Wayfair, every style, every home it's a lot harder to do this in the summer because I need to blast the AC.
But if I do that, it's too loud.
So I'm taking one for the team right now.
But if you are new here, I started this podcast at the very beginning of 2022, which is insane to say that out loud, because it's been three and a half years of doing this and doing this full time.
The idea of starting a podcast came from me listening to mindset, magic and manifestation by Michaela J, which if you haven't listened to her podcast, you definitely should.
She's incredible. She's so smart.
She's so funny. She's so inspiring.
But I would listen to her podcast every single Friday on my way to work.
And it really changed the way that I view myself and the way that I view the world.
And from listening to her podcast, I learned how to manifest and how to take action to bring the things that I want into my reality.
Learning how to manifest the the things that I want changed my entire life.
I went from working in an elementary school as a behavioral special education paraprofessional with little to no money, like every single penny was going towards rent and bills, living in a tiny like 700 to 900 square feet apartment.
I don't even know. It was small, little shoebox with really no friends, just so unhappy to doing social media and doing this podcast full time, being able to make a living from it, buying my first house, surrounded by so many people that I love, and I love my life.
I am finally so happy, so fulfilled, and so grateful.
I remember before I found Mikaela's podcast and before I started applying what I learned to my life, I was a really negative person.
I was one of those people that would look at other people doing well and write it off as they're lucky or it was handed to them.
I couldn't understand why things were so hard for me or why things never worked out for me but it would work out so easy for other people.
But the hard truth was I wasn't putting in the work.
I wasn't deserving of the things that I wanted because I wasn't doing anything to make them work it's like wondering why a relationship isn't functioning or isn't healthy but you stop putting an effort and showing your partner love like obviously it's not going to work if you don't try when i learned about manifestation and how to manifest that's when things changed for the better people think that manifestation is this big thing but it doesn't have to be yes it takes motivation motivation, dedication, and a lot of patience.
But like I always say, the time will pass anyways.
So wouldn't you rather take the time working on things that matter to you and build the life that you want than be stuck living a life that's unfulfilling or living a life where you blame everyone around you for things not working out for you.
So in today's episode, I want to break down manifestation, what it is, how it works, and how you can apply it to your own life to get the the things that you want.
Think of this episode as manifestation for dummies or for beginners.
We don't need to overcomplicate it.
Getting what you want doesn't have to be so hard. So with that being said, let's get into today's episode.
To start off, let's be clear about what is and what isn't manifestation.
Manifestation is not solely magic.
There's magic to it.
There's no denying that like i said it literally changed my life miracles can happen with manifestation but it's not just wishing and waiting for something to happen it's not being delusional and thinking everything works out in your favor on its own it's that paired with taking aligned action to bring whatever it is that you want into your reality this episode is sponsored by graza now that it's summer and i just moved into my new house i've been doing a lot of hosting i love having my friends and family over and having a meal with them and one thing that I've been loving to help me cook and add
more flavor to my meals is Graza.
Graza is my favorite olive oil.
It comes in this super cool squeeze bottle which I think is so unique like I've never seen any other company do that.
It makes cooking so easy and I don't make a mess.
They have frizzle, sizzle, and drizzle.
Frizzle is meant for more hardcore cooking like grilling or frying.
Sizzle is for everyday cooking think marinating or roasting and then drizzle is just quick and easy olive oil to add to salads or dip your bread in I truly use graza every day like I said I love having people over and we've been using frizzle a lot to grill I use drizzle pretty much on everything like popcorn salads especially bread I love adding drizzle to avocado toast and right now you can get 10 % off your first order on graza's site so head to graza .co and use tntc to get 10 % off the trio which includes sizzle frizzle and drizzle and get to cooking your next chef quality meal.
So to anyone who might struggle with the idea of manifestation maybe you're someone who hears other people talking about it or your girlfriend really loves manifesting and crystals and all the fun witchy stuff so you're like it's not real manifesting doesn't do anything it's a waste of time I don't believe in it.
I want you to hear me out manifesting isn't just for girls and manifesting isn't just for people who are spiritual.
It's for anyone who wants to change their life and live more intentionally.
I get not understanding manifestation because you don't believe in magic.
My fiance is a mechanical engineer.
He leads by logic. He needs to know the ins and outs of things to understand them.
I get needing things to be so logical for you to be on board. So if that's you, I want you to try to understand manifestation, not from a place of of magic, but from a place of mindset.
When you focus on something, your brain filters the world around you differently and you end up noticing changes and you're able to act on them.
For example, when you develop a crush, you might have known this person forever and thought nothing of them.
You could have spent every single day with them at work and they didn't affect you or your thoughts or your day -to -day life whatsoever.
But one day you wake up and you're like, wait a minute, it, they're kind of cute.
They're kind of cute.
So you start paying attention to them.
You start pursuing them.
You spark up conversations with them.
You buy them coffee in the morning.
You start complimenting them.
You start dressing nicer and wearing cologne or perfume in hopes they notice you.
All of a sudden, a person that you rarely interact with is now showing attention in you.
And a connection forms because you started to focus on them and act on it.
Those are our intentions, and aligned action that give you what you want.
You're doing the same thing with manifestation.
It's literally manifestation.
It's your desires paired with action.
Manifesting is the idea that your thoughts, your beliefs, and your energy can bring things into your life.
You don't just get what you ask for.
You don't say, I want to be famous, and then boom, you're famous.
It's that match with action to get it.
We're going to run through all the steps of manifestation so that that you know how to and that you can apply it to your life and get what you want.
So the first thing that you're going to do is decide what you want and be super specific and intentional about it.
Make sure you're not only being explicit, but the focus is on what you want and not what you don't want.
I did an entire episode about this like two episodes ago talking about being intentional with your words and making sure that you're speaking about what you want and not what you don't want.
So don't say, I don't want to be poor anymore.
Instead, say, I want a flexible job that pays me well or pays me x amount of money or I want to make money by having my own company that sells x, y, and z.
Being super specific with what you want and having all the details is what's going to make it so much easier for you to actually get what you want because you're going to be able to visualize it.
Instead of saying, I want to be happy, what's going to make you happy?
Saying, I just want to be happy is too vague.
Maybe it's, I want to have a healthy, loving relationship.
I want to have a big group of friends who share the same values as me and we hang out all the time and they support me.
Or I want to buy a big house, a big yellow house with a white porch with so much land.
Be super specific with it.
It's like making a wish list when you were a kid for Christmas.
You wouldn't just say, I want a toy.
I want a doll. You would say, I want this very specific American girl doll.
Or you'd get those catalogs with all the toys and you wouldn't just say, I don't care.
I just want a toy. you would circle the toys that you wanted because you wanted to make sure that you got what you actually wanted.
The second thing that you're going to do is visualize it.
Sit down and think about what your life would look like if you got what you wanted and not only what it would look like, what it would feel like.
What would it feel like if you were to get a text message right now saying a million dollars was transferred into your bank account or you got that job promotion or or your best friend's moving to the same town as you.
How would that feel?
Tap into that emotion because when you feel it, it becomes real.
Something that a lot of people do is they make a mood board or a vision board, especially on Pinterest, and what you do is you take a bunch of photos of things that you want.
Some people choose photos of houses, cars, clothes, destinations, achievements, wedding rings, schools.
You can choose affirmations or words that empower you.
whatever it is whatever you want to have or what you want to embody and you compile all of that into a board and you use that board to look at it to remind you of what you're working towards and to elicit certain emotions how would it feel if all of those things on that board came true my favorite thing to do is think about what I want before I go to bed because that's the point of my day where I have the most time to dedicate to my thoughts I would rather lay down and think about all the things that I want and all the things I want to attract rather than things that went wrong in the day or the things
that I'm worrying about because that's usually the time when those thoughts creep in this is uninterrupted time to really get real about what I want and what I'm working towards and just think about it and have fun with it so many of us make up these fake scenarios in our head to drift off to sleep why not make a scenario of your life of a life that you want to have. The third thing that you're going to do is believe whatever it is that you want is possible.
You need to believe that it's going to happen regardless of when it happens or how it's going to happen.
You need to know that you're capable and you're ready because if you have doubts or you let self -limiting beliefs creep in, it won't happen.
You can't make something happen if you're doubting it, even if it's possible.
If you're doubting that you're capable, it's not going to happen.
You're not going to do it.
And it's not that you're lacking anything, thing it's just you're literally getting in the way and blocking yourself from seeing this thing through for example crossing a bridge you're not going to cross that bridge if you don't truly believe that you can make it over and that everything's going to be fine if you keep telling yourself well if I walk on that bridge it's going to collapse I'm going to be unsafe and I'm going to get hurt and I'm not going to make it there well duh you're not going to make it there if you're scared and you're not allowing yourself to try you're thinking all these
things when reality the bridge is super safe and all you have to do is just walk over it, you're literally the only obstacle.
You're literally the only thing holding yourself back from getting over the bridge.
The only way to get over that bridge is to believe in yourself that you can do it and the only way to get what you want is to believe that you can have it.
The fourth thing that you're going to do is speak it into existence.
Make it real. That can look like saying affirmations and positive self -talk or talking about it in your everyday life to your friends or to your online community.
Talk about your plans as if they're already happening, just the way that you would if you had plans with your friends next weekend.
Talk about it as if it's concrete and coming.
For example, if you're working on something like growing on social media, when you talk about it, don't say, yeah, I've been doing this thing, but I don't really know if it's going to work out.
you know i really want it to work out but i don't know instead say i'm in the process of growing on social media i've been making videos i've been doing things behind the scenes it's so exciting like i can't wait until i hit 100k there is no oh well i might hit 100k if i'm lucky no you are hitting 100k it's coming if you don't feel super comfortable talking out loud to people which i totally understand i think sometimes it is good to keep things to yourself if you're afraid that people might interfere with it i've definitely been there and i felt that way a million times but if you don't feel
comfortable talking to people about it write it down write it in your journal try some scripting journaling scripting journaling basically is a way of writing where you write about your future as if it's already happened you write about the things that you want is if you've already gotten them.
So when I was in the process of building my podcasting community and I was manifesting x amount of followers on you know social media or with this podcast I would write in my journal as if it already happened.
I would write things like today was so incredible I woke up and I checked my analytics and I had a hundred thousand listeners or I woke up and I checked the charts on Spotify and I was charting number one and I would write it as if I I was living in that exact moment as if I sat down that morning and this is everything that's going on in my life right now.
And when you do that, it feels much more realistic.
It doesn't feel so far away or unreachable.
It's kind of like cosplaying, but your mind doesn't know that.
So it does feel as if the moment you're speaking of is real.
Also, when you do this, you're less likely to write about things that you don't want or things that you don't like.
You're writing about your ideal life.
So the typical things in your everyday life that annoy you or you don't love aren't going to make it into that journal entry, keeping your focus on what you're trying to manifest. The fifth thing that you're going to do, and I think the most important thing that you're going to do, is take action.
You need to do the work.
You can't just ask for it and expect it to happen.
I know so many of us have heard about lucky girl syndrome and so many people believe that if they just think positively positively and they are delusional and they think everything's working out for them that everything is going to work out for them that's not always the case obviously that plays a part in it mindset is such a huge part but you also need to do the work I was listening to mindset magic and manifestation and Michaela said manifestation without action is just a mood board it's fine to sit around and dream of your perfect life and think about how incredible things would be if your
your life looked a certain way.
It's so fun to imagine a world where you have your dream job, or the you have that perfect relationship where you move to your dream city.
But what's even more fun is getting to actually experience those things in real life, you need to take aligned action.
And aligned action is actions that align with your goals and your values and your intentions.
For example, if you want to get into law school, and you have to decide between going out on a weekday and getting messed up with your friends or staying in and studying for an exam, which action is going to move you closer to your goal?
Obviously, staying in and studying.
Sometimes the steps that you need to take are steps that you don't want to take and it can be really frustrating and exhausting and boring and you might miss out on some things like going out with your friends, but the payoff is worth it.
It's at least worth it if you're going after something that you you actually want.
If you want a job, apply for it.
If you want to meet new people, put yourself out there.
If you want to be more confident, put yourself in situations that make you uncomfortable but push you to try harder.
If you want that thing to work, I'm going to hold your hand and say this, you need to work.
You need to understand your desires and what steps it takes to get them and then follow those steps.
And then lastly, the sixth thing that you're going to do is let go and and trust that it's going to work out, or trust that it's going to happen.
Don't obsess about when it's going to happen or how it's going to happen.
Just know it's on the way and stay aligned with it.
Be open to all of the signs and all the opportunities.
Just because your manifestation doesn't happen in a couple days or a month or even a year, doesn't mean it's not going to happen.
It just means it hasn't happened yet.
Don't let a timeline make you start doubting yourself or doubting the process because once you let the doubt creep in and you start telling yourself that it's too late or it's not going to work or it's not going to happen, that's when things come crashing down and it doesn't happen.
I've told this story a million times on this podcast, so if you've heard it before, sit tight.
You're going to hear it again, but in July of 2022, I was doubting trying not to care so much. At this point in my journey, I wasn't seeing much attraction.
I had been doing it since January and not many people were listening and I felt like all my hard work was for nothing.
I had my fiance in my ear pretty much throughout the entire time telling me like it's gonna work out.
People are gonna listen.
People are gonna find it.
It's gonna be such a hit.
Your podcast is actually good.
Like keep going but when I got to July I was like if that's true why hasn't it happened yet?
Like I've recorded so many episodes and and people aren't interested, what am I doing wrong?
When is it going to happen for me?
I was doubting myself hardcore.
But then I did my best to get out of my head, and I reminded myself why I started the podcast in the first place, which was for myself and for other people who felt like me, who felt alone, who felt misunderstood, who felt confused in their 20s, for those people to have a safe space.
So I kindly told myself to shut up, and I gave myself another chance and that's when I posted a tiktok promoting the podcast and from that tiktok it blew up and the podcast ended up charting number one on apple on spotify pretty much everywhere I can't even sit here and lie it felt so damn good especially because I passed out Andrew Tate that's when his podcast was like booming and I was like hell yeah let's let's please pass out this misogynistic awful person it felt it was an incredible feeling can't can't even lie it was truly the most surreal experience ever I felt like I was literally scripting
but I wouldn't have had that experience if I had given up or if I lost faith in the process just because it wasn't happening in x amount of time a lot of people like giving themselves a timeline or they like giving their manifestations a timeline because it holds them accountable to see things through and not let it get pushed to the back burner.
I, I get that, but I don't personally love timelines because it can be discouraging when you get to that time and it still hasn't happened.
I just think that if something is meant for you, it's going to find you regardless of when.
So I don't think you need a timeline.
And if you think it's not going to be beneficial for you, then don't, don't let it get in your head just because it's not happening as quickly as you you wanted when you're manifesting you need to truly believe that that manifestation is on the way don't doubt it for a second like when you order pizza for example when you order a pizza obviously you would love for it to be delivered to you the second that you hit purchase but it takes time someone's chefing it up there's other things that get in the way and delay the process of the pizza getting to you but you never doubt that the pizza is coming
you know you ordered it you know that you deserve it the pizza is coming just because the pizza takes longer than you you expected to get to you doesn't mean that it's not coming.
You know it's coming.
It's the same thing with your manifestations.
If you did your homework, if you stay open to all the signs and all the opportunities and you take a line to action, your manifestation will come true.
I want to end this episode with a quick little manifestation exercise to help you call in a manifestation of yours.
It can be a connection that you want like a relationship or a friendship.
It can be a goal like getting a certain job or being promoted or buying a house, whatever it is that you're currently working on.
If you want to do this with me right now, that's great.
If you don't have the time right now, or you just want to come back to this episode when you think it would be more beneficial for you, or you're more sure of something that you want to manifest, also great.
But let's just do this.
So first, I want you to close your eyes if you're sitting or laying down, if you're driving or walking or just not in the position right now to close your eyes please don't please don't just try to be as present as you can now i want you to picture one thing that you want right now don't think of a million things that you're working on i know so many of us have so many goals and we want to manifest everything we want everything to happen right now but think of one thing it could be that new job it could be being financially stable it could be a healthy a relationship with a loved one, or maybe just
a better relationship with yourself.
Like I was saying before, be specific, be intentional with what you want.
Don't just think I want to be happy.
Think what's going to make me happy?
What's one thing right now that's going to make me happy?
What do I want? Once you pick one thing, visualize it.
Where are Are you? Did you move somewhere new?
Are you in a new location for work?
Where do you spend most of your day?
Who are you with? Do you have the same friends?
Do you have new friends, a new partner, co -workers?
What do those people look like?
What do you look like?
What kind of clothing are you wearing what does your hair and makeup look like do you look healthy do you look happy I mean how do you feel do you feel more confident do you feel more secure just really think about it and visualize it do your best to visualize everything visualize it as if you're watching a movie of your day what does your daily routine look like and what does it feel like after you you visualize this, and you have some type of emotion connected to it, whether that's happy or excited or grateful, you're going to lock it in with these affirmations.
Or if you don't like these affirmations, you can choose your own and say your own back to you.
But these are a few that have helped me and I think are very helpful when you're trying to manifest. So you're going to say, what's meant for me will not pass me.
I take action deeply knowing that it will all work out.
I am patient and I take aligned action as divine timing unfolds in my favor.
Right now, I choose one small change to bring me closer to my dream life.
I see results over time.
I am patient and what I want wants me more.
Say those as many times as you need.
Replay them, write them down, whatever is easiest for you.
I like to say my affirmations like three times just to really lock it in.
And then to finish it off, I want you to take one really big deep breath in and blow it out.
As if you're blowing away any self limiting beliefs or doubt that you may have. Like I said, just remember that it's on the way and it will come to fruition as long as you do your part and you stay aligned with your goals and you stay ready for any opportunities as they come to you whenever they do come to you but that's where I'm going to end today's episode I hope you enjoyed it I hope that it helped you if you're in the process of manifesting or you're trying to understand it better if you're trying to work towards something or maybe you're just someone who didn't really understand manifestation and you
listen to today's episode you're like oh okay that makes sense like it's literally just goal setting and taking action to reach your goals it doesn't have to be that hard to get what you want So I hope that this episode helps you and encourages you to go after what you want and take it seriously and do your part to bring the things that you want closer to you.
If you liked today's episode, I would love if you shared it with a friend, if you gave it a review, if you're on Spotify, I would love for you to leave a comment letting me know what you're currently working towards right now and what you want to manifest to bring into your life.
