Vvvvvvvvvv. Coco -melon!
Hey, Cody, want to hear a story?
Yes, I do. Can I please help tell it, too?
Yes, listen close. Let's imagine in rhyme.
It's Coco -Melon Storytime!
Having fun playing in the snow, Cody?
I was, but my button fell off my coat.
That's OK, I can sew it back on.
You can? Sure. I just need a needle and some thread.
We should have those inside.
I'll help you go get them.
That's really nice of you, Cody.
This reminds me of a story based on an old Persian folktale.
It's called the Tale of Mousie's Tale.
There once was a boy named Reza, whose favorite stuffed animal was a mouse named mousey when Reza gave mousey a hug she'd go squeak squeak.
One day while they were climbing a tree mousey's tail got caught on a branch and mousey's tail fell off.
Oh no just like my button.
Exactly Reza gave mousey a hug and promised his friend I will not fail to fix your tail Reza didn't have a needle and thread plus he was too little to sew, so he went to the tailor.
What's a tailor? A tailor is someone who sews clothes, but Reza was hoping he could sew something else today.
Taylor, Taylor, can you please sew my mousy's tail back on?
But Reza couldn't believe what the tailor said.
Today of all days he was out of thread.
To make With more thread, I need wool from the shepherd. What's a shepherd?
Great question! A shepherd takes care of shape.
Oh, ha, ha, ha. Reza ran for the door and said, I'll go get the wool.
Don't worry, mousey, I will not fail to fix your tail.
When Reza found the shepherd, she was in the pasture taking care of her shape.
Reza said, Shepherd, shepherd!
May I please have some wool?" The shepherd wanted to help, but she couldn't trim her sheep's wool before giving them a snack.
She said, ""If you go to the baker to get some treats for my sheep, I can give you wool."" So Reza ran to the bakery and said, ""Faker, baker, the shepherd's sheep need something to eat.
Do you have their favorite treat?
I do, but it's missing something sweet.
Honey from the beekeeper is what I need.
So off Reza went with lots of speed.
I have to get the honey from the beekeeper to give to the baker to finish the treats to give to the sheep to get some wool to give to the tailor to make some thread to sew on Mousey's tail.
Phew! That's a lot!
It sure was, but Reza had a promise to keep to his friend.
I will not fail to fix your tail.
reza ran up a hill do you know where he was?
i'll give you a hint he heard a buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz he found a beekeeper that's right beekeeper beekeeper can you please give me some honey i can't gather honey till i water the flowers in my garden and i can't find my watering can Now, after running around all day long, Reza needed to take a seat and rest his feet.
What was that? Reza's foot knocked into the watering can.
He was so excited, he jumped back up and said, I found your watering can.
I can water the flowers for you, beekeeper.
Reza used the watering can to sprinkle every flower in the garden.
Meanwhile, the thankful beekeeper started scooping honey into a jar.
Soon the flowers glistened and the bees flew back in their hive.
Then the beekeeper gave Reza a big high five.
And the honey! And the honey!
Reza could finally go back and help everyone he promised to help.
He gave the honey to the baker to finish the treats, then gave the treats to the shepherd to give to her sheep.
Did the sheep give Reza enough of their wool?
Yes sir, yes sir. Three bags full.
Reza returned to the tailor and proudly said, Tailor, tailor, I watered the beekeeper's flowers to get the honey from the bees, to give to the baker, to finish the treats, to give to the shepherd, to feed the sheep, to get some wool to give to you, to make some thread, to sew on Mausie's tail.
Oh, Reza, I'm sorry.
The tailor shook his head.
As soon as you left, I found some thread!
What? I know. You'd think Reza might be upset.
There were so many things he just went to get.
But he thought about who he helped that day and felt proud he spent his time this way.
He helped everyone.
Including his friend Mousey.
The tailor took his needle and thread and finally sewed Mousie's tail back on.
Razza did not fail to fix Mousie's tail.
That's right, then Razza gave Mousie a big hug.
The End. We heard a story!
Yes, it's true. And I helped tell it, too.
We listened, imagined, and made some rhymes for Coco Melon Storytime!
