Listen for the sounds Listen listen listen Listen listen listen, Listen.
Everyone listen and play.
Where are we today?
We're on a farm.
Do you know which animal makes this sound?
It's a cow.
Moo!
Moo!
Moo!
Yes, it's Camilla the farmer's cow.
And it's nearly time for milking.
Listen and play again.
Which animal is this?
It's a pig.
Oink, oink.
Oink!
Yes, it's Wrigley Piggly, the farmer's pig.
Off you go, Wrigley.
Back to your sty.
Listen again.
Which animal makes this sound?
Baa!
Baa!
It's a sheep.
It's Leapy the farmer's sheep.
Listen and play.
It's time to sing today.
Today's song is all about Camilla the cow, Wrigley the pig and Leepy the sheep.
I want you to join in and make the animal sounds with me.
It's called I Went to Visit a Farm One Day.
I went to visit a farm one day I saw a cow across the way And what do you think I heard it say?
Moo, moo, moo Moo, moo, moo I went to visit a farm one day.
I saw a sheep across the way.
And what do you think I heard it say?
I went to visit a farm one day.
I saw a pig across the way.
And what do you think I heard it say?
Oink, oink, oink.
Oink, oink, oink.
Listen, listen, listen.
It's rhyme time.
Today's rhyme is all about a pig too.
Little Peggy Wig on a farm close by, all by himself ran away from the sty.
The cow said moo, the sheep said bar.
Little Peggy Wig began to cry and as fast as he could ran back to the sty.
Listen, listen, listen, it's story time.
Can you hear snoring?
That's Farmer Guy.
He's in our story along with his pigs, the wriggly, piggly pigs.
Shh, listen.
Listen.
The story's called.
Once upon a night time down on the farm, Farmer Guy was in his lovely warm bed having a deep sleep when suddenly there was a at the door.
It can't be morning, I'm still yawning, sighed Farmer Guy.
Who is it?
And through the door he heard, Oink, oink, oink.
Now what animal can that be? said Farmer Guy.
Oink, oink, oink.
Oink!
It was the pigs.
Farmer Guy opened the door.
What do you want, piggly pigs? asked Farmer Guy.
And the pigs replied, Oink!
We've been wriggling so much in our deep sleep that our sty has fallen down.
Will you fix it for us?
Oink!
Oh my, said Farmer Guy, you are such wriggly piggly pigs.
I'll fix it in the morning by and by.
But just for now, you can sleep with the cows.
So he took the pigs to the cow's shed.
And no more of your wriggling, the farmer said.
Then he hurried back home to his lovely warm bed.
But no sooner was Farmer Guy having a deep sleep when there was a... at the door.
Oh, it can't be morning.
I'm still yawning, sighed Farmer Guy.
And through the door he heard moo, moo.
Moo!
What animal is it this time? said Farmer Guy.
Moo!
Moo!
Moo!
It was Camilla and... the cows.
Farmer Guy opened the door.
What do you want, cows? asked Farmer Guy.
And the cows replied, We can't sleep.
The pigs won't stop moving around and wriggling.
Oh my, said Farmer Guy.
Those pigs are such wriggly piggly pigs.
Moo, please fix their sty.
In the morning, by and by, said Farmer Guy.
Right now, I'll take them to sleep with the sheep.
So he took the pigs to the sheep's shed.
And no more of your wriggling, the farmer said.
Then he hurried back home to his lovely, warm bed.
But no sooner was Farmer Guy having a deep sleep when there was another.
And through the door he heard, It was Leapy and the sheep.
Farmer Guy opened the door.
What do you want, sheep? asked Farmer Guy.
And the sheep replied, We can't sleep.
The pigs won't stop wriggling.
Oh my, said Farmer Guy.
Those pigs are such wriggly, piggly pigs.
Please fix their sty, Farmer Guy.
In the morning, by and by, said Farmer Guy.
Then he said, Oh no, there's nowhere else for the pigs to go.
But wait a mo, I know.
And he took the pigs to his home instead.
And no more of your wriggling, the farmer said.
And they all settled down in his lovely warm bed.
But no sooner was Farmer Guy having a deep sleep...
When the pigs started wriggling and piggling and they wriggle-piggled Farmer Guy out of bed and he fell on the floor right on his bottom.
Ow!
Oh my, said Farmer Guy.
Those pigs are such wriggly, piggly pigs.
And then he knew what he had to do.
Off went Farmer Guy and fixed the pigs' sty so the wriggly piggly pigs could sleep in their own pigsty.
And Farmer Guy went back to his own lovely warm bed and fell at long last into a very, very deep...
Farmer Guy didn't get much sleep at all, did he?
Here's a song about a farmer who goes riding on his horse.
There's a naughty pig like Wrigley in it too.
As you listen to the song, bounce up and down to the rhythm of the lumpity bumpity horse ride.
A farmer went trotting upon his grey mare, bumpity bumpity bump.
With his daughter behind him so rosy and fair, Lumpety, lumpety, lump!
A pit cried oink and they all tumbled down, Bumpety, bumpety, bump!
The horse galloped off and went through the town, Lumpety, lumpety, lump!
A farmer went chasing his naughty grey mare, Bumpety, bumpety, bump!
And vowed he would stop it reaching the square Lumpety, lumpety, lumpety, lump A farmer went catching his naughty grey mare Bumpety, bumpety, bump He rode back to the farm and tethered it there Lumpety, lumpety, lump Lumpety, lumpety, lump Lumpety, lumpety, lump We've listened to lots of different farm sounds today.
I wonder how many other farm animals you know.
You could talk about it before next time.
Bye.
Listen, listen, listen.
