Quiet on the set.
I need quiet on the set.
Welcome, my friends.
Yay!
Welcome to the Eagles View.
The podcast where Emerson students get to spread their wings and share amazing stories, ideas and fun facts.
I'm Jack, a fourth grader who loves video games.
And I'm Laylee, a fourth grader who loves animals.
In this episode, you've got bam buckets, pencils, elephants, salmon.
And as always, the joke of the week.
So grab your headphones, settle in, and let's fly!
Awesome!
Hi, my name is Rishi.
Hi, my name is Alex.
And today we're going to be talking about Bam Anabio's crazy three-point game.
Bam Anabio's 83-point game that made history on March 10th and a high scoring against the Washington Wizards.
Bam Adebayo got 83 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks.
What an outstanding game for him.
He is among 11 players that have at least scored 70 points a game.
These include Kobe Bryant, Luka Doncic, David Thompson, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, David Robinson, Elgin Baylor, Joel Embiid and Devin Booker.
What's crazy is that he passed Kobe Bryant, who famously scored 81 points on January 22 2006 against the Toronto Raptors.
But it sadly wasn't enough to beat Will Chamberlain's 100 point game.
Go BAM!
Hi, my name is Corbett and I am in second grade.
I am going to write about what you write with.
Can you guess what it is?
If you said pencils, you are correct.
Yes!
The first pencil was made in 1560 in Italy.
That was back in the old days.
There are many different brands of pencils.
My favorite is Ticonderoga.
Can I tell you a secret?
I'm writing with a pencil.
Isn't that amazing?
Hi, my name is Jacob and this is the joke of the week.
What happens if you can't see the person who's telling the joke?
It just means they're a stand-up chameleon.
Ba dum dum dum.
Hi, my name is Frances.
I'm in second grade.
Do you like elephants?
Because I do.
African elephants can live up to 70 years, while Asian elephants can live up to 60.
Adult African elephants are the largest elephants.
They can be about 8 to 13 feet.
Wow, that's really big.
Elephants have long-term memory, which means they can remember things for a very long time.
Elephants can communicate through vibrations in the ground.
I never knew elephants could talk with their feet.
Elephants can lift over 770 pounds.
Elephants are four to six tons.
This is dedicated to my mom because she loves elephants.
See you next time, bye.
Did you know salmon are the reason why the Great Lakes are ecologically intact?
This is how it happened.
Salmon were brought by Howard Tanner to the lakes to take control over the invasive wildlife that took over after the ecological collapse of the lake trout getting eaten by the sealant freeze.
Thanks to Howard Tanner bringing the salmon to the Great Lakes, the food chain is all good.
A fun fact about salmon is that salmon climb small waterfalls to lay their eggs in the rivers they grew up in.
That's like walking miles to the place where you were born.
Salmon are incredible.
