I am your host, Stassi Schroeder.
Welcome to Tell Me Lies, the official podcast.
What's the most unhinged thing of season three?
Steven, because he's so evil.
Tell Me Lies, the official podcast, now streaming and stream the new season of Tell Me Lies on Hulu and Hulu on Disney.
Good morning, crust.
It's a great day to be a bread brother.
Mornings are not my jam or jelly.
Oh, come on.
Stop loafing around.
I just woke up feeling hollow inside.
Just grab one of the new morning on crustable sandwiches like bright eyed berry, or up an apple filled with 12 grams of protein and tons of deliciousness.
Crust, what are you eating?
It's just granola, not even yogurt.
No crust, no fuss.
Uncrust your mornings.

What is reality shifting?
Thanks for asking.
This trend took off among teenagers on both sides of the Atlantic during the first round of lockdowns last year.
It found its home on TikTok, all starting out with the shifting realities hashtag, which went from 170 million views to over a billion in just a few months.
Shifting implies moving one's own consciousness to another alternative reality.
It could be very similar to the so-called real world, with small differences or completely fictional.
It could be the world you've read about in a book, seen on TV, or simply invented from scratch.
Those who have tried it tend to describe their experience as being close to that of a lucid dream.
It's a concept which requires a lot of imagination.
I'm struggling to get my head around it.
Teens took on this new trend as a kind of therapy.
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, you've got to admit, the idea of escaping the real world and moving to another reality does seem tempting.
Forced to stay at home, they needed a way to bring some excitement and creativity into their lives.
They started to create scenarios and let their mind escape into a new invented reality for as long as they wished.
For shifters despite remaining present in the real world, the perception is that they're in another universe, the one they choose to shift to.
It's like you're talking to me in a foreign language.
Talking of which there's actually a whole set of jargon terms.
You'll need to learn to really understand reality shifting.
For example, CR stands for current reality, which basically means the real world.
Meanwhile, DR refers to a desired reality, which is where a shifter wants to get to.
Other terms like TR for temporary reality and WR for waiting room are kind of in the middle.
What kind of scenarios are possible with reality shifting?
They're pretty varied, but one in particular has stood out more than others.
Many have chosen to shift to the world of Harry Potter and, more specifically, the fantasy of meeting Draco Malfoy and becoming his girlfriend.
In truth, there are as many realities as there are shifters.
Anyone lacking inspiration can easily find suggested scenarios on social media in order to get started.
So tell me, how does shifting reality work?
And does it actually work?
Some tutorials on TikTok advise that shifting successfully requires following rituals like repeating affirmations or using visualization.
Some write detailed scripts to make the experience as immersive as possible.
But you shouldn't overthink.
The whole point is to relax and control your own mind.
Is it actually possible to move to another reality?
Well, some shifters certainly seem to think so.
I guess there's only one way to find out, and that's giving it a go.
Let's listen to YouTuber Christo talking about the Raven method for reality shifting, which is one of the most common.
To do this method, you need to lie down in a starfish position with none of your limbs touching.
From there, you count up to 100 or down from 100.
Try to be as still as possible.
You're trying to make your body fall asleep but keep your mind open.
Her video called How to Shift Realities 101 has been viewed over 16 million times since being posted in October 2020.
Aside from the creative capacities that shifting feeds, there's also the mystical, almost paranormal side to it, which has captured the imagination of many.
There you have it.
