Cody want to hear a story.
Yes, I do.
Can I please help tell it to?
Yes, listen close.
Let's imagine in rhyme it's cocoa melon story time.
Mommy, watch me go down the slide.
Good job, Cody.
Mommy, Do you think our cat Pickles would have fun playing on the jungle gym like I do?
Hmm, I think she would.
Cats love to climb, especially this lion cub I know a story about.
Want to hear her story?
Yes, please!
It's called Queen of the Jungle Gym.
There once was a lion cub, crawling through the jungle, looking for fun.
Ooh!
Was it named Pickles?
It sure was.
And Pickles said, when I have fun, then I will meow.
But Mommy, if Pickles is a lion cub, shouldn't she roar instead?
You're right.
Pickles the lion cub wanted to have some fun.
So she set out to look for something so fun, it would make her roar.
Pickles peered around a big tree and saw lots of animals playing on a jungle jam.
You got it.
But this jungle gym was special because it was actually in the jungle and all the things to play on it were part of the jungle.
This is the place to have some fun, said Pickles.
And she headed toward a bunch of monkeys swinging from branch to branch.
They were having so much fun.
So Pickles thought, maybe the monkey bars will be so fun, they'll make me roar.
And a monkey said, Take a turn and you will see if you can have fun like me.
Pickles leapt up and grabbed a hold of the first branch.
Go, Pickles, go!
But then she tried to swing to the next branch.
She realized she couldn't because her claws were stuck.
Uh-oh, that doesn't sound fun.
I don't think Pickles roared.
You're right.
Pickles dropped from the branch, took a look around and said, If I have fun, then I will roar.
Maybe I should try one more.
So she pranced over to the baby birds swinging back and forth on big green ferns.
Like I do on the swings.
Right.
Those little baby birds were having so much fun swinging on the ferns.
What do you think they said, Cody?
Chirp, chirp.
Maybe swinging on ferns will make me roar, thought Pickles.
A baby bird said, Take a turn and you will see if you can have fun like me.
So Pickles hopped on top of one of the ferns and it flattened to the ground.
Why do you think that happened, Cody?
Because, um, I don't know.
It's because a lion cub is much heavier than a bird.
Pickles weighed the fur down so much it definitely wasn't swinging.
In fact wasn't even moving, so pickles was just sitting there.
That doesn't sound like fun.
So do you think pickles roared cody?
No way, not even close.
She hopped off the fern, had a look around and said if i have fun then i will roar.
Maybe i should try one.
Spotted some frogs taking turns, zooming down an elephant's trunk, like I do on the slide.
Yeah, and those slippery, slidey frogs were having so much fun it made them say ribbit, now sliding down an elephant trunk has got to make me roar, take a turn and you will see if you can have fun like me, said a frog, And Pickles leapt up onto the elephant's head.
But unlike the slidey frogs with their slippery skin, Pickles was covered with fur.
Uh-oh.
So instead of zooming down the elephant's trunk, she had to use her legs to scooch herself down inch by inch.
Sticking to the slide is the worst.
I bet she did not roar.
No, she did not.
Pickles scooched off the elephant's trunk and decided to just go home.
I tried the monkey bars, the fern swings, and the elephant trunk slide.
I guess this isn't the place to have some fun.
At least not for me.
Oh, Pickles is sad.
Mm-hmm.
But as Pickles walked away from the jungle gym...
She heard the animals behind her and turned around.
They were showing Pickles a rock wall that was covered in vines.
It seemed perfect for the lion cub to climb.
Like I do on the climbing wall.
Yes!
Pickles took a look at it and said, If I have fun, then I will roar.
Maybe I should try one more.
So she pounced onto the wall, sunk her claws into the vines, and started climbing.
Oh, I like this.
I think she's going to have fun.
Go, Pickles, go.
She made it all the way to the top and looked down at the whole jungle gym and all the animals, then let out a huge roar.
Pickles just needed to find the part of the jungle gym where she could climb.
Cats, I mean.
Lion cubs have fun climbing things.
Roar!
Exactly, Cody.
Thanks to her new friends, Pickles finally found her fun.
And then she felt like the queen of the jungle gym.
The end.
We heard a story.
Yes, it's true.
And I helped tell it, too.
We listened, imagined, and made some rhymes Cocomelon Storytime!
