📋 Summary

The Confrontation at Costello’s Apartment

In the eleventh installment of the Missing Person series, Dr. Reeves reaches a critical turning point in his investigation. After the tragic discovery of John Costello’s murder and the death of Sarah Salas, Dr. Reeves begins to see that the pieces of the puzzle are finally starting to make sense. He realizes that he has uncovered the truth behind Sarah’s death, but he lacks the necessary proof to substantiate his claims. To secure the evidence required to solve the case, he enlists the help of his friend, Kathy Chang, and prepares for a clandestine operation.

The Break-in

Dr. Reeves spends the afternoon waiting for nightfall, noting that he had some time to kill before his planned arrival. Arriving at the apartment building exactly at 7:30 p.m., he notes that he is right on schedule. He proceeds to break into John Costello’s apartment, which is located on the first floor. Upon entering through a window that was already cracked open, he discovers that he is not alone. He finds someone in the kitchen and, in a moment of high tension, confronts the intruder by yelling, "Don't move!"

A Violent Struggle

To his revelation, the man in the kitchen is Bill, Sarah Salas's husband. The confrontation turns violent immediately. Bill attempts to attack Dr. Reeves by grabbing a frying pan and hurling it toward his face. Dr. Reeves manages to duck down, avoiding the projectile, but a physical altercation ensues. As they fight, Dr. Reeves notices his gun on the floor and attempts to reach for it. However, Bill is faster; he seizes the weapon and points it directly at Dr. Reeves.

The Villain's Confession

With the gun aimed at him, Bill gloats, confirming that Dr. Reeves had indeed figured out the truth. Bill heartlessly admits, "I did kill Sarah, and now I will get all of her money," while mocking Dr. Reeves by calling his impending death a reward for his intelligence. Bill stares at him with real hatred, clearly intent on murder.

A Potential Turning Point

As Dr. Reeves faces the barrel of the gun, he realizes he has very little time to act. He recalls the pills he previously discovered in Bill and Sarah’s bedroom—medication intended for Bill’s bad leg. This memory provides a glimmer of hope, as Dr. Reeves realizes he may have found a way to turn the tables on his captor. This cliffhanger sets the stage for the final episode of the series, leaving the audience to anticipate how Dr. Reeves will utilize this information to survive and bring Bill to justice.
