This is The Interface, the show that explores how tech is rewiring your week and your world.
This isn't about quarterly earnings or about tech reviews.

We're here to answer your questions about English language, culture and life.
I'm Buli, and in this episode, I have Becca here to help me answer a question.
Morning, Becca.
Hi, Buli.
Isn't it a gorgeous day?
I love it when the sun's shining.
Me too.
It makes me feel so much happier than the rain.
Right, let's hear the question.
I often confuse you two with me too.
For instance, if someone says nice to meet you, I want to express I'm happy to meet you as well.
But the correct response is you two.
Can you explain when to use each of these phrases?
I think this is such a good question.
Me too.
Or should I say you too?
不过,在和他人打招呼时却经常会用 you too来回答 nice to meet you等问候语。
Let's get started and we'll find out.
I think I'm going to eat out for lunch today.
It's so sunny.
Me too.
Maybe we could go for a wander together.
There's a new falafel place around the corner and I love falafel.
Me too.
I like a falafel wrap.
Oh, you'll have to go without me.
I just remembered I said I'd meet a friend for lunch and I haven't seen him in ages.
I can't miss this.
Ah, no problem.
Well, have fun and enjoy the sunshine.
You too.
Yes, like when you said you'd go out for lunch, I said me too, because we both had the same idea of going out in the sun.
And when you said you like falafel, I said me too, because I agree.
We share the same idea about falafel.
It's delicious.
If we agree on something in a negative way, we say me neither.
For example, I've never been to Japan.
Me neither.
I haven't been there.
But, Becca, what about you two?
When do we say that?
We say you too when we want to return the same message to someone.
So if I say have a good day, you could reply with you too, meaning you want me to have a good day as well.
Ah, I see.
So it means I want to say the same thing to you too.
This is common with phrases like nice to meet you, good luck or take care.
If it's relevant, you can say it to return the same feeling back to the other person.
And it's polite to say this.
You're returning the politeness to them.
That's right.
I think this is such a good question的时候, 我应该用me too还是you too呢?
It's me too.
We think the same thing.
We share the same opinion.
Well, I think that's answered the question.
Me too.
