But for now, let's get on with the show.
Woo!
Just one last touch up and voila, it's perfect.
Okay, Mindy, I brought the snacks you asked for.
Wait a minute, are you building, is that a statue of me?
Exact Doritos, Guy Razzi.
This is a statue of you made entirely of earwax.
And not just any old earwax, fresh out of my own ears.
I've been saving it up for something special and I finally found the perfect debut our little game show.
Wow, it's so lifelike.
And in the spirit of earwax, you're just in time to try my new Q-tip kebabs.
I used zucchini, onions, tomatoes, and of course your favorite, kale.
Uh, Mindy, I don't know about... Come on, try one.
They're ear dirt.
My latest invention?
You know, maybe we should save the snacks for later and just start the game show.
Are you ready?
Uh, yeah.
Will you pass me my eardrum over there?
Uh... Yeah, that's the one.
And now for everyone's second favorite game show after fishing for compliments.
It's Two What's and a Why.
Yesterday on Two What's in a Wow, we told you three scientific facts about Antarctica.
But only one of the three was an actual scientific wow.
The rest were made up scientific what?
In other words, it was up to you to separate the fact from all the fiction.
Let's review our scientific choices from yesterday.
Was it A, the average thickness of an Antarctic ice sheet is about a mile?
Or was it B?
For a few weeks in April, on Antarctica's coast, the sun shines 24 hours a day.
Or was it C?
Antarctica is actually a desert.
Wowzers, which one did you pick?
I can't hear you.
All right, The Wowzers have locked in their answers and now, with the big scientific reveal, we have Liesl.
Liesl, we'd like you to share your wow in the world and reveal the answer.
Hi, Mindy and Guyowaz.
My name is Liesl, and my wow in the world is that Antarctica is actually a desert.
Bye!
Say hi to Reggie, Grandma Geforce, and Dennis for me.
Congratulations, Liesl.
You're correct.
C was the scientific wow.
But if you picked A or B, you were really close.
The average thickness of an Antarctic ice sheet is not just half of a mile.
It's actually about 1.3 miles or 2.6 kilometers.
And Antarctica does experience 24 hours of daylight for a bit, but it typically happens around their summer solstice, which is near Christmas time.
Now it's time for prizes.
All of you Wowzers will be taking home... an invisible shaved ice and arctic desert dessert!
This icy treat consists of shaved ice topped with frozen polar, gummy bears, cherry icicles and real life snowflakes.
If this dessert doesn't give you brain freeze, then I hate to break it to you, it might already be frozen. in a while we'll be right back grown-ups this message is for you hey grown-ups it's mindy and guy ross here from wow in the world mindy and i have some brand new wow in the world toys out in the world just in time for the holidays made for the kids who love science and for the ones who don't yet from our 100 experiments that wow kit to the telescope and astronomy kit Our Wow in the World toys help your wowzer learn about their world through play.

Welcome, Wowzers!
Well, you know what that means.
It's time to play another round of... Listen up, everyone.
Today's category is all about ears.
We're going to tell you three scientific facts about ears, and it's up to you to guess which one is the real scientific wow.
Are you ready, contestants?
Here we...
Goal!
Is it A, snakes have ears on their tongues?
Or is it B, grasshoppers have ears on their bellies?
Or is it C, humans have better hearing than pigeons?
Now is your time to guess which one's the real wow.
Grab your pencils and paper and write down what you think.
And don't be afraid to phone a friend or ask your family if they know the answer.
One more time, Guy Raz.
Do you think the answer is A, snakes have ears on their tongues?
Or B, grasshoppers have ears on their bellies?
Or C, humans can hear better than the average pigeon?
And time's up.
Tune in tomorrow to see if you guessed right on our next episode of Two Once in a While.
Before we go, we want to give all of our contestants a little scientific challenge for the day.
Today's challenge is to hold a whisper conversation with someone else in separate rooms without using anything.
Any electronic devices.
We're talking no phones, no microphones, and no walk, walk, walk, walk, walkie-talkies.
You can use two cups with a string attached.
Or make a megaphone out of a poster board.
And once you've found the most creative way to have a whisper conversation from afar, tell your grown-ups to share a picture with us at tinkercastcom.
Slash share.
So take a look at what's around you and start playing by ear, and we'll be back here tomorrow.
Our show is produced by me, Mindy Thomas, and Jacob Stein.

And our episode was written by Anna Zagorski.
