this week.
Where would you go if you could visit anywhere in the galaxy?
Personally, I would visit the Crab Pulsar, a neutron star that spins 30 times per second with its incredible flashing lights, and It's the perfect place for a dance party.
So what about you?
Where would you want to visit and why?
Call us at 1-888-7-WOW-WOW to tell us where you would go.
We'll be sharing some of your messages around the campfire on Friday.
And we'll see you tomorrow for another great day at Camp WeWOW.
Who wows?
WeWOW!
