Hello everybody.
This is teacher levy, so this is the day after christmas.
We had a live stream on tuesday before christmas.
It went well, i think.
So we got to about halfway through the book and i told everybody on the stream that we're going to finish the book, which is The Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
You can see today I am outside.
We'll also do a shorter, slow English video.
I have, I don't know the name of the bridge behind me with the river, the Danube, Danube River.
And I want to just talk a little about the book challenge and then the new year coming up.
Sometimes you can hear people say new or you can hear them say new.
To me, both are fine.
So we can say new year or new year. but we'll talk about that as well we got about halfway through the book a little more so i want the viewers or the followers of the challenge to finish the book by the beginning of january so let's say the first week of january and we'll have a live stream which will cover the last part of the book.
And I also want to do some kind of summary to cover the vocabulary and everything that we mentioned.
Hopefully you guys are able to use these words and expressions in your English conversations.
So if you have classes or if you are practicing speaking out loud with yourself, you can add these words, terms and expressions into your practice.
I know there are people who are using the comment section notice comment section to write.
They're writing practice and they're using vocabulary from the videos.
This is a fairy behind me.
They're using the vocabulary from the videos to practice their writing in the comments, which is amazing.
But we'll do that in the beginning of January with the live stream.
The Diary of the Wimpy Kid is the book if you still would like to get it.
So the next thing I would like to mention because I talked about it with my class on Tuesday and I mentioned it on the live stream on Tuesday as well which is the new year coming up, which will be, I think, early next week, maybe on Tuesday, Monday or Tuesday, I think will be New Year's Eve.
So what are your goals for English?
I believe you should have something that you can measure.
And I was speaking about examples such as reading books.
It could be a number of books which you would like to read by 2027.
So from the beginning of 2026 until 2027, you could have the challenge a challenge for yourself to read five or 10 books in English.
They don't have to be difficult, but this is something that you can measure, you can keep track of.
To keep track of, we say to measure something.
So to keep track of my progress, to measure my progress.
It could be reading, it could be signing up for a test like IELTS or Duolingo has tests as well.
And this way you are having a goal for your study, your English practice.
I would recommend everybody to have that.
If you are willing, If you are comfortable, you can write your goal in the comments as well.
I think this way it would keep others motivated and perhaps inspired to write down goals for their English journey as well in 2026.
So Merry Christmas to everybody, Happy New Year, and I'll talk to you soon.
Thanks for joining.
If you support these videos, like and subscribe, and I'll see you soon.
Thank you, bye bye.
