I can't believe I'm flying out to go on a date.
It's just cute.
I think it's very cute how we met.
We just got to the restaurant.
This is cute.
Woo!
Hi guys, welcome back to my channel.
My name is Daisy if you're new and if you're not, welcome back.
In today's video, I'm going to be telling you guys how I went to Japan with zero thoughts in my brain and came out with a boyfriend.
In this video I fly to New York and do a little, get ready with me and show you guys little clips of how our Valentine's date went.
So I hope you guys enjoy watching this video and let's get right into it.
My flight is boarding in like 45 minutes.
I'm gonna do a bit of makeup because i look everything's pink tonight.
Owen's roommate's girlfriend is currently in italy studying abroad, so i just did like a quick target pickup for her and i'm gonna give this to bucket gummy vitamin.
I also visited estatherapy and i found their clinic through some mutual friends who have also been there.
They're conveniently located right in ktown so it was pretty close to where i was.
On this day i got this airjet procedure done that helps to sharpen my jawline, and he told me that a lot of models get this procedure done when it's new york fashion week because the results are immediate, but he told me that after a week that'll be like peak.
Oh, it's pretty good job.
The points that they put it on was for my neck and back and i really feel like it helped a lot and helped me to deep puff as well.
In my previous view, i literally just got my nails done, but this one this one already popped off.
This one broke off.
I still have the nails and i just bought some nail glue, so i'm just gonna stick them back on.
Before i go out, i'm just going to wash my skin.
I've literally been obsessed with these flat makeup brushes.
I feel like it totally changes my makeup game.
But I feel like I haven't done a get ready with me in so freaking long.
A lot of you guys had questions about like how I met Owen.
So I kind of want to spill the tea on my Japan exchange life.
That's literally where everything went down.
I feel like the way we met is like the most ideal love story ever because, as you guys know, if you guys kept up with my study abroad journey, you guys know I did apply to all three.
I applied to China, some schools in Shanghai, Yonsei in Korea and Waseda, like three other schools in Japan.
And I was pretty set on going to either Korea or China, because I had already been to Japan before and I thought I already knew what life there was already like.
I feel like my living experience and visiting experiences were so freaking different.
Spoiler alert living there is so much better than just visiting, because Japan is really good at the slow-paced life.
Everything just feels very zen and calm down and obviously this is not the reality for most people that work there full-time and I understand that because I know the work culture there is like crazy.
But I was just like a study abroad student and all I was doing was hanging out with my friends every day.
School felt so easy because everything was a pass or a fail.
But why I went to Japan was because I went to like this one event where, like all the students that were hoping to go on exchange would meet up and meet up with like the coordinators and stuff, and he was talking about japan a lot because their coordinator also studied in japan and he was telling us about how amazing it was.
But there were not enough students that were applying to go.
So my school was offering a thousand dollars for students to even apply.
So i was like why not?
I don't know why all the puffs in my compact are all everywhere.
So I set Japan as my number one priority.
But honestly I didn't expect to get in because I think after that news broke out, a lot of people started applying to Japan, So I still expected myself to get into Korea or Shanghai.
Oh, I also applied to the UK because I just love London.
I'm using this blush from Kylie Cosmetics.
I just know you guys already know this one.
It's Snow Bunny, I think.
You can't even... There's no label on it because I've had it for so long.
Such a pretty baby pink color.
But anyways, long story short, I got into Japan somehow.
A lot of you guys had questions about the finances of studying abroad and my school is so weird because they gave me a lot of financial support for these exchange programs because not a lot of kids are going like.
That support went a long way in terms of the different travels that i did in asia, but anyways, i get in, i fly to japan.
I've loved the whole experience.
You guys should definitely check out my Japan vlogs because I never rewatch any of my videos, but I do rewatch my Japan vlogs because it was such a happy time in my life.
I think everyone goes through that phase in like their third or fourth year of university, like wondering like what are they gonna do for the rest of their lives?
And that kind of hit me earlier in third, like late second year.
So getting out of the city and just being able to meet new people was like a huge, huge help.
I've literally been obsessed with this brand called Judy Doll.
This is Judy Doll.
This eyebrow pencil is Judy Doll.
I bought them all from YesDoll.
I'll link them down in the description box.
Keep in mind the whole time I was applying to do this whole thing.
I was doing everything.
So last minute,
All my friends were like I'd be surprised if you actually end up in Japan, because All the forms I was submitting I was literally doing it on the last day it was due and my coordinator would constantly be like you need to stay on top of your task.
Fast forward.
My parents, my friends, they all think I wouldn't end up going to Japan because I'm literally the worst person at submitting these forms.
And everyone's mad at me.
My coordinators are mad at me.
My parents are like you're literally not gonna end up in Japan.
Like what is all this hard work for?
Everyone's like yelling at me left and right.
But fast forward, I do end up getting to Japan.
And even my dorm selection, it was done way too late.
But I did get the dorm that I wanted.
I literally missed my dorm lady.
She was so freaking nice.
First day on campus, it's like orientation day.
And I literally meet my friend group on the first day during orientation.
But Owen wasn't in our orientation group.
So I didn't even know he existed.
Until the first day of our Japanese classes.
The exchange group wasn't like that big. i feel like there were only like two like three four main friend groups where like most kids knew each other owen wasn't a part of any of them so i literally didn't know he existed because i feel like i've seen most of them on orientation day i walk into the class late and i see two empty desks i made eye contact with owen as soon as i stepped in through the door because he was sitting right up at the front and then i like go talk to the teacher and she's like oh you're sitting right here and it's like right next to owen so we like introduced ourselves to each other we got really close through that class i invited him out to hang out with all of our friends and then we literally hung out like every single day not like one-on-one literally like in a big group but i don't know if it's because i introduced him to the group like he always stuck by my side i always stuck by his side and it always like became this thing of like if i'm there like owen's gonna be there and if owen's there like i'm gonna be there type of thing and things just happen but i think it's so cute how we met in japanese class in tokyo like it was such a dream to be in tokyo for school at the same time like what are the possibilities right? and we always talk about the red string theory because if one thing went wrong if I missed one form I would have not been there and even Owen too he applied to other schools in Tokyo and he goes to NYU so it's a really competitive program for students to go to Japan so they have like the opposite problem of like what my school has my school has a problem of not enough students applying whereas his school has the problem of way too many students applying so it's a really competitive program for our kids to be able to go on so he actually didn't get assigned to a Tokyo school he got assigned to like Nagoya or something and he was really content with that until someone like dropped out last minute and then he just like replaced his spot so like we always talk about if like one thing didn't align like we would have never met each other and it's just cute I think it's very cute how we met I'm gonna use these lashes from 99dreams.
The case literally broke off but I love when lash companies use like plastic cases.
Does anyone know how to like remove this glue off your lashes at the end of the day?
Cause I always use my oil cleanser but it never comes off completely, so I always wake up with the glue all over my eyes and it's so annoying.
These are the lashes, and I'm just gonna put eyeliner on, the lash band, and put mascara on.
And in my previous vlog I started making this Valentine's Day card and I haven't shown you guys what it looks like, but I will after I do my makeup.
You guys were wondering what my post-grad plans will be like, if I'll be moving to New York and et cetera.
I honestly don't know.
I feel like I'm the type of person that kind of wants to live everywhere.
Like I would love to live in Tokyo for a bit and Korea for a bit.
Owen has lived in Madrid for like a year playing tennis.
So that's why we visited Madrid last summer.
But I would love to live in Spain as well.
I just want to live everywhere and explore the world.
And I hope to be able to share that journey with you guys online, because it's crazy the type of community we have.
I started this channel in high school and it has grown to this.
I still think it's really crazy.
This powder from MAC literally changes my face game.
It makes my skin look so freaking flawless.
So I do this again after I do everything.
And this is in the shade NC10.
And this has been my favorite lip balm slash lip gloss.
Owen's sister gifted this to me for Christmas.
Right now, the corners of my lip is like splitting open because my skin has been so dry.
It's so painful.
It does have slight color, but I feel like it's more on the clear side.
No, it's definitely a little pink.
This is the final makeup look.
Okay, this is about it for the makeup look, but i'll show you guys my dress and the card.
We're actually gonna go suit shopping for owen, so i'm not gonna put on the dress yet, but but i'll just still show it to you guys.
Okay, so this is what the card looks like.
I got this flower from Dollarama.
And there's like this little envelope on the back.
I'm gonna put his little necklace I'm wearing the first half.
It's from Marc Jacobs.
And it's like a best friend necklace.
This is my dress.
You can't really see it though.
It's like a cute little halter neck.
I got it from White Fox when I worked with them.
It fits me perfectly.
So I'll also insert some photos because I know I'll be taking some.
But yeah, we're gonna go out to do some shopping.
Before dinner reservation.
We popped into the 101 studio and fufu new york fashion week pop-up and it was super fun because they had little stuffies all scented differently and they had different ones for every mbti, so it was really fun to look for our own and smell it to see if we liked it or not.
We just got to the restaurant but they tried to seat us at this really weird seat outside.
So we're trying to negotiate, So cute.
Who else are you going to say that to?
