Welcome back.
Thank you, everybody.
They love you.
I love you.
Thank you so much for coming back.
I want to get into everything.
I want to get into a pretty lethal, but... It's good to see you.
It's so great to see you.
Really, I love you.
I want you to come, like, every week.
Well, it's kind of happening like that, isn't it?
Yes, it was a couple months that we got to see you.
But, really, I love you.
We all love you here, and you're so nice to everybody.
And I'll get into the movie and all that stuff.
But we have really exciting news.
You are a Fortnite skin.
I am.
Come on.
That's just... Now that's it.
Now you've done everything.
I mean, I got to be other people, and now everybody can be me.
Yes!
When did you hear about this?
Did you get to see it for your own self?
Did you get to play?
I got to see it for my own self.
I got to put on like a funny hood mask that like filmed me doing weird things with my face, so that it would be like a very educated skin.
Ah.
Yes, it is.
Yeah.
Are you shocked at how many people play Fortnite?
And it's bigger than anything in the world.
Well, I had a son, who I still have.
Yes, of course.
I knew about, like, anyone who has a boy knows that people play Fortnite.
Yeah.
But, yeah, like, but I was amazed when I went, too, because there were so many.
We went into the room and there were all these people playing and there were so many women playing.
I actually didn't even know it was such...
A thing?
Oh, it's massive.
It was massive.
Massive.
Like, it's the biggest thing in the world right now, I would say, Fortnite.
Everyone's doing it.
And I know at the end, you get your character to dance.
Which I didn't know they could do.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah, you have to.
I mean, in real life, movie life, Beatrix Kiddo never dances.
No.
But in Fortnite, you can make her dance.
There's no rules in Fortnite.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We actually have an example.
Here's Uma Thurman's Fortnite skin dancing.
Take a look at this.
I mean, applause, right?
That's pretty fun right there.
You don't dance like that in real life at all, do you?
I hope not.
No, no, no.
You've done amazing things with your career.
You've been on our show many times.
We've talked about all the kick-ass characters you've done.
But you just shot an episode of something that I think that I would never do, and this is pretty real.
You were with Bear Grylls.
Yes.
Now talk to me, I'm running wild with Bear Grylls.
Bear Grylls, well, I have a photo here.
Is this real?
It's too much fun.
You're getting helicoptered down?
Do you guys know about Bear?
No, talk to me.
How do you get hooked up with Bear Grylls?
Well, first of all, I was a mega fan.
I'm a fan, too, of watching.
Yeah, I was a mega fan.
And I think he's incredible and he does all these incredible survival things and he knows about nature and he's a genuine person.
And he's also, like, alpha-positive male.
Yeah.
And I think we need that.
Yeah.
And I fully support it, and I love his energy.
And then he takes you on an adventure, and you do crazy things.
Are you an outdoorsy person?
I am an outdoorsy person.
I mean, not like, you know, not like him.
No, but you can handle yourself.
I mean, you know what?
Just give me something to do, and I'll do it.
Okay.
You know what I mean?
So you said he asked you to do this, and you immediately go, yes.
Well, I felt like it was just destiny, right?
Like I'm such a fan and it's kind of scary.
They keep it all a secret, so you don't know what you're gonna do.
So I was so jacked up about it, I didn't sleep at all the night before.
They don't tell you what you're doing or how long it's gonna be?
Well, I mean, I knew it'd be for more than a day.
It would be two days of adventuring.
But it's so exciting.
No, I don't know.
Come on, I think you should do it, Jimmy.
Oh, do it?
I think you should do it.
I would never in my life do this.
No, but it would be the... You would be the greatest adventure contestant.
I would cry.
I would cry my brains out.
No, you'd be surprised at how brave you are.
I cry.
This makes you cry.
I can't watch it.
I like watching him.
I think I'm a fan of his.
I love his thing.
I would be a disaster.
No, you would be great.
Right now, you're doing the scariest thing in the world, which is to be in front of people and be afraid of looking foolish.
There's nothing scarier than this.
No!
I'm feeling home here.
These are my people.
Yeah, I love this.
This is the wilderness.
You would be just as good hanging off, say, a sequoia tree.
You would be the best television ever.
I'd be spooning with Bear.
Well, he's very cute.
He's very cute.
Do cell phones work and all this stuff where you are?
You really got to let it all go.
Are you happy that you did it?
I'm thrilled that I did it.
I had an amazing time.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
I mean, I want to do it again.
Really?
Yeah, I felt like they could have pushed me harder, you know?
But it was thrilling.
I can't wait to watch this.
Push you harder?
I mean, come on.
Because you're one of the toughest people out there.
I'm not tough.
I just have fun.
Yeah.
But you're good.
But you're good at, like, the, like... You've got to stay game, you know?
Yes, I am.
Like, come on.
That's the attitude.
Like, try new things.
Say yes.
Come on.
Try new things.
Let's do it.
I agree with you.
I love that.
I was talking about pretty lethal, by the way.
This is nonstop action.
Crazy from the first scene to the end.
How do we set up this movie?
Okay, we can tell you that it is a ballet bloodbath.
Yes.
So I read this thing, I'm like, what is this thing?
I meet this director, Vicky Juice, and she's a brilliant action director and I was like this is gonna be special.
And she cracked it open, and it's kind of like pop action girl art.
Yeah, but involving ballet.
It's ballet.
It's ballerinas whose lives are threatened, and they have to defend themselves wearing tutus.
Don't mess with ballerinas.
You know what?
Don't mess with the ballerinas because they know how to suffer.
They really do.
They put in their time.
They really do.
So much work.
It's insanity.
Nobody can take pain like a ballerina.
They're the toughest soldiers out there.
Yeah.
Did you ever think of doing ballet growing up?
Oh, I was sent to many dance classes.
But you know, I grew and I grew and my feet were like this big and my knees were like this big and they were just like.
Get her out of here.
She cannot dance.
She will never dance.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
But then you went on to do one of the most famous dance scenes in the history of film.
That goes to show everybody, you know, not to listen to your detractors, not to be defeated.
Yes, that's right.
Chin up, carry on, and you will dance with John Travolta.
Yes, that's right.
See?
Never give up.
You can do whatever you want to do.
You got to film on location, by the way.
Yeah, we were in Budapest.
Have you ever been to Budapest?
I had never been before, and it's a beautiful medieval city.
Just a gorgeous place.
Did you get to do any sightseeing or anything?
I did some sightseeing.
I worked really hard.
I did some sightseeing.
They have amazing natural baths there.
And I'm sort of like, I love, maybe I have some ancient Roman in me or something.
I love a bathhouse.
You do?
Yeah.
So you just went for it.
I went for it.
On my only little times off, I went from bathhouse to bathhouse.
It was fabulous.
Well, I'm happy that- It's great.
You put a cap on and you're just like another body in the bathhouse.
No one knows.
They don't know it's Uma Thurman?
Nobody knows.
They only recognize the 18-year-old.
And I'm not her.
Oh, come on.
No, no, no.
I think wherever you walk in, everyone's like, oh, my God, it's Uma Thurman.
I wouldn't notice, luckily.
No, you wouldn't.
I want to show everyone a clip.
I want to show everyone a clip.
Here's Uma Thurman in Pretty Lethal.
Take a look at this.
Calm down.
Everything will be all right.
He shot her.
He shot her in the face.
Call the police.
Yeah, go on.
Try it.
Call the police.
Both.
Both.
Both!
Please, please, police.
Please, please.
Ladies.
Ladies, I will call the police.
Ossie, show them the safe room.
That's how you do it right there.
Well, I'll tell you that those girls, they did their dancing, they did their fighting and I felt really strongly their passion, their hard work, that their work would mean something to women and girls.
Yeah, it will.
That's a great cast.
And so I brought you a present.
Wait.
Yes.
You are my present.
Because you're a dad to girls.
So I had the girls sign a pair of unused ballet shoes.
Oh my God.
And do you know that a dancer in a show will break the toe box in one performance?
Did not know that.
That's how hard they work.
Come on.
These are for your girls.
This is the best.
I appreciate it.
And the whole cast signed them.
Signed by everyone?
Yeah.
This is the nicest.
Thank you so much.
You're a girl, Dad.
I love you, bud.
You gotta bring something home.
They will love this.
Uma Thurman, everyone.
Pretty Lethal begins streaming March 25th on Prime Video.
