It's imagination time with Katie. Hi there!
You're listening to Super Simple Imagination Time with Katie!
This episode is inspired by the super simple song, Little Snowflake.
Hello, hello, it's good to be with you my friend I'm glad we're together again We got Zach on the keys Katie singing, la la la la la We'll have some fun in our imagination Go on adventures again and again Hello, it's good to be with you, my friend.
Hello, hello, and welcome to Imagination Time.
I'm your host Katie and our friend Zack is here too.
Hello, hello. Zack is playing the piano.
And today, I'm going to take us on a playful imagination adventure in the snow.
Snow is cold and fluffy. And comes from snowflakes that fall from the clouds and covers everything in layers of white snow.
It's beautiful. But before we get started on our beautiful imagination adventure, let's take a little time now to get into our imagination.
We'll create some space in our minds for all that snow and we'll get nice and relaxed so we can see those snowflakes fall down even with our eyes closed.
Are you ready, Zach? Ready, Katie? Are you ready, friends?
Let's take a deep breath altogether. In one, two, three, hold it Out three, two, one Let's listen to the sounds around us.
Can you hear Zach playing the piano? I can hear it.
It kind of sounds like... falling snowflakes.
Let's imagine a snowy chill moving from the tops of our heads all the way down.
To the tips of our toes. Let's close our eyes and take another deep breath.
In one, two, three, hold it Out three, two, one We're ready for our imagination adventure.
Snowflakes, snowflake Little, snowflake Little, snowflake Falling from the sky Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling.
Falling on the ground. Let's pretend to look out a window together.
Can you see the snowflakes falling down?
I can imagine they're falling from way up high and floating down to the ground.
There's a lot of them. The snow is covering everything in white.
Can you see all that white snow in your mind?
It looks like it would be a lot of fun to play in.
How about we go outside and play in the snow?
It looks cold out there. Yes, it probably is pretty chilly, but if we put on our boots, coat, hat, and gloves, then we'll be nice and warm.
Let's get ready! Getting ready, ready, ready, ready, ready, ready, ready, ready, ready, ready, ready to go!
Put on your boots! Put on your coat. Put on your hat.
Don't forget your gloves. Now! We're ready, ready, ready, we're ready, ready, ready to go outside.
We're ready! Let's pretend to open the door and go out into the snow.
Come on! Whoa, the snow is so beautiful and bright.
I can imagine it crunching under my boots.
Can you pretend to crunch the snow with your feet?
Crunch, crunch, crunch. Let's pretend to pick up some snow with our gloves.
We can squish it in our hands. Squish, squish.
Let's throw some snow up high in the sky.
We'll gather some in our hands and toss it up in one, two, three, toss!
The snow falls back down around us, just like when it snows.
It is cold out here. I am glad we have our coats to keep us warm.
I can still feel a little chill in the air though.
How does the air feel against your skin?
Let's play together to keep warm. But what should we play?
Any ideas? Hmm. Hmm. Thinking of thought.
Hmm. Thinking of thought. We need an idea Let's work with what we've got Hey, let's make a snowman.
Yeah, we got lots of snow. I love that idea.
Okay, let's pretend to roll a big ball of snow in our minds.
I can see it rolling around and around. Getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
And bigger! Whoa! This is the biggest snowball I have ever seen.
How about you? Have you ever seen a bigger snowball?
Well, this snowball can be a part of our snowman's body.
Let's make another one, a little smaller this time.
Ready to roll? You can imagine the snow rolling round and round, getting bigger and bigger.
Oh, but not too big this time. That'll do.
And we'll carefully place it on top. Carefully, carefully.
There. Okay, we need one more small snowball for our snowman's head.
Let's roll, roll, roll. Making a nice round ball of snow.
And with a snowball, it's great! It goes on top of the other two.
Let's put it up there. Careful? Oh no! This snowball fell.
Oh, this is awful. No. That'll sound like some big feelings, Katie.
Yeah. When I'm feeling big feelings I stop and see How the big feelings are feeling in me.
I feel sad. Our snowman is broken. Well, we can try again, Katie.
Yeah, you're right. We can always make another snowball.
When you wanna give up, try again Keep on trying, keep on trying Okay, let's try again.
We'll roll another snowball. Imagine it going round and round.
That's it. Okay, and we'll so carefully put it on top.
We can do it. Steady now? There. Oh, let's take a look at our snowman.
Can you see the snowman we made in your mind?
I'm a little snowman, look at me. These are my buttons, one, two, three.
These are my eyes and this is my nose. I wear a hat and scarf.
It's cold. I'm imagining my snowman has a fancy top hat.
What kind of hat is your snowman wearing?
Maybe it's wearing a birthday hat. Happy birthday, snowman.
My snowman is wearing a cowboy hat. Oh. Howdy snow boy.
Oh. I see white specks of snow on my snowman's hat.
That's because it's starting to snow again.
The snowflakes are falling down and landing on the snowman's head, on my head too.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, Falling on my head.
Let's pretend to catch a snowflake on our tongue.
Let's look up. and imagine lots of little snowflakes falling towards us.
Open your mouth wide and stick out your tongue!
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow Falling on my tongue.
Oh, the snowflakes feel cold and refreshing on my tongue.
How does it feel when you catch a snowflake?
I wonder what it would feel like to be a snowflake.
Can we imagine that? You can be anything when you're imagining Anything you want to be, imagine with me Let's imagine we're little flakes of snow so so small.
We're inside a fluffy cloud waiting to fall.
Oh, it's cold in this cloud, isn't it? When it's our turn, we'll leave the cloud and float down towards the ground.
We're floating on the wind, blowing this way And that way, tumbling and turning Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling We'll keep floating and falling until we land on a blanket of snow with the rest of our snowflake friends.
We can look up to the clouds that we came from.
What a journey we had. I am feeling a bit colder now.
How does your body feel after pretending to be a snowflake?
I feel gold! The snow is very cold. Well, our imagination journey is almost done for today, so we can pretend we're warm and cozy back inside by the window, looking out at the snow.
Oh, my body feels warm and cozy already.
And I can still see the snowflakes falling outside from way up high in the clouds down to the ground.
Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake, little snowflake Falling from the sky Snowflakes, snowflake Little snowflake Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling, falling.
Falling on the ground This has been a beautiful, cold, and cozy imagination adventure.
