Hey, JJ.
Want to hear a story?
Yes, I do.
Can I please help tell it, too?
Yes, listen close.
Let's imagine and rhyme.
It's Coco Melon Storytime!
Hey there, JJ.
What are you looking at out the window?
It's almost time for bed.
The stars, Daddy.
Oh, they are so pretty and sparkly, aren't they?
Yes.
Can you see them all twinkling?
Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
Daddy, what does twinkle mean?
Great question.
If you look closely, each and every star blinks and sparkles.
And that means it's twinkling.
Hey, why don't I tell you a bedtime story about a star who lived up there in the sky?
Yes, please.
It's called...
Twinkle together.
There once was a little star named Eve.
She lived all alone in her corner of the sky, way up high Yep, all alone.
And because she'd never met any other stars, Eve didn't even know that she was a star herself.
What did she think she was?
Well, Sometimes she wondered if she was a diamond or a ball of fire.
She liked to sing a song to herself.
Way up high in the sky, how I wonder what am I?
I want to sing too!
Way up high in the sky, how I wonder what am I?
One thing Eve knew for sure though, she liked being alone.
Sometimes a planet would spin by.
Cool!
Or a rocket ship would vroom past.
Vroom!
Vroom!
Rocket ship!
But other than that, Eve was all by herself as far as she could see.
And the only sound around was Eve's own voice singing.
And you know what, JJ?
What?
Eve liked it that way.
She liked her little spot in the sky where she could sing her little song.
Way up high in the sky.
How, I wonder.
What am I?
But one day Eve saw a bright light zooming towards her.
No way!
What was it?
Eve wanted to know too.
She sang.
Way up high in the sky, how I wonder what's nearby. the bright light zoomed closer.
Whoosh!
And closer.
Whoosh!
Until it was right next to Eve.
It wasn't a diamond or a ball of fire.
Do you know what it was, JJ?
A star!
Yes!
This new star said, I saw you in this stretch of sky and thought I'd fly by to say hi.
But Eve just blinked.
She was feeling shy.
Suddenly, the new star twirled around and made the most incredible sound.
Pretty!
Eve had never heard anything like it.
She decided to be brave and said, My name's Eve.
Who are you?
And what's that twirling thing you do?
And since Eve was friendly, the other star was friendly right back.
She said, My name's Azra.
I'm a star like you.
Don't you know that's what you are too?
Eve couldn't believe it.
After all that wondering about what she was, Eve finally learned she was a star.
And that twirling thing I did before, it's called twinkling.
I'll do it some more.
Azra spun around, shining her light in every direction.
Come on, you should try it too.
Twinkling is what all stars do.
Eve had never tried anything like this.
But she decided to be brave and give it a little twirl, just like her new friend, Azra.
And she twinkled too.
Eve was so proud of herself.
Azra cheered her on.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star, now you know just who you are.
Eve and Azra twirled together, giggling and comparing their unique twinkles.
Eve's twinkles sounded different from Azra's, but it was beautiful in its own way.
And their twinkles sounded so nice together.
Eve used to like being alone in her spot in the sky, but now...
She was happy she made a new friend.
Their twinkling was the perfect thing for Eve to sing to.
Twinkle, twinkle.
That's what we do.
I'm so glad that I met you Up above the world, so high Like two diamonds in the sky Twinkle, twinkle little stars, And off they flew past Jupiter and Mars.
The End We heard a story!
Yes, it's true!
And I helped tell it, too!
We listened, imagined, and made some rhymes for Cocomelon Storytime!
