Mara Chicken's definitely Indian.
Yeah, don't take that from us.

Chai Tea Latte.
Chai is Indian.
Chai tea is non-Indian.
Chai tea latte is definitely non-Indian.
Chai basically means tea.
So you're saying tea, tea, tea, tea.
Can I have a tea, tea?
Can I have chai tea?
Can I have tea, tea?
So just say chai.
Chai tea is tea, tea, latte.
Yeah.
So that's non-Indian.
But chai is Indian.
I don't make a good cup of chai.
I also am not, I'm a coffee drinker.
I am an espresso girl.
Like a good masala chai or something.
Once in a while I could do, but I need espresso.

I think Basmati rice could be from In-N-Around.
I mean, we do a lot of rice in India.
Non-Indian?
It's Indian love that.
I mean, i kind of knew that, but i thought we were going to go into uae or, like you know, the gulf or somewhere there.
But i love that.
Okay, basmati is indian chicken.

Glasgow.
I was right.

Marigold.
That's Indian.
It's not.
Definitely rooted in Indian culture, so was it an American that brought it to India?
Huh.
I need to do a rabbit hole deep dive into why, how, you know?
You would find marigold in weddings.
We use a lot of floral decorations.
You'd find it for weddings.
You'd find it at poojas, religious ceremonies.
So I'm really surprised that marigold is non-Indian.
Butter chicken is definitely Indian.
Don't take that from us.
That's North India.
That's ours.

There's a restaurant called Bukhara in Delhi, which has been known for eons.
Amazing butter chicken there.
I'm getting hungry now.

It's a really good fat.
So she used to actually put it in a spoon and stick it in my mouth, which I hated.
But she would put ghee on anything.
If you do rice with ghee, a little bit of salt, it's my favorite.

It's like soul food.
Ghee rice.
So nice.
