Welcome to Charm Words, your daily reminder to be good to yourself and others.
My name is Zola and together we're going to breathe in the good, breathe out the bad and use words to remind ourselves of our worth.
When we talk about communities, we're referring to a group of people who live in the same area or share common interests, goals or values.
It's like a big extended family made up of neighbors, friends and other people who support and care for each other.
In these groups, everyone works together to do their part, just like a team would.
Today's Charamores encourage us to be helpful and considerate within our own communities.
We can do this by lending a hand when someone needs assistance.
Or we can help keep our neighborhood clean so that it can be enjoyed by everyone.
No matter how we choose to help, our actions will always have a direct impact on the people and places we call home.
That's why it's important to be a great team player.
Let's do some belly breathing, then we'll do our affirmations.
When you breathe in, use your nose and keep your shoulders still.
Once your belly fills up like a balloon, breathe out through your mouth by just letting go.
In through the nose, out through the mouth.
Ready?
Take a gentle deep breath slowly through your nose.
And breathe out through your mouth.
In through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
One more time.
Breathe in. and breathe out.
Today's charm words are, I am a responsible member of my community.
I'll say it first, then repeat after me.
Ready?
I am a responsible member of my community.
I am a responsible member of my community.
I am a responsible member of my community.
I am a responsible member of my community.
Remember, we're all valuable members within our communities.
Our actions, no matter how small they might seem, can make a big difference.
By making responsible and thoughtful decisions, we can help create a safer and happier environment for everyone to enjoy.
Let's do a high five.
On the count of three.
High five the person closest to you or clap your hands together and high five yourself.
Ready?
One, two, three.
