I know how it feels to be too anxious to start, to be too shameful to start, to feel like you're too stagnant to begin, or that you're too far away.
You're never too far away.
It's never too late and you can do it.
Be aware of where you're placing your focus and be willing to redirect it over and over again.
There are some ideas that I need to come back to?
Things that I need to ground myself in again if I want to keep moving forward?
How can you set yourself and your everyday life up for the success that you're searching for in the future?
What is that dream version of you practicing, doing, accomplishing?
We can get there by taking a little bit of it into practice every single day.
You deserve to see who's on the other end.
Those little actions that we can take now make up the dream that we have for our future.
Today, i wanted to tell you that the future starts now.
What do i mean by this?
That sounds a little dramatic, but maybe it is a little dramatic.
Maybe i am somebody who thinks about the future too much, but i have a lot of goals.
I have a lot of goals, i have places, i want to be and i don't like feeling stuck, and i think the common denominator that i've gotten from all of us here on this channel and with these videos is We want to progress.
We want to change.
We want to understand things.
I don't think we get anywhere by ignoring what's in front of us and just looking towards the future all the time.
No, this video.
I wanted to talk about how we can make our dreams come true by bridging them into the present moment.
And how do we do that?
How can we become that dream self with that dream life?
Something that may feel so far away and outlandish.
What is the key to bringing that into the now and becoming that now?
Because I always say this, but I noticed that we like to push our dreams into this idea of the future.
And I don't want to leave my dreams in some idea of the future that leaves them always separate from me.
When we say oh, I'm going to do it later.
Or yeah, you know, once I have the money to fund that dream, then I'll do that.
Or like, yeah, you know what, one day.
That separates us from what we want.
We are literally creating a separation in our reality through the language we use of one day, someday.
I hope that that will come true.
It's great to have aspirations and goals and hopes for the future, but are they just going to stay there?
Are they going to stay there, or can we actually bring it into our reality now and be the thing we're saying we're all about?
Like, how do we do that?
What have we experienced before that has made us feel good?
What are our passions, our hobbies?
What is that thing that brings you fulfillment that you tell yourself I could never do a job where I feel that fulfilled.
What is that thing that you don't think is possible, that you wish could be the thing that you desire?
The fantasy that you come back to, the thing that you could only imagine in your wildest dreams doing, or maybe the thing that you have done before that you want to do even better, that you wanna do again, or that you wanna be known for?
I think it's important to identify what these things are, what lights us on fire, the magic that we are sort of working towards or want to pull into our reality.
Identify it, name it.
Imagine it.
Know that maybe you've already experienced it or it can happen.
You really got to understand if you can imagine something, it can be real.
Because, if you think about it, we can have all these goals and aspirations and everything, but what are we doing with the present moment?
Because technically, the present moment is all that we have and all that we are ever going to have.
So I've been thinking a lot about how I can change my life right now, like in this moment, and how it actually begins right now once we identify these things, these daydreams, these desires, these things that we wish to work towards or that we wish to make our reality.
Once we identify that and kind of know what that is and maybe build upon that picture, it's up to us to not leave it in the idea of the future.
It's up to us to bring that daydream, that fantasy into our everyday reality.
I've been reflecting a lot on my artistry these days and how I love to help others with processing their feelings or building a community where we can kind of share this vulnerability.
But at the same time, with my favorite like self-help type of creators.
I watched them until I didn't need them anymore, because they gave me the tools and the resources to become more confident or to make my dreams come true.
Therefore that doesn't mean I still don't check on them and like their stuff, but I'm not really as religious of a watcher because I don't need to learn anything else that they're saying.
Like i got the message, i got it.
And so sometimes i think about us and our community here.
I want to evolve as a creator and i want to show you guys more, because i think you can only say sort of the same philosophy or idea in so many ways, so many times.
And I think about how I wish to evolve and change as an artist, as a YouTuber podcaster whatever, like I want to continue to grow and continue to change because I think that's important because, like I said, when I get that motivation from my favorite creators, or I get resources or ideas, or you know ways to move about my life and continue to succeed, sometimes I don't really return to those practices and I think okay, like I got the message and like I'm done now.
Whenever I first started all of this, I was in a place in my life where I was very confident, And it's interesting because, you know, confidence is uncomfortable.
It's not just something that stays forever.
You have to kind of keep it.
It's a muscle that you have to upkeep and that you have to learn how to work with.
And I think that at the time, because I was feeling confident and on top of the world when I made that video, I thought to myself yeah, you know what?
Like I got it.
I understand it and I can move forward now.
I don't have to return to these ideas, like i did the practices and i'm i'm now ready to move forward.
That was sort of the idea i had with like it's like literally like building muscle right, like i had gone to the gym for years and was really into like strengthening my legs and my glutes and everything, and then i got to a certain point where i was like okay, I did it, I'm done, now done building these.
That's okay for a second.
But then you watch your muscles start to kind of deflate and change and you realize oh, there's some upkeep needed.
And with my confidence and my creativity and my ability to continue to move forward.
I thought that I had that all figured out.
But I didn't.
And I don't.
And I realize oh, this is something that we must continue to learn, that we must continue to go through that.
We must continue to come back to
And there are some ideas that I need to come back to, things that I need to ground myself in again if I want to keep moving forward.
I wanted to make this video kind of as a reminder for you as well, because i know that we've all kind of gone through this and we've heard these ideas again and again, but i'm here to remind you in a different way, in a new way, in a phase of life, that i need to hear it and i know that you do too because it's frustrating to stay in the same place.
It's frustrating to feel stagnant or like you're just watching your dreams sort of fly above you in that futuristic idea of one day, one day it's.
I hate that.
I hate watching my potential just like shrivel, because I'm self sabotaging or I'm keeping myself stuck out of fear, or like confusion or insecurity or just not keeping up with these practices or these ideals that I'm trying to remind myself of now.
Whenever I am thinking about my dream life, the things that I have yet to accomplish or that I wish to accomplish, things that I feel far away from or like I'm stuck.
Sometimes a lot of shame can get built up.
Whenever we're not doing the thing we're saying we want to do, or we're not getting better at this thing that we want to like, we're not putting enough effort in that, the shame can really be crazy.
And then the shame it holds you back even more from moving towards that dream or that goal or bringing it into your reality.
Whenever you feel shameful.
You don't feel like you're worthy of those dreams or something outlandish or grand, because you feel like I'm not even putting the work in, so why would I be worthy of that?
We get what we believe we're worthy of.
And i know that maybe some would argue with me.
Life, of course, happens by chance.
Our relationships and the way that we go about our life, our efforts with ourselves.
It reflects what we believe we're worth.
If we believe that we're worth the highest treatment in the world and we're worth a million bucks and all these things, that's going to kind of influence how we take care of ourselves from the day to day, what we spend our time doing, where we put our focus and our efforts.
If, If we kind of continue in this cycle of shame like oh, I didn't do that right or I don't even have the energy to do that, so why would I be worth this thing?
Or you know, talking down on ourselves and feeling that shame over and over again that keeps us stuck in this cycle.
I have found that the best way to break through the shame is realizing that i can't do it all on my own.
I don't have enough willpower in me to do the things that i'm saying i want to do.
If you are reaching out for help or you're, you know, trying to form a certain practice, or like all of this takes our willpower and our strength.
You, watching this video and listening to what i'm saying takes a lot of willpower.
So, like we are using our willpower every single day, But I found that relying solely on my own willpower will never grant me consistency and probably won't get me to where I want to go.
The only thing that I can really rely on is a certain structure.
And sometimes structure is very hard to provide ourselves sometimes.
So that's why I think keeping it simple can reduce that shame and up our confidence.
Keeping it simple can reduce that shame while growing our confidence at the same time.
And what do I mean by that?
Keeping it simple.
It means we have to get a little logical here, right?
We got to kind of take our feelings out of it for a second.
Identify what it is that you're saying you want so badly, because I'm telling you, any goal of yours can be broken down into steps right i kind of i love breaking it down and thinking about like okay what is the next step it can feel so overwhelming when we like i want to be a famous actress one day or i want to be a best-selling author right like these things are beautiful and fun to think about but then it gets actually very scary and daunting and overwhelming whenever you look at it and then you look at where you're sitting and you're like oh wait a second i How are we going to get from point A to point B?
I can't even get myself out of bed.
That's when the shame hits, right?
So what I'm trying to say is like keep that beautiful dream at the forefront of your mind, but realize that there are steps to get there.
Nobody just flies from point A to point B.
There are emotional and physical things that have to take place in order to get you there.
And those things don't have to take forever.
They could honestly happen really fast and miraculously with the right mindset, with the right action.
But let's keep in mind that there are steps and there are practices that can bring you closer to that goal and can grow your confidence while you're moving towards that goal.
I can't necessarily tell you what those things are for you.
I'll tell you what they are for me.
If your goal is to be like jacked or something, right?
Like maybe your goal is physical.
What are the little everyday steps that you're gonna have to take?
Whether that is your food, your exercise, your lifting schedule, like whatever.
Like you know that there are steps to get there.
If it's being the first millionaire in your family, it starts with an idea.
It starts with a product.
It starts with fulfilling a need that hasn't been fulfilled yet, and learning how you can get to that point.
You kind of got to work backwards a little bit.
What are the steps that will take me there?
But here's the thing is we're never going to take all those steps that must be taken in order to get there if we don't believe that we're worthy.
And we don't believe it's possible.
And this is where i come in is because, like i said, i can't tell you every single step that you need to take in order to get to your dreams, but i can tell you how to form enough confidence in order to take the first step and hopefully, take the steps consistently so that you feel like you're making progress.
I think that it all begins with feeling worthy and feeling confident.
And for me, that has come through physical action.
If I can create little routines for myself to do the work for me, then I don't have to put that pressure on myself to be strong enough and to have the willpower to make all my dreams come true.
All I need to do is just have enough willpower to get myself to do this tiny action that I set up for myself.
How can you set yourself and your everyday life up for the success that you're searching for in the future?
What can you be doing every single day so that it's not some huge jump and leap that you have to take?
No, it's something that can be worked on in your everyday life, through your movement, through your breathing, through your activities, through your focus.
How can you bring that here and now? everyone's answer is different.
For me, if I want to be a best-selling author, I need to be writing every day, and sometimes my writing is shit and sometimes it's something that maybe I want to edit and work on and share.
I've been in places where I won't even open my journal because I feel shameful or I feel stuck or I want to hide, and I don't believe that I'm worth that big dream, so why even try?
But instead of forcing myself to just keep going and keep believing in that dream, I can kind of pull from it and create an action for myself in my everyday reality that will get me there.
I know for a fact, this is me, this is how I work, if I am writing every day, I will get there.
I know that.
I know it.
But I don't do it every day because I get intimidated and shameful and afraid.
And that creates a lack of motivation and a lack of desire to even move towards it because it seems too scary.
But I can make it not scary and not disappointing and intimidating by bringing small things into my reality that will help me get there if I want to be this successful, creative.
My best ideas come to me when I go on a walk.
So that means that, instead of forcing myself to come up with all these ideas, how can I make it work for me?
I'm gonna go on that walk every day.
I'll write those three pages in the morning, right?
It's not really that much work, but every single day that you do it it adds up to something monumental.
Look at that big scary, huge dream you have, that delusion, that fantasy and pick something from it that you can place into your everyday reality.
Does that make sense?
Like what's that version of you?
What does she, he, they do?
Like what do they do every day?
How do they see themselves?
How must they see the world in order to be doing what it is that you want to be doing?
Are they peaceful?
How did they find that?
Like, what is going on with them?
What is that dream version of you?
Practicing doing, accomplishing.
We can get there.
We can get there by taking a little bit of it into practice every single day, And I know it's not easy.
But, to be honest with you, it's a lot easier than being daunted by what we're saying.
We want.
It's a lot easier to get really good at getting consistent with tiny things, because I'm telling you man, we've already talked about it before, but that will do wonders to your confidence if you can show up and do a tiny thing that you say you're going to do every single day.
So taking the weight off of my shoulders and putting that weight into tiny little actions is what's been saving my life.
Instead of shaming myself.
You can be that dream person you're saying you want to be through your tiny actions every single day.
In fact, that's how you're going to get there.
You're not going to get there by one huge swing and dramatic movement.
Right, it's all these tiny little bits of consistency that build up to something that you know we don't even have the comprehension to see yet.
But it is worth it, and i know that sometimes it might not feel that way, or maybe we're not getting instant gratification when we are committing to tiny practices that make us feel good or help with our goals, but It is worth it.
Set that goal for yourself.
You deserve to see who's on the other end of these little practices that can change your life.
There can be new insecurities introduced in our life, new challenges, new setbacks, new dreams and desires that we must learn how to become familiar with, acquainted with and overcome, and this is going to be happening all the time.
So i think that the more we have that consistency, the more we can move through life and we can move through these things and we can get closer to what we're saying we want.
Take all that shame and guilt and doubt you have about accomplishing your dreams and place it into okay.
You know what i can do, this tiny thing for myself today, And something.
One of those things that I wanted to talk about was affirmations okay.
Now don't, don't, hey, don't let me lose you here, okay?
Because this is important.
I don't know exactly what it is that makes you feel confident and strong about yourself and working towards your dreams.
Maybe it's practicing your craft for 10 minutes a day, 20 minutes a day.
Maybe it's signing yourself up for a new class.
Maybe it's going on that morning walk every day.
Maybe it's doing that five-minute meditation before bed.
I don't know what it is.
You know what those small actions are.
Maybe you have an inkling as to what you think could help you and what you want to try doing.
Something that I will offer.
That has completely changed my life multiple times in different seasons, and this one currently is affirmations okay.
I know that everyone says, okay, let's do affirmations, let's meditate, all these things.
You will be shocked at what happens.
If you say to yourself what you want to hear, what you wish to be true, that maybe is very opposite from your current reality.
Whatever you're trying to bring in and bridge into the present moment, telling yourself every day it I don't know what you want to call it magic confidence self-care, what I don't know, but it works.
I am telling you.
And you feel like it doesn't at first.
You feel crazy.
You feel like, what am I talking to myself in the mirror for?
I don't even believe these things.
It doesn't feel like it's working at first, but I swear to you, it does.
But only with that consistency, right?
We all like to give up right away when we don't get that like initial, instant gratification, but that's where we lose the dream.
We can bridge it into our reality by staying consistent, by keeping our eye on that prize and knowing that we can translate that dream into little actions that will bring us there, that will bring it into our reality.
Don't think about chasing something, chasing something.
Think about Bringing it here.
What can you say to yourself?
What can you believe right now?
Even if it feels crazy, right?
Because if you feel separate from that reality, from that dream, you will stay separate.
So yeah, it's a little uncomfortable and weird and you feel crazy when you're bringing that dream into your everyday reality.
It is what will get you there is a little bit besides the point, but i feel like this year some of my wildest dreams have come true and also some of my biggest nightmares have come true alongside them.
Um, so i i say that because i still have a lot to do and i still have a lot to work on, and i think that i And it's hard to say because I don't know, but I think there are certain things that happened to me that I think I sort of rejected from my reality and my experience because I didn't believe that I was worth that.
What makes us think we're going to accomplish that big thing if we don't believe we're worth it right?
We can put in as much action all day, every day, but when it does fall into our lap, into our experience, are we really gonna feel that?
Are we really gonna enjoy it if we don't believe we're worthy of that in the first place?
So that's why i'm saying that the importance of these affirmations of telling ourselves i am worthy of x, y and z.
I have x, y and z right, like you never will, unless you say to yourself that you can have it and that you are somebody who is capable of having it.
Now you're shocking the system, you're changing things up and you are bringing that dream to you.
When you call it in, when you announce it to yourself, you make it a reality, not other people.
I know that it feels like other people do and you need their approval, their validation, but you don't.
You are the one who opens that door.
You are the one who makes it possible, who makes it possible to even go through with that opportunity to meet that person, to find that resource.
If you don't open that possibility and stay true and strong in it, those other things don't follow.
So how can you bring that dream here now?
It starts with you opening up that confidence and belief that we could actually have that thing.
It starts with your action today.
I know how it feels to be too anxious to start, to be too shameful to start, to feel like you're too stagnant to begin, or that you're too far away.
You're never too far away.
It's never too late and you can't can do it.
And whenever you do feel like you're being consumed with that shame or that stagnancy and that no momentum has been created towards what you want, just do something.
Any action will get you out of that.
Because I've noticed that anxiety and shame harbors through staying still, letting those voices of doubt sort of hold you down, instead of taking them along with you and saying hey, you can be here, but watch what I'm going to do.
Watch every single day this tiny action that I'm going to take.
And I promise you yes, doubt comes back in many different forms, but it will dissipate the more that you hold yourself to one tiny little action, one tiny little practice.
It will do wonders for you.
Pick one thing to stay consistent with.
Maybe it has to do with your dreams, maybe it has to do with your health, maybe it has to do with your confidence in general.
Those little actions that we can take now make up the dream that we have for our future.
Our mindset right now dictates how we're going to move towards the future.
You don't have power over the world, over all the external circumstances all the time.
You have power over your mindset and your intentions, with how you want to move about the world, how you want to exist and what you want to create.
That is yours.
Don't let the external circumstances rob you of what is yours.
And something else that I want to say is consistency comes through yes, that little bit of willpower to do that thing every single day, but also it comes through making it work for you.
You're not going to do something that you dread doing, right?
Maybe you will, and maybe it becomes less dreadful over time, but that's not really what motivates us to do something.
That little step that you know will get you closer and closer.
Make it easy for you, make it work for you and your lifestyle.
Okay, like if we want to see change.
Change comes through consistency, and the only way you're gonna do that thing that you want to be consistent in is if you make it fun, if you make it work for you.
For example, I
I really don't like making extra time to do things.
If I can work it into what I'm already doing or what I already feel inclined to do.
That's when I notice a habit start to form.
So, for example, every night I always have like relaxing bathroom time, whether that's a shower or a bath.
Like I light candles and I make it a little nice like 15 minute winding down thing for me.
So I realized like recently I've been feeling a lot of scarcity around money and like taking care of myself and just like funding the lifestyle that I know I want to live, when it comes to traveling and this and that.
Like there's a lot of things I want to do and there's money to be made, and i know that i'm only going to make that money if my head is in the right place, because if my head is in the right place, i'm going to take the action necessary.
Or i'm going to be more inclined to take the action necessary whenever you switch your mindset.
If i think like, oh my gosh, like i'm losing money, i'm not gonna make any money and it's just all doomed.
That's what i'm gonna be acting out of where.
If i say to myself, even if it feels delusional, money is easy for me to make money like, even if i don't believe that i am making that possible.
Therefore, my brain starts working a little differently.
I start thinking, oh yeah okay, if it is easy, you know what?
What if i do this?
What if?
Oh my gosh, i just got hit with this idea that would never have come before because i didn't even have the room for that idea to come in.
But now that i'm opening my mind to possibilities that maybe seem a little delusional, ideas are coming in to fuel that reality.
Opportunities are happening now that weren't happening before, because I opened my mind and I could start to see things that were possible, things that I couldn't see before.
So I listen to those money financial affirmations whenever I am having my relaxing shower time.
I just stacked it on top of there.
Something that you usually would do for yourself stack something on top, because then they go together.
If you do take a shower every night, maybe you can throw those affirmations on every night when you take the shower.
See, you're just stacking it on top.
Maybe you have that long commute home from work every day.
Maybe you're listening to some affirmations that I know.
I know they feel silly at first, but just let them sink in, let them become part of your mindset and your reality and watch what happens.
And come back here and tell me what happens, because I'm curious.
But seriously like, if these things feel ridiculous and you don't want to make time for them, then don't.
Just stack it on top of something you already do.
With affirmations.
It's a lot more powerful to say that you already have done something, because it puts you in that headspace and that feeling of already having done it.
So instead of saying, I am going to ace this test.
I mean, of course, like that's great positive thinking.
But what about I am? did ace my test.
I am intelligent.
I am at the top of my class.
Saying that to yourself in the mirror every single day, you're going to be acting differently.
Therefore, your results are going to be different.
Please don't get impatient.
This doesn't happen overnight.
If it did, we would all be living our dreams.
It takes consistency.
Like we said, building a muscle.
Do you have the patience and Do you believe that you're worth that consistency?
Maybe you don't, so maybe you have to try it out blindly.
But I promise you, the more you do it, the more you will see how worthy you are of that little bit of effort, of that little bit of action, and you will see how it builds up, and that will encourage you and motivate you to continue to move forward.
Something that has helped me a lot is staying aware of my focus and of my mindset, not obsessing about it.
You know, sometimes we have to feel what we need to feel and get through whatever emotions or doubts or mindset are sitting with us.
I always believe that it's important to honor how we're feeling, not suppress it or push it away.
But staying aware is very important. be aware of where you're putting your focus on.
Are you constantly paying attention to those doubts, entertaining those doubts, entertaining those insecurities, letting that dictate your life?
If you are.
How can you be aware of that, take that awareness and shift your focus?
Redirecting our focus when we know it's straying is very important to the journey, because we're not going to feel confident motivated, excited to bring our dream into our reality every day.
No, if anything, it's kind of like exhausting.
We're reprogramming how we think, how we believe in ourselves that things are possible.
So I think it's really about staying aware.
Stay aware when your focus starts to shift back on the fears, on the insecurities.
Redirecting that focus is what will get us there.
Don't expect everything to be so easy and perfect right when you begin.
You're going to have to redirect your focus.
You're going to have to be aware of how you're feeling if you want to change it.
Be aware of where you're placing your focus and be willing to redirect it over and over again.
The poem that I'm always reciting and sharing with you guys, it's on my spoken word poetry album.
It's the second poem and it's about acknowledging fear and looking at it for what it is and going about what we want to do anyways.
And I say in that poem even if I have to bring myself back to the ground a thousand times, i'm looking my future in the eye.
And what i mean by that is, even if i get distracted or i fail or i let my insecurities win or i feel like i can't do this, even if i have to humble myself and go through the same lessons over and over and over again, as long As I'm placing that focus on what I want and my future, it will never be in vain.
So don't beat yourself up for maybe not being consistent one day, or for not feeling good or not feeling confident.
That is bound to happen.
It's just about being aware of that and making the conscious choice to redirect your focus on something that enforces what you want.
Maybe something you don't totally believe.
Maybe you're so comfortable with your insecurities and your doubts and you'd rather just be entertained by that, but making the conscious effort to shift and redirect your focus to what you know is going to serve that dream, that goal that you have, is the only way to break that pattern.
Whatever keeps you in that place, whatever you're entertaining in your life that you know is triggering that sense of doubt or insecurity.
I'm not saying you have to cut it out, because I know that's not always easy, but how can you implement boundaries with it?
Having those boundaries is so important if we're trying to sustain a state of momentum and action and consistency towards the things that we want.
We must have boundaries with the things that have held us back or have made us insecure.
And it's up to us to have the discernment to do that.
So this is where I'm handing it off to you.
You have to be able to make that conscious effort.
And I believe in you.
You also have to maintain boundaries with the things that trigger you.
And I think that's where we all kind of fail as a okay, I don't want to say fail, but I think that's where we all struggle as a generation.
Wow, I wish you could smell these peonies.
They smell really good.
And they're just about to like get big and beautiful.
And oh my gosh, we're not really inclined to have boundaries with, maybe like our self-perception on social media or judging others and comparing ourselves to others and looking at what's good, what's bad, this that all the time like we don't have boundaries and we really need the man and nobody's gonna do it for us, which is the part that's like it's hard.
It is hard.
I know.
I know it's hard, but we have to do it because no one else is going to do it, man.
And then we're going to be sitting in the same place that we were before.
It just makes you resentful when you feel stuck and like nothing's happening and nothing's changing.
You start hating the world around you and all these external circumstances.
You throw your power away because it's too hard.
I'm telling you, It is in your control and it is in your power and it's up to us to figure out what kind of puts us back in that state of insecurity and feeling stagnant or scared.
Like what are those things and how can we limit our interaction with them?
Or how can we redirect our focus?
Thank you.
