Cody, want to hear a story?
Yes, I do.
Can I please help tell it, too?
Yes, listen close.
Let's imagine and rhyme.
It's Cocomelon Storytime!
What are you doing, Cody?
I'm building a sandcastle.
You know who would love your sandcastle?
Cinderella!
Cinderella?
Don't you mean Cinderella?
Well, this princess is like Cinderella. but her story's a bit different.
Once there was a girl named Sanderella whose favorite place was the beach.
She loved listening to the waves crashing on the shore and the seagulls flying in the sky.
Cool, cool.
And she loved playing in the sand.
Building sandcastles.
Yes.
One day, while Sanderella was walking on the beach, she found the coolest, most incredible sandcastle ever made a sand castle just like this.
I bet whoever built this one could teach me how.
Sanderella walked around the sand castle.
And did she find the builder?
No, but she did find a slipper.
A slipper?
Like a shoe?
Yes, only this slipper wasn't shaped like any shoe Sanderella had seen before.
Sanderella said, this must be the sand castle builder's slipper.
If I find who fits this slipper, I'll find whoever built this sand castle.
So, Sanderella walked along the shore and met a big red crab.
Click, click, click.
Sanderella tried the slipper on each of the crab's eight legs.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
But the slipper didn't fit.
I guess the crab didn't build the sand castle.
I'm not going to give up looking.
The slipper didn't fit, but Cinderella won't quit.
Suddenly, Cinderella heard a... Crawl, crawl.
A seagull.
Right.
Cinderella tried the slipper on both of her feet.
One, two.
And it tickled the seagull, so she laughed.
But the slipper didn't fit.
Don't worry, Cody.
The slipper didn't fit, but Sanderella won't quit.
Where did Sanderella search next?
She kept walking along the shore till she saw a little puddle of seawater up ahead.
Maybe whoever built the sand castle was in that puddle.
That's exactly what Sanderella thought.
So she ran over and found a starfish splashing around.
Sanderella tried the slipper on each of the starfish's five arms.
One, two...
Three, four, five.
But the slipper didn't fit.
So the starfish didn't build the sandcastle either.
Right, but Cinderella had come this far.
She wasn't going to stop searching for the builder now.
The slipper didn't fit, but Cinderella won't quit.
Cinderella walked along the shore all the way back to where she started.
But when she got there, the sandcastle was gone.
The waves had washed it away.
Was Sanderella sad?
Yes.
And she wasn't the only one.
There was a sea turtle sitting in the sand, sniffling.
What's wrong, sea turtle?
Asked Sanderella.
The sea turtle said, There's not just one thing wrong.
There's two.
I feel so sad.
I don't know what to do.
It's okay, turtle.
Let's take it one step at a time.
That's just it.
I can't take a step.
Look!
The sea turtle rolled onto his shell and wiggled his four flippers in the air.
One, two, three, four.
But only three of them had slippers.
One of my flippers is missing a slipper.
Is the missing slipper the sea turtle's?
Cinderella had a feeling it might be.
She said, earlier today I found this slipper.
I wonder if it fits your flipper.
Sanderella slid the slipper on the sea turtle's flipper and it fit perfectly.
Sanderella kept searching.
She didn't quit.
And she finally found who the slipper fit.
Sanderella never gave up.
She found the sand castle builder.
It was the sea turtle.
Yes.
The sea turtle stopped sniffling and said, you solved my other problem too.
I can build another sand castle thanks to you.
See, the sand feels scratchy on my nice smooth flippers.
When I build sand castles, I gotta wear these slippers.
Oh, these are the sea turtle's special sand castle building slippers.
Yup, now that he had his slipper back, the sea turtle showed Sanderella how to pack sand into buckets.
Pat, pat, pat.
And add a little water.
Splash, splash, splash.
And together, they built an even more incredible sandcastle than the first one.
The end.
We heard a story.
Yes, it's true.
And I helped tell it, too.
We listened, imagined, and made some rhymes for Cocomelon Storytime.
