In honor of Halloween, today I'm gonna be sharing with you all of my paranormal stories.
Can I confirm that paranormal entities were involved?
No, I can't. In fact, I feel like if a scientist listened to this episode, they'd be able to come up with some sort of scientific explanation for every single story that I am about to tell.
So take it all with a grain of salt, all right?
But these are all of my paranormal stories.
We're just like weird stories, spooky stories.
Ooh. So yeah, I had quite a few sort of paranormal moments as a kid.
You know, the mind of a child is so interesting.
Like, I remember these things so vividly, but I also know that memory is kind of malleable.
It's almost like how we'll tell stories from generation to generation to generation.
And by the time it gets to like the 10th generation, the story is completely different than it originally was, right?
It's kind of like that with our memories.
I think things evolve and the story sort of changes a little bit because you don't always remember things perfectly and I don't know.
So it's like, these are stories that I remember, but it's funny cause I'm like, I really don't know how perfect these memories really are.
Anyway, let's begin.
All of my sort of paranormal experiences when I was young, happened between the ages, maybe seven to 12, I would say.
And then nothing happened for awhile.
The first story I can remember is one day I was sleeping on my dad's couch.
I actually used to hang out a lot on my dad's couch.
I'd bring some sort of entertainment source, my iPod touch, I don't know, a book, and I would lay on the couch after school.
It was like my main hangout spot.
And one particular evening I fell asleep on the couch.
Now, when I woke up from my nap, I was kind of groggy.
It was dark out, probably like 7 p .m.
in the winter time.
And I'm laying there half asleep, half awake.
My eyes are kind of like blinking, opening clothes kind of slowly.
And at the edge of the couch, I see the outline of a man, older man, stand up from behind the foot of the couch as though he was crouching and slowly walk around me to the back of the couch where my head was.
He walked from where my feet were to behind my head.
I'm like half asleep.
And I watched this whole thing happen.
But it was sort of like an aura.
It was like the shape of him.
It wasn't like I could see eyes or a mouth or fingers.
It was like a blob.
But I could tell it was like an old man because of the posture and because of the outline of the hair.
And I was like, what the fuck was that?
But it was weird because I was not afraid.
Like energetically, I just did not feel scared.
And a few moments later, I sat up and I turned around and nothing was there.
And that was kind of the end of it.
And it was very odd.
And I think if I were to come up with some sort of hypothesis of what this was, because I know I was awake.
I mean, I was groggy and I was like definitely just coming out of sleep, but I was awake.
I remember this clear as day.
If I had to come up with some sort of hypothesis as to what this was, I think there was some sort of brain like glitch where I was dreaming while I was awake.
Is this possible? I don't know, let me Google it.
Okay. Healthline says, what is hypnagogia?
I don't know how to say that.
Hypnagogia, maybe, I don't know.
The state between wakefulness and sleep.
It's the transitional state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep.
It's the opposite of hypnopompia which is the transitional state that occurs before you wake up.
Wait, what is this?
Hypnopompia, how do you fucking say that?
Okay, let's see what that is.
Maybe that's what happened to me.
Hypnopompia is the state of consciousness leading out of sleep.
A term coined by the psychological researcher, Frederick Myers, its mirror is the hypnagogic state.
Oh yeah, so this means you can have visual hallucinations sleepfoundation .org says you can have hypnopompic hallucinations.
They often involve seeing moving shapes and colors or images of animals or people.
While these images can move, they generally do not form a story like dreams do, between 8 % and 34 % of these hallucinations.
This is exactly what fucking happened to me.
See, oh my God, already I'm proving my paranormal stories wrong.
I just had a hypnopompic hallucination.
Okay, and according to clevelandclinic .org these types of hallucinations aren't associated with the health condition and are considered harmless.
So I'm very, very grateful for that.
Wow, that is so fucking funny, damn it.
See, you know, I kind of wanted it to be real because I do think, I can't remember for sure but the house that I grew up in, my dad's house, it's an old house, it was built, I think in like the 30s or the 40s and the people who lived in it prior to my family, I think was an old couple that ultimately
did pass away there, which is very common.
But I sort of believed for many years, like wait, maybe that was the ghost of the people who lived there before and listen, could that possibly be it as well?
Never say never, but it does sound like I had one of these sort of hallucination.
So there is a scientific, there is a scientific explanation.
Okay, next story. So my mom used to be sort of like an office manager for this company, whatever the fuck that means.
She worked in an office.
Okay, and her office had a little deck off of it.
Her office was actually in an old house that was one story.
Okay, so she had a little deck off of her office but it was ground level.
And she used to have this little cat named Patches that would come and tap on her window and come in and hang out with her, right?
So she would like open up her office and this sort of neighborhood cat would like come in and hang out.
And the cat did have a collar.
However, it was sort of a mystery as to like whose cat this was.
And the cat always sort of seemed to be hungry and wanting attention.
So my mom gave it the love and attention that it wanted.
And because the cat was sort of seemingly without a home, my mom gradually started to feel more responsible for this cat.
And slowly but surely my mom started to develop this very personal relationship with this cat.
And then I started to develop this personal relationship with this cat because I would often go to my mom's office when she was working and do homework or whatever.
I couldn't be home alone.
And so I started to bond with this cat and ultimately my mom and I fell in love with this cat, especially my mom, but me as well.
So we started to occasionally take this cat home.
Now we would only take this cat home when the weather was really horrible.
Like when there'd be like a really bad storm or something, which is like probably not the, but no, actually I don't think it's a bad idea.
It was totally fine.
Because then the next day she would just bring the cat back to work and let it out.
But we did not keep the cat because we didn't know whose it was anyway.
So we really fell in love with this cat.
And then there was one day where my mom was at the office by herself and it was a really windy stormy sort of night.
And my mom contemplated, should I bring Patches, the cat home tonight?
But she was like, I think he'll be okay.
So she has Patches leave her office and she closes the door to the deck.
And this door is like a glass door.
And Patches puts his little hand up on the glass.
And then my mom puts her little hand on the glass and they say goodnight to each other.
And unfortunately that was the last time we ever saw Patches.
Patches ate some poison or something and died like a week later.
My mom and I were incredibly, incredibly sad, especially my mom, devastated.
And then one day I'm in the bathroom and out of the corner of my left eye, I see like the outline of a black cat.
I was like, what? And I turned to my left and nothing's there.
And I was like, huh, that's weird.
Then a few weeks after that, my mom mentions that she had seen an outline of like a black cat.
And we were like, what the fuck?
What's going on? And I think my mom saw the black cat out of the corner of her eye a few more times in the house.
I did not. I think I only saw the outline of the black cat like once.
Fast forward to, I don't know, a month later, maybe, maybe two months, I can't quite remember.
My mom and I used to go to TJ Maxx all the time because we loved going around on TJ Maxx, seeing what we could find.
It was one of our favorite little activities.
And next to the TJ Maxx in my hometown is a pet store, basically.
And this particular pet smart has a little section of adoptable kitties in there.
My mom and I used to often go into the pet store just to say hi to the cats and look at them through the glass.
So after going to TJ Maxx one day, my mom and I were like, hey, let's go into pet smart.
See what's happening with the kitties.
And as we're walking towards the cat adoption area, which was almost like one of those cat trees, but it was protected by like a clear plastic wall so that they couldn't escape, obviously.
So you could see all the cats sleeping and playing and whatever.
As we're approaching the cats, my mom hears this really loud meow and is like, what the fuck is going on?
She walks closer and she starts to see this cat.
It's a black cat with orange little spots and it's meowing at her, meowing at her.
So she walks up and she goes, you know, what's going on?
Like whatever. And she puts her hand on the glass and the cat just immediately puts its hand up on the glass as well and their hands meet.
And my mom immediately is like, this is Patches.
This is not just any random cat.
This is Patches. I have chills right now telling the story, whether it's real or a coincidence, it doesn't fucking matter.
It was like my mom was reuniting with Patches.
And so of course, we did adopt that cat.
Her name is Jasmine.
That was her name when we adopted her and we kept her name, Jasmine.
And to this day, my mom and I both think that Jasmine is Patches reincarnated.
For what this is worth, my mom and I stopped seeing little silhouettes of black cats out of the corner of our eye at our home after we adopted Jasmine.
It was really odd that the cat screamed at my mom from across the pet store.
I mean, the whole thing was kind of weird, but regardless of if it really is the spirit of the other cat, we want to believe that it is.
I mean, it's kind of like a fucking movie.
Like my mom touching her hand at the glass and then the cat fucking passing away.
And then a few months later, my mom doing the same thing with a cat at the pet store.
Like, I mean, come on.
Like, this is a fucking Hallmark movie.
I'm serious. Hallmark, you can buy this story off of me if you want.
I mean, the shit, you can't make the shit up.
Actually, you can, you can make the shit up, but it's pretty awesome.
So I want it to be true.
And that was sort of my mom's story more than mine.
However, I was sort of adjacent to it.
So that's why I guess I consider it my ghost story.
But you know what? This is like a happy ghost story.
This is as happy as it could get.
This is like a dream.
I mean, when you know, loss is so fucking uncomfortable and this is a happy story.
This is the type of story that we want to tell, that we want to hear, that we want to experience, not the scary stuff.
Okay, next. This one is really weird.
And again, I bet there's a scientific explanation for it, but I just, it is the biggest mystery, I think probably in my life, like how this happened.
And you're going to have to take my word for it because it's just so odd.
And it really actually upsets me and scares me.
Like I really can't comprehend how this happened.
So, okay. My family really enjoyed hanging out at the ice skating rink in our town.
I have some hockey players in my family, my cousins and I all learned to ice skate at a really young age.
None of us were good.
Spoiler alert. But we all enjoyed, you know, taking figure skating classes, going to like just skate on the weekends.
We really enjoyed it.
Again, none of us were good, but we enjoyed it.
This particular ice skating rink was very nice.
It was two stories.
And on the bottom floor was the rink and the check -in desk and all that technical stuff.
And then on the second floor, there was a little restaurant and a little arcade and a little bar.
And outside of that, there was like a little balcony where people could bring their drink outside and enjoy a beer in the sun while their kids ice skate and bruise their kneecaps and stuff.
And so one random weekend, I am at the ice rink with my cousin and her family.
So my dad and mom did not come to the ice rink this day.
Okay. Actually my mom like never went to the ice rink.
But my dad did not come with me to the ice rink.
It's my dad's side of the family that likes going to the ice rink, okay.
And on this particular occasion, my dad did not go.
He was like working or something and so my aunt and uncle and cousins were the ones who took me.
And so my cousin and I were playing air hockey in the arcade area on the second floor of this ice rink.
Now imagine this, right next to the air hockey table is a door that leads out to the deck, okay.
That little deck outside.
Now there are also windows that allow you to see out onto the deck.
They like to keep the ice rink pretty dark.
I don't know why, but the whole ice rink was like always dark.
So they always had the blinds closed, windows closed, whatever.
So this air hockey table is right next to two windows that show out to the deck and then the door.
I'm like within what?
Two feet of this deck.
I'm playing air hockey with my cousin.
We're having a blast.
I hear a knock on the window.
I'm like, that was weird.
And I can't see out the window at all.
So I open up the blinds a little bit with my fingers and it's my dad.
And I was like, what the fuck?
How did he, he wasn't supposed to be here today.
Like he's working and he's waving at me.
And for probably four seconds, okay.
One, two, three, four.
Four seconds like that.
I am face to face with my dad, okay.
I'm probably four inches away from him.
Maybe, maybe a foot, okay.
That's a very big difference.
I'm probably a foot away from my dad, looking at him directly through this window.
I yelled at my cousin, who I'm playing with.
I was like, hey, my dad's here weirdly.
She was like, what?
I was like, I know, let me go say hi to him.
I didn't think he was coming today.
She was like, yeah, what?
I opened the door to the deck outside and it's a family that I don't know.
And I was like, hey, my dad's out here.
And they were like, are you sure?
And I was like, yeah.
He just knocked on the window.
They were like, no, no one knocked on the window.
And I was like, okay.
I'm being pranked, this is funny.
Love you guys, this is super silly.
I go downstairs to where my aunt and uncle were and I'm like, hey, my dad's here.
And they're like, no, he's not.
I was like, what the fuck is going on?
So I was like, can I call him?
He's here. I call him, he's driving.
I was like, are you at the ice rink?
He's like, no. I was like, are you kidding me?
He's like, no. I was like, you just knocked on the fucking window.
Don't play with me.
You just knocked on the window.
What's going on? He was not at the ice rink.
I cannot explain what happened.
I cannot fathom how this happened.
And moments like this are really scary because we like to feel like reality is real.
And when something like that happens, it really shakes your sense of reality.
Now I was a kid at the time and so it freaked me out, but I was like, you know, whatever.
I think it actually scares me more in retrospect.
It frightens me. It almost makes me lose trust in myself.
Like, whoa, is that still happening?
Luckily, nothing like that has happened since.
That is the only time in my entire life that anything like that has ever happened.
And I don't even know how to Google a scientific explanation for an experience like this.
Let me try. Googling it is not pleasant.
I don't recommend Googling stuff.
Usually, it's better to go to the doctor because let me tell you, I was just diagnosed with a lot of stuff on WebMD, okay?
Because I thought I saw my dad in the window once.
Listen, it is a weird story.
It is clearly a hallucination of some sort.
It's the only time it's ever happened.
And listen, like, I don't know.
I don't know how to explain it.
Like, was it just a hallucination?
Maybe I was thinking about my dad and then I was thinking about him so much that I hallucinated him.
I mean, I don't know how it's possible, but it's scary.
I mean, it makes me uncomfortable to think about and I hope it doesn't ever happen again.
But also, like, who's to say that there's not something paranormal involved when these things happen?
Like, we don't know everything for sure.
People are gonna be like, Emma, that's what scientists are for?
But scientists get shit wrong sometimes, I don't know.
But I respect and love scientists.
That is not, by no means disrespecting a scientist.
Okay, next story. Now, this is not like paranormal, but this like really stuck with me as something that like, I don't know if I'll ever be able to, again, like comprehend what it was.
So, growing up, my family used to do a yearly beach town sort of vacation where we would go to this little beach town in California, stay in little cabins and go to the beach every day and whatever.
Now, the beach was always cold, okay?
This beach town is not like a tropical beach town, okay?
It's Northern California, it's a bit colder.
So, my cousins and I, we were rarely swimming.
I mean, we would swim sometimes, but it was pretty cold.
For the most part, we were just playing around in the sand.
And as a kid, I loved, loved wet sand.
I loved digging in a wet sand.
I loved the feeling of wet sand.
It was so satisfying, whatever.
And I remember this so vividly.
I was digging just for fun.
Like, not even, I wasn't like digging for any purpose.
I was just digging with my fingers in the sand.
Digging and digging, digging.
And all of a sudden, I like hit something kind of hard.
I'm probably like, I don't know, maybe a foot down, maybe less, maybe six inches deep.
I had not dug that deep, okay?
But it kept filling up, filling up, filling up because water was rushing over it, you know, and it was wet sand, so it was kind of filling in the hole.
So, I was digging and digging and digging and I wasn't getting very far.
And I, all of a sudden, I feel something.
And I see like a reptilian, it almost looked like a snake.
And then it slithered away.
But it was like big.
Like it was like big, big, big, okay?
It was like, I don't know, maybe three inches diameter?
Four inches, maybe?
Like it was big in my memory.
And I freak out, because I'm like, what the fuck was that?
Assuming it's some sort of sea creature.
I go to my family, I'm like, what do you, I just saw this big thing.
They're like, I don't know what that was.
Like I don't think there's any creatures like that around here.
And I was like, what?
Let me Google it. I looked up, reptilian understand creature, Northern California.
Are there snakes? It could have been a snake.
Did they go under the, I bet it was a fucking snake.
Whatever, I thought it was like a Loch Ness Monster, but now I'm realizing it was probably just a snake.
Because I'm now, I'm seeing that snakes can go in sand.
Okay, so it was a snake you guys.
It's so funny. Because I've had all these stories like in my head thinking that all the shit's like haunted for years and years and years.
And now I'm looking it up and just finding like logical explanations for all of it, because I've never taken the time to just Google it before, because I was too young.
Okay, listen, it didn't help that during that time of my life, when I saw that little snake or whatever it was, I mean, it was huge, whatever it was, it was spooky.
Haunted or paranormal or Loch Ness Monster or not.
It was scary. And it was especially weird too, because it was like completely submerged under the sand and then slithered away.
I was like, how is that even possible?
It just didn't feel real.
It didn't feel like something that was possible.
It felt like crazy.
But anyway, during that time, I also believed in the animal planet documentary or foe documentary about mermaids.
I don't know if any of you remember that.
When Animal Planet made a full fake documentary, which I think is evil, actually evil for children, about finding mermaids, and it was all fake.
But I believed it was a real documentary because I'm sorry, but my media literacy as a fucking like, I don't know, 10 year old, is it perfect?
And if I see something that's filmed in documentary style and to believe that it's true, I am not, I've not forgiven Animal Planet for that.
But that, yeah, I mean, I was in that phase of like believing in mermaids and like being obsessed with mermaids.
And then I see this like slithering thing.
And I was like, oh my God, is it like, what is it?
What kind of sea creature is that?
Anyway, whatever. Okay, my last story as a child, there was probably just another hallucination, which it now sounds like I had a lot of hallucinations as a kid.
I did not, okay? I had maybe three and they're all being told to you right now.
I've been around for 23 years, all right?
So go easy on me and don't start jumping to conclusions about me.
Anyway, my last probably hallucination was one time at school, there was like this random little girl, she was a few grades below me, I think.
I was probably in like third or fourth grade.
She was probably in like first or second grade.
She was actually a girl in my class as a little sister.
And for some fucking reason, I could have sworn that I saw her eyes flicker like a reptilian, okay?
Now I know you're thinking, Emma, you're a fucking conspiracy theorist.
You think there are reptilians?
You think that this the Illuminati?
Relax, okay? No, I didn't know about that shit back then.
Like reptilian people, I had never heard of that concept in my entire life.
I just could have sworn I saw her eyes like flicker like a fucking reptile.
And I remember I went and I told my mom and she was like, oh my God.
And she was so freaked out.
And I was like, I don't know.
I didn't even think that much about it.
I just thought it was weird.
But again, like with all these stories, it's hard to trust a child's brain, right?
Children are so imaginative and the prefrontal cortex and shit is not fully developed and it's so hard to even trust the brain of a child.
So who knows? But listen, there's a bunch of conspiracies about reptilian people.
I actually, I love conspiracies, but I kind of forget what that conspiracy is.
Reptilian, reptilian, I'm Googling it, reptilian people.
Oh, oh, it's very controversial.
I see, let's see. I'm reading this.
Listen, don't start calling me a fucking conspiracy theorist because I thought I saw some girls eyes change into reptilian eyes when I was like in fourth grade.
Okay. I had never even heard of this theory, but I am curious about this.
Oh, this goes back really far.
I'm on Wikipedia, so that's not necessarily the most reliable source.
According to British conspiracy theorist David Ike, tall, blood -drinking, shape -shifting reptilian humanoids from the Alpha Draconis star system now hiding in underground bases are the force behind a worldwide conspiracy against humanity.
Oh, I see. Okay. Well, I'm not speaking to that, okay?
That's not what I'm fucking speaking to.
So leave me alone. I just thought that this girl in my class was a reptilian.
I really did. I was like, I saw her eyes flicker.
I can't explain it.
That scary story aged well.
Okay. Anyway, that's pretty much all the scary stories, paranormal stories I have from being a child.
I do have one. As an adult, but I've already told the story before.
So as I'm telling it, if you've already heard it because you listen to anything goes, just turn it off and go listen to something else.
I don't blame you. But if you haven't heard this story, great.
This one's probably the most interesting out of all of them, to be honest.
It all started when I bought the house that I live in today.
Now this house was built in the fifties.
When I bought it, it was somewhat renovated.
You know, it's not the exact same to how it was in the fifties, but it was pretty retro, right?
And I spent two years fixing it up, modernizing it, blah, blah, blah, blah.
After two years of working on it, it was finally finished and it was time to move in.
And I had worked with interior designers to help me design the house.
And as a gift, they're like, we want to set up a session for you with an energy reader or like a ghost person.
Like somebody who talks to ghosts, like a medium.
Yeah, something like that.
And I was like, all right, for sure, like thank you.
And they were like, basically, this person will come in and clear the energy of your home and get rid of ghosts and get rid of bad energy and blah, blah, blah.
And I was like, rock on, like let's do it.
So this person comes, does their thing and ultimately lets me know that there is a ghost in my house.
However, the ghost is a young boy and he's pretty innocent.
He's a trickster, he'll play tricks every once in a while, but he's not like evil.
He's not sinister. He's just kind of a jokester.
And my mom and I were kind of like, huh, you know, maybe that explains the ladder that went missing a few months ago during construction or whatever.
We were kind of like open to the idea, but we also weren't, like we weren't scared of it.
We also weren't like necessarily fully convinced, you know, with all due respect to this woman, it was just kind of like, okay, well, what do we know?
Everybody has different beliefs and they think certain things mean certain things.
I don't know, it's just, we were grateful for her service.
We took her service with a grain of salt and that was sort of the end of it.
So we like acknowledged what she said and we weren't immediately like, all right, sure, yeah.
No, we were like, okay, maybe, but maybe not.
And who knows? Okay, fast forward to me living in the house probably a year.
And my mom was at my house one day.
She randomly like loses her glasses, which is kind of unusual because I don't know, like she always has her glasses on her head or whatever.
And if she puts her glasses down, it's usually in a pretty obvious place.
It was just kind of bizarre that she had lost her glasses.
And she had only been in like two or three rooms in my house that day.
So it was like extra odd that she had lost them.
Like we literally searched high and low.
The glasses were so well hidden.
It was almost like they would have had to have been placed somewhere.
It didn't make any sense, right?
And my mom was kind of bummed and she was like, whatever, they probably fell off my head and like slid in a really hidden place underneath some sort of piece of furniture or something.
Like they'll probably show up eventually they have to.
Like I was just wearing them a few minutes ago.
And oh, by the way, we also checked to see if she was wearing the glasses on my security cameras, which is so extra, but she was wearing them.
We looked for months, okay?
We could not find this stupid pair of glasses.
And it kind of became this like running joke.
And my mom even made some jokes about like potentially the ghost having hid them or whatever.
Now, a few weeks later, maybe a month later, my mom and I are in one of my rooms downstairs.
It's like kind of a closet room.
I store like jackets and shoes and I have like my makeup vanity in there.
It's where I do my hair and makeup, whatever.
It's like sort of like a little secondary closet, glam room, whatever.
And my mom and I are in there talking.
And in that room, there's a bunch of other closets, right?
Like there's my hoodie little closet area.
And then there's like my other jacket closet and all of the pieces of clothing are behind sort of a cabinet, right?
Or a sliding door or whatever.
So everything's sort of hidden.
And I'm about to grab a hoodie and I open up my hoodie closet as my mom and I are just casually talking about her glasses having gone missing.
And there they are.
In my hoodie closet, as we're talking about the glasses, my mom and I start sobbing, sobbing, crying because we could not fucking believe it.
I was like, did you put them in here?
She's like, no, I didn't even go in this room.
What the fuck? We were freaking out.
And listen, like, is there a chance that she just completely forgot that she like went in that room?
Maybe she went into my hoodie closet.
Maybe she was cold when she was at my house and like put on one of my hoodies.
Would she have remembered that?
Yes, so it doesn't make any sense.
But I'm just trying to play devil's advocate here.
Like it was weird. We were like, she doesn't, my mom barely ever goes into this closet.
And they were perfectly folded up too, as though they were just placed there.
It wasn't like they were like open and like all, no, perfectly placed, all folded up right there.
We freaked out. And my mom and I started screaming at this ghost.
We're like, you fucker, like, don't do this stuff anymore.
Like, we love you, you're safe here.
You can hang out here, but don't play pranks on us anymore.
Like, this is so weird.
Okay, fast forward to like, I don't know, a few months later, I've told the story before.

The episode's called the scariest night of my life, I think.
I truly believe that the ghost returned and played a little prank.
To make a long story short, because I already made a whole episode about this.
My doors, every time a door opens, it makes a chime sound, okay?
One day, one evening, actually, I go down into my garage to get some more toilet paper because I'd run out of toilet paper.
I was walking back up the stairs with my toilet paper after getting it from the garage.
And I heard the sound of a door chime, the door opening.
And I was like, oh, that's weird.
Now every once in a while, these things fall and will like make a chime sound on accident.
So I was not too worried about it, but I was a little wary.
I was like, that's a little weird.
I think everything's probably fine, but that was a little weird.
I go up to my bedroom, which is on the top floor of my home.
And I start putting my toilet paper away.
And running into the bathroom comes my cat, Declan.
Declan has a very fluffed up tail as though he's very scared.
This worried me. He does get his tail fluffed up every once in a while, him and my other cat, Frankie, will play, but they weren't playing with each other.
So it was very weird.
And the way that he ran into my bathroom with this look of terror on his, I just have never seen him look so scared.
I was very, very concerned.
I walk out of the bathroom and I see my other cat, Frankie, looking over, there's like a little ledge at the top of the staircase to my bedroom that like looks down on the dining room and whatever in the living room.
And she was looking over that and looked terrified.
Her tail also fluffed up.
I was like, uh -uh, no.
So I armed my house.
I turned on the alarm.
So if any window opens, door opens, anything happens, I'll know.
And in the meantime, I lock myself in my closet.
A few minutes later, the alarm goes off.
That means a door or a window has been opened.
I lose my fucking mind, okay?
I'm in my closet. I'm in a safe place, as safe as it can get in my house, anyway, but I'm freaking the fuck out.
So I hide. I am sobbing.
I call the police the whole nine yards.
The police fucking show up.
It's like a whole ordeal.
No one was in my house.
How did that alarm go off?
We had my security guy who helps with, you know, all my different sensors and alarms.
And they said, oh, we had him come.
And he's like, honestly, I don't know how this happened.
Because we figured out which alarm had faulted, had like gone off on accident.
And he was like, this is very weird.
And I mean, I have a really advanced security system.
Like this shit does not happen.
And so I think it was the ghost.
He was like, honestly, I can't explain how this happened.
I can't explain how this alarm went off on accident.
This shit just like doesn't happen.
It was just so weird.
It was so weird. The cats were scared.
The alarm went off.
It felt like I was being pranked.
It felt like I was being pranked.
And it was like, oh my God.
And then the other thing that happened, I forgot about my cameras.
I have like security cameras.
The security cameras stopped fucking working on my phone and on the little security panel that I have in my class.
Like nothing was working.
It was crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy.
It felt like a prank.
And I really do think that that was the ghost that pranked me.
Now to the ghost, if you're listening in my house, again, you're welcome here.
You can live here, okay?
But no more funny business.
And I know that I'm fucking talking about it on my podcast, which makes you probably think that you can prank me again.
No, you can't, enough.
We're not doing that anymore, okay?
Go to like Brad Pitt's house or something.
Don't fuck with me.
Okay, no hate against Brad Pitt, honestly.
He's probably an awesome guy.
I don't know. But yeah, just don't do that to me.
Do that to someone else who deserves it.
Those are like my completely mid paranormal ghost stories.
I mean, the last one's pretty good, but like it's not great.
You know what I mean?
But I really do think that if there is some sort of spirit out there, if there is paranormal stuff that it obviously doesn't want to be found out because otherwise we'd know about it.
And so I don't know.
Like I could come up with conspiracies about all of these things.
Like obviously the last story I just told, it's a little boy ghost in my house when my dad knocked on the window.
That could have been like some sort of shape -shifting ghost or angel or demon, or I don't know.
Like, you know, I could have seen some sort of fucking Loch Ness monster tail under the sand on the beach.
You know, that girl could be a reptilian for fuck's sake.
I don't know, but I'll never know for sure probably.
And that's okay with me.
I'm not opposed to the idea of ghosts or like our spirits, you know, continuing on.
I actually think the idea of reincarnation is beautiful.
I actually think there's a lot of things about that that are really comforting to me.
So like, I'm not opposed to ghosts or, you know, certain paranormal things.
I'd like to believe that some of that stuff does exist.
I'm okay with not understanding it, but I don't hate the idea of a certain level of paranormal stuff.
Some people probably think the concept of God is paranormal in a way it is.
Honestly, deep down, I hope that there is some level of paranormal, positive paranormal though, you know, like not like demons and stuff like that.
I don't love that idea.
I'm not like excited about that, but like guardian angels, ghosts of our loved ones who can send messages to us to remind us that they love us.
I love all of that.
I'm very open -minded when it comes to, you know, spiritual belief and stuff.
I don't feel comfortable saying that anything is 100 % true or 100 % false because we don't really know for sure because we can only comprehend so much.
And even scientists change their minds every once in a while or prove themselves wrong.
And I like to believe that there's stuff happening that we can't understand.
I actually find comfort in it.
I don't know. I don't hate the idea of it being somewhat real.
I hope it is, to be honest.
I would love that. You know what I mean?
I would fucking love that.
That's a beautiful like thing to hope for, right?
Like the fact that like, I don't know, there's some sort of like God or something who protects us.
Our loved ones, the spirits of our loved ones are energetically forever around us.
Sending love to us.
Like, come on, I love that.
I'm gonna be stoked about that.
