So we have been for lunch.
I ran, what the?
Hi, my name is Evie and welcome to this video in slow English.
Today we are going to be going to a Swedish island in the Swedish archipelago.
Right now we are on the bus, so we need to take a bus and then we catch a ferry and yeah, i have been really lucky because i have a seat on the top deck at the front of the double decker bus, so i have, like i have a.
Well, the view right now is not Not very beautiful, but i'm hoping that later we will have some really good views of the countryside.
Soon we are going to go over this bridge in front of us, but this is gothenburg, so the second biggest city in sweden.
It's quite an industrial city because it has a port in the distance.
You can see the port oops, and this very modern oh my gosh, zoom in this really modern skyscraper.
I now have quite a long bus journey before we get on the ferry.
So yeah, I just wanted to say hi and this is the plan for today.
We are in this little section for passengers, for people who are not in cars.
So most of the people on the ferry have cars.
I can try and show you so like this.
Most people drive their car onto the ferry, but we took a bus to get here so um, we're going to be sitting in this like passenger section.
This is for passengers, for pedestrians, so people who are walking.
I think the journey is about 10 minutes on the boat.
The ferry is now moving, there is another ferry And we are going to Høne Island.
I can't speak Swedish, so who knows?
If I said that correctly, I don't know.
Also, an archipelago is like a series of islands, so lots of islands together, like they have here in Sweden.
So we are heading to one of the islands in the archipelago.
We have just disembarked, so disembarking is like getting off the ferry basically, and now we are here, The plan now is to get some lunch.
So we are going to get lunch in a nearby village.
We are going to walk down by the harbour until we find a cafe.
That is the plan.
So there's a small cottage down there and this red windmill.
This windmill was built in the 1800s.
That's amazing.
The windmill is behind me, but if you go, if you go up these rocks, you can see the port as well.
Oops, oh my god, it's so slippy.
I need to be careful.
Okay, something interesting about sweden is it is the country with the most islands in the world, So we are going to explore one of the islands today, but it's really peaceful.
You can see there's not many people here. and there's a small harbour.
You can see the harbour wall.
I can zoom in.
Here is the harbour wall as well.
To get to the village with the cafe, we had to walk around the coast, so on the coast path, but there was no like obvious trail.
So i need to be careful because this is the footpath.
Okay, i need to watch my step.
We often had to guess where we were going and for the whole journey we were following these blue dots.
We're following these like blue dots, can you see?
They were kind of like checkpoints in a video game.
Um, so that was quite fun okay, and one more yeah, i mean it's really beautiful.
The nature is super wild, but look at this path.
Here there's this huge rock and then behind us is the sea.
It's amazing.
I have never been to one of these islands before.
It was a really amazing walk.
We passed docks and beaches and houses and ice, everything.
And it was really amazing.
Obviously my microphone, like my mic, wasn't working as usual whatever, but eventually we made it to the place where we were having lunch.
You can tell that it's cold.
Look at the dark.
So cute.
We arrived at the place we were having lunch and we decided to go to one of the cafes and right as my food arrived, right as my food came, my phone died.
So i had to ask the girl at the bar if she could charge my phone for me.
Um, so i start filming after lunch.
There's some old fishing nets.
This is like an old hotel, I think.
Many people in Sweden come here for the summer.
People come out to the archipelago and they come here to swim and enjoy the nature.
It's a goose, so we have been for lunch.
Um, i ran what the?
We're now in a forest and like we've just, we've just gone by this.
What, what is that?
It's like a.
Oh my God.
It's like a display of father Christmas in the forest.
Okay.
It's kind of weird.
We're just here like in the forest and there's loads of these decorations.
Anyway.
Yeah, we had lunch.
I didn't film because my phone died.
But it's really, really beautiful here.
We have walked all the way around the parameter of the island, all the way around the outside.
And it was all by the sea.
And now we have been rerouted.
The path has changed and We're in this really beautiful forest, which apparently has loads of Father Christmases in here or, if you prefer, American English, Santa Claus.
Santa Santa Claus We say Father Christmas Anyway, so we're now going to head back to the ferry yeah but it's been really really beautiful and it's very peaceful here so it's been really really cool you can see why like it would be easy to learn They just won't pick their heads up though. we have finished the walk now and we're back on the bus so the plan is just to finish the day we are going to have a drink and yeah that's everything from me so Thank you so much for watching and I will see you in the next video.
Bye!
