Did I eat with this title or what?
Your path is harder because your calling is higher.
Let's unpack that.
Sometimes, man, we just wish it could be easier.
We just, I mean, come on, you know, like some days that's what it feels like.
Come on, dude.
Like, when am I not going to feel like I'm underwater here?
But we have to understand something.
What we're in pursuit of, freedom, clarity, capability, success.
All of those things are, man, if you could just have those, I mean, what else?
To be surrounded by good people, to feel fulfilled, to have a passion that you can just get lost in and man like that's it.
Like that's it.
That's it.
And so what we're asking for is of extreme value, and anything of extreme value you gotta fight for, you have to fight for.
If you didn't have to fight for it, then there wouldn't be value to it.
You know, in order to appreciate clarity, you also have to know what it feels like to be lost.
In order to appreciate financial freedom, you got to know what it feels like to be broke.
You know what I'm saying?
And so anything, anything that is great, you have to fight for.
And your calling is great.
It is greater than you can even possibly fathom right now.
And so with that, the path is going to be hard.
It's going to be hard.
So the more we can detach ourselves from the desire for it to be easy And accept our struggle and the difficulty and the adversity and the failure and the dead ends and the sleepless nights as a responsibility to fulfill our greater purpose.
Man, it wakes up the fighting spirit within you because you're no longer the victim.
You're no longer underwater.
You become the pioneer.
You gain control.
You understand that when you face adversity, it is simply an opportunity to take a step closer to fulfilling that great calling that you are here to fulfill.
And what is that?
I don't know.
I don't know.
That's the wonderful part about it, my friend.
We have this innate drive. this fuel, this energy within us that is calling for something greater.
And the mystery, the ambiguity, the uncertainty of what that exactly looks like or where it's going to lead us is what makes life so poetic.
That's what creates adventure, my friend.
You know, the only reason any great story is as great as it is is because of the experience of not knowing what's going to happen in the next chapter.
You know, you are the character in your own novel and you have the potential to write the greatest story ever written.
My friend,
Now you tell me, what does the greatest story ever entail?
Is it like this?
No.
That character has ups, they have downs, they get lost, they meet people, they lose people, they experience tragedy.
They experience triumph and accomplishment.
They find their way.
There's moments of laughter, of sorrow, of fear, of courage, of bravery, of uncertainty.
You name it, it has it all.
That's what makes a great story, my friend.
So stop rejecting everything that makes your story great.
It's all valuable.
You have to have it all.
You can't have the good without the bad.
You simply can't.
Otherwise, what would be good wouldn't be good anymore.
The only reason something is good is because you have something bad to compare it to.
So learn to love the bad.
Learn to love the adversity.
Learn to love the failure because there's something on the other side of that.
So take it back.
Why is your path harder?
Answer that.
Answer that.
Why is your path harder?
It's because it's great.
Plain and simple.
Your path is harder because it's great.
When you can accept that, man, life becomes this poetic, beautifully treacherous, intimate process.
And you can truly romanticize.
You can fall in love and immerse yourself in everything that comes your way.
Get lost in it.
Get lost and embrace it.
Oh, my god.
You know i have seen tragic things.
I have lost everything i knew and loved at a point in my life and you know, 2020 was really the lowest point for me.
I was at rock bottom in literally every aspect of my life mind body spirit family friends, Future like I had.
I was at zero.
There came a day, after a couple of years of just lying victim to my circumstances, allowing life to happen to me.
There came a day where I picked up the pen and I realized that I had the power to create a great story.
Now, when you write a book, where do you start?
You don't start at the end.
You don't write a book backwards, do you?
No, you start with chapter one.
You start with chapter one, and today is your chapter one, my friend.
What do you do now?
Maybe for the last week, month, year, few years, You've been allowing life to happen to you.
You've been allowing your circumstances to determine your fate, your behaviors, the way you think, how you view yourself.
This is where things change.
At some point they have to, you know, and why not today?
Why not now?
Pick up the pen.
What other choice do you have?
Are you going to continue to let life happen to you?
Really?
I mean, you know where that got you.
You know how that feels.
It's unbearable.
It's torture.
And you have the power to change that.
Here and now.
Here and now.
Really, what's stopping you?
Like from this point forward, what is stopping you? from doing everything different.
I don't think there's much else to say.
I really don't.
Oftentimes, the most beautiful things, the most transformative things, the things that speak deepest to us simply are indescribable.
And so I'll leave you with that.
I appreciate your time and I will see you soon.
