Like, when did we stop?
I'm trying to remember the last time.
I don't even remember.
It's been... it's been a couple months for sure it's been maybe in october yeah right maybe i think so because i don't think we even did like a halloween episode i think we no we didn't even make it to to halloween and in 2024 so yeah now we're um yeah now we're in january or in january yeah 2025 yeah
i was just thinking my grandfather passed and i had the funeral in like july and that yeah so we were having a rough i think we were both having a rough go of 2024 yeah i was i was stretched too thin i was doing the english corner the a to z English Corner with the Chinese students, and that was really—I
bit off a little bit more than I could chew.
I should mention this to our listeners, though, that two of our former students, my former students, or our former students, Anna and Lee, have continued the Corner.
so for those of uh listeners out there that want to have like a daily discussion in english they are still running the corner but it was a really nice space and yeah i think if you're listening and you're interested you should definitely join because we had a really nice group and i really enjoyed it
like when i could be part of it yeah it was really fun i i uh i made really uh good friendships there um I was kind of surprised like it was um it was uh it exceeded my expectations of like what um I learned a lot about like like Chinese culture you know um it's it's interesting how we make assumptions
about like you know countries based on like political leaders or right you know like their um even like economic uh exports and things like that like like for example hollywood i think influences a lot of people um a lot of people's opinions about americans you know it exceeded my expectations of like

um and so i had i had made like some you know kind of assumptions and then come to find out like china is such a big country that there's you know not an answer you know but it's it's all it's it's just uh i think the same dynamics exist in in china as well like people from beijing were a little bit
more or shanghai were a little bit more outgoing a little more talkative and as time went by some of the um members who are from more rural areas were started to uh come out of their shells as well and and uh and share their opinions and stuff so it was it was really a dynamic interesting group of people
and we had a lot of fun in there we had some really deep discussions oddly enough yeah definitely i appreciated that too yeah yeah um yeah so uh i guess um we're we're gonna be back um we should just give some details about like um what the plans are we're thinking three episodes a week so monday wednesday
