Hello, and welcome back to my slow English podcast.
Today, I want to talk about my day so far.
Because my day isn't over yet.
It's just beginning.
Today, I woke up at 5am in the morning.
It was brutal.
Finding the motivation to wake up at 5am can be very difficult, but I always Do.
You want your soccer analysis more direct than an Arsenal set piece.
Join me, Max Rushton and the Guardian's expert soccer journalists for the latest action and news from the Premier League to the Champions League and all the way to the World Cup.
We'll have chat more out of the box than a Dominic Sobber's live free kick, more panellists than Chelsea have players and, unlike VAR, we know where to draw the line.
For fine margins, fun debates and full-blooded tackles, Football Weekly.

I feel inspired to wake up, go for a run, and take a swim at the beach.
Because the beach at 5am is so, so peaceful.
It's super relaxing.
And for me, it's the best way to start my day.
Plus, the beach is completely empty at 5 or 6 a.m.
So I get to enjoy the beach by myself.
I ran to the beach, I swam for a little bit and then I sat in the sand and I took a moment to breathe and meditate for a little bit.
I stretched for a little bit.
Then I was ready to walk back home.
Then I was ready to walk back to the room that I'm staying in.
This room was only 5000 Mexican pesos.
So very cheap.
And I have an amazing view.
I love looking through the window and watching all of the waves. crashing onto the shore.
Puerto Escondido is one of my favorite places in the world.
It really does have a special place in my heart.
I got back home and I was starving.
So hungry.
My belly hurt and ached.
So I went to the kitchen to make myself a smoothie with spinach, pineapple, and water.
A nice green juice to start my day.
Now I'm recording for my YouTube channel before going to meet my boyfriend at his work.
He is working at a hotel at the moment.
So I'll take a green juice. maybe some lunch, and go see him for a little bit.
Then I'll work on my computer, I'll finish checking some emails and then I plan to go to the beach again.
I really like eating dinner at home or in a kitchen.
I really love having home-cooked meals.
Meals that are prepared at home.
And here I have a kitchen, so I always prefer to make something here rather than going out to eat at a restaurant howdy howdy ho and welcome to fantasy fanfellas i'm hayden producer of the fantasy fangirls podcast and your resident lover of all things sanderson and i'm steven your bookish internet goofball but you can call me the smash daddy And we are currently deep diving Brandon Sanderson's fantasy epic, Mistborn.
But here's the catch.
Stephen here has not read Mistborn before.
That's right, hey, hey.
So each week, you'll get my unfiltered, raw reactions to every single chapter.
And along the way we'll do character deep dives, magic explainers, and Stephen will even try to guess what's next.
Spoiler alert, he'll be wrong.
Newsflash, I'm never wrong.
Episodes come out every Wednesday and you can find Fantasy Fan Fellows wherever you get your podcasts.
Don't get me wrong.
I love eating out.
I love sitting down, ordering a meal, asking for recommendations or suggestions, trying new dishes and tipping the waiters or waitresses for their hard work, talking and chatting with friends.
But I think I love cooking and eating at home with a movie on my computer. even more.
That's why I prefer eating at home.
What do you prefer?
Eating at home or eating out?
And tell me why.
After swimming at the beach, I'll probably start cooking something for dinner.
I'm thinking pasta, but I'm also craving hamburgers.
I also think ceviche sounds really good.
Ceviche is a dish in Mexico with so many vegetables and fish.
It's so yummy.
And usually after eating dinner, I take 30 minutes to study Chinese.
I've been feeling really inspired in learning Chinese lately.
It's difficult to find time to study a language every day.
I know.
That's why I enjoy trying to make learning English a lot easier.
I think even five minutes of practicing is more than enough.
There's no need to put so much pressure on yourself to study for one hour or two hours a day.
You can make it so much easier by just listening and maybe watching a movie in English or the language that you're trying to learn.
I love my Chinese teacher because she just speaks to me and it feels like the lesson goes by so fast, but it's because I'm enjoying myself.
I don't feel the time passing by.
Tell me, what's your favorite way of learning English?
Watching videos, listening to podcasts, or writing and working on grammar structures?
Tell me in the comments.
After I study Chinese, I'll probably just relax, watch TikToks, and fall asleep.
And take a shower, of course.
I always forget to mention taking a shower and everyone in the comments asks me teacher, you don't take a shower.
