Mable Kids! Okay, everyone, listen up!
I have a whole list of things I want to do today.
Who wants to hear it?
Yeah, I do! Great! Number one, I want us all to pretend to be dinos.
Number two, I want us all to play kickball together.
And number three, I think it would be so much fun for us to blow bubbles!
Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun!
Yeah, I want to do all of that.
Perfect. Oh, I'm so glad that we can all spend time together on our last day before summer break.
What? Wait, after today, we won't see each other for a long time?
That's right, Gowie.
Today is the last day we'll be spending together before we take our break for summer.
No, no, no. No! No!
I don't want to say goodbye to my friends.
Welcome to Stories for Kids by Lingo Kids, where we discover fascinating facts about the world around us and the fun of play learning.
In today's episode, summer break is just around the corner and the Lingo Kids friends are getting ready to say goodbye.
But even short goodbyes can stir up big emotions.
Let's join them and see how they help one another through all the big feelings that come with a little goodbye.
Okay, time to play dinosaurs!
Stomp, stomp, stomp!
Roar! Roar, roar, roar!
Um, Cowie? Yeah? We're playing dinosaurs, don't you want to be a scary dinosaur?
Roar. Hmm, that doesn't sound like a scary dinosaur.
Yeah, that sounds like a sad dinosaur.
Actually, that sounds like a sad cowie.
Well, that's because I am a sad cowie.
I keep thinking about how I'm going to miss everyone so much. It can be really hard saying goodbye to friends we care about, Cowie.
Yeah. Why don't we try some kickball now?
And it might just make you feel better, Cowie.
I guess it's worth a shot.
Anything to make me stop feeling so sad.
Yeah, we can try. It might cheer you up.
And it's the next thing on my list. Have fun.
Yay, Cowie! You kicked the ball!
Run, run, run! Oh! Yay!
You did it, Cowie. You got a run.
This has got to cheer you off so much. Yeah.
How are you feeling now, Cowie?
Well, I'm thinking about how I'm having so much fun playing with all my friends.
Oh no! I'm going to miss so much. I don't think kickball helped at all.
Kickball definitely didn't help at all!
Great thinking, Billy!
Let's do the last thing on my list which is...
Bubbles! Come on, everybody to the bubble field!
What do you say, Cowie?
Do you think you'd like to try bubbles?
Actually I just want to watch everyone else blow bubbles.
It's okay. That's just fine, Callie.
Sometimes watching can be just as fun.
Phew! That was so much fun!
I'm glad I got to finish my whole list of everything I wanted to do before the break!
Good work, Lisa! Anything missing from your list, Elliot?
Or is your packing done?
I'm glad I'll have everything I need to take home with me.
I'll be sick for a break.
Good job getting your floaty all packed up, Elliot.
Saying goodbye has brought up some big feelings today.
I know, Billy. You don't like to make a big deal about goodbyes, do you?
Billy, that's right.
Right! You're excited for the adventures you'll have on our break.
You see, everyone reacts to goodbyes differently, and that's okay.
Some of us get sad, and others feel fine.
Some might cry, and others might just say, See you later, alligator!
See you later, alligator!
That's so silly! Or, in a while, crocodile!
In a while, crocodile!
That's even sillier!
Hey, wait a minute.
What's that, Kali? I'm feeling sad about saying goodbye, but Billy isn't feeling sad about it at all.
Elliot was feeling worried about making sure he had all of his things.
And Lisa wanted to finish everything on her list before we're done.
We all do say goodbye in different ways.
That's right. How you say goodbye and feel about goodbyes is OK and just right for you.
Yeah, maybe there's a special goodbye song you can sing for all of us before we go?
I know singing makes you feel better.
Hmm, I've got. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye for just now.
We'll have fun this summer, then we'll be right back.
You'll see me soon, your favorite little cow.
Wow! Wow! That song was awesome!
It made me feel better to sing about my feelings.
And we will be back soon.
That's right. When you come back, you can tell us all about your summer adventures.
I love that plan. Can't wait to have some fun stories to tell you all about.
How about we all take a picture together?
together. If you're feeling sad, you can always look at it and remember we'll see each other soon.
I love that picture.
I feel a little sad about saying goodbye now.
Thank you so much for helping me.
Wait a minute! I actually have one last thing on my list. What's that?
Group hug! Well, Lingo Kids listeners, today Cowie learned that there's no right or wrong way to say goodbye.
Different friends say goodbye in different ways, and that's okay.
