I'm Lucy. How are you today? In my first podcast, we listen to all the sounds we can find around us.
There are so many sounds that we hear every day.
Rattles Toots Hums clangs and thuds tickling in your ear sounds and booming far too noisy sounds.
Each day is filled with sound. And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too.
Did you hear that? I'm breathing in quickly through my nose and it makes a sniffing sound.
Can you make a sound too? Maybe your grown-up can show you.
It's time for our sound adventure. But before we start our adventure, we need some sounds from our magical bag of sounds.
Whoosh, here it is. This bag is full of exciting sounds for today's adventure.
I wonder what's inside? Let's open the bag to take a little listen.
Oh, there are so many sounds swirling around.
Can you hear some of them? Quack, quack.
Yes, I can hear a duck. Okay, bag. It's time for you to pick our sounds for today's adventure.
Let's close the bag and give it a shake to mix the sounds up nicely.
Let's dive into our bag of sound and see what treasures can be found.
A barking dog, some snapping sticks. Let's shake it up in four, five, six.
Ring ring. I know what that sound is. It's a phone.
Our first sound is a ringing phone. Now on to sound number two.
I wonder which sound will pop out next. Hmm, do you know this sound?
It's a truck and this truck makes a noise to alert people.
It's the siren of a fire engine. Good job, bag of sounds, for giving us two sounds for today's adventure.
A phone? and a fire engine. Now we only need one more sound to start our sound adventure.
And this sound will tell us where our adventure will happen.
It could be outside or inside. We could be in the woods or in a bathroom.
Where will our sound adventure be? Let's open the bag of sounds one more time.
Hmm, sounds like we're inside. It seems very busy and I can hear the engine of a truck.
People are working and talking over the radio to each other.
I know. We're at the fire station. A fire station is a special place where firefighters work to keep us safe.
So for today's sound adventure we are at the fire station with a phone and a fire engine.
And this is Amber and her friend Josh. Hello Amber.
Hello Josh. Amber and her friend Josh are visiting a fire station.
Today is the fire station open day, which means you can walk around the station and have a look at the fire engines and even meet some of the firefighters.
I wonder when our sounds will pop up. Listen out for the phone and the fire engine.
Can you spot them? Ready? Here we go. Don't you like that video?
Oh, yeah, really, really bad. Wow, what a fantastic time Amber and Josh had at the fire station.
They saw a fire engine and the water hose and then the alarm bell rang telling the firefighters there was an emergency.
So off they went in their fire engine. Did you hear the phone ringing and the fire engine siren?
Let's listen again and see if we can spot the sounds.

That's the phone. It's ringing. That's the siren of the fire engine.

Bye phone. Bye fire engine. All the sounds are safely back in the bag, ready for their next adventure.
