Hey, JJ, want to hear a story?
Yes, I do.
Can I please help tell it too?
Yes, listen close.
Let's imagine and rhyme.
It's Coco Melon Storytime!
JJ had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb.
Aw, are you singing to your lamb, Stuffy JJ?
Yeah, Daddy, and she's singing too.
Everywhere that JJ went, the lamb was sure to go.
Where's your lamb going to follow you?
Hmm, I don't know.
Where do you want to go, little lamb?
Hmm, you just reminded me of a story called Little Lamb's the Leader.
Mary had a little lamb.
Little lamb, little lamb.
And everywhere that Mary went, the lamb was sure to go.
But one day, the little lamb decided he wanted to have a turn being the leader.
So instead of following Mary, Mary will follow the little lamb?
Exactly.
And Mary loved the idea.
But suddenly, the school bell rang.
Mary told her little lamb he could be the leader today as long as he got her to school on time.
The lamb said, but he didn't want to lead Mary to school yet.
I'm the leader, so it's up to me to take you someplace cool to see.
And instead of school, the little lamb decided to lead Mary to the big flowing waterfall.
Mary followed her little lamb through the meadow, and when little lamb hopped across the rocks...
Mary hopped across the rocks too.
Hop, hop, hop.
The big waterfall flowed.
Mary smiled and said, Wow, Little Lamb, this is really cool.
Now are you going to lead me to school?
But the Little Lamb just started his turn being the leader.
He didn't want to lead Mary to school yet.
I think we have time to go somewhere else first, he thought.
I'm the leader, so it's up to me to take you someplace cool to see.
And so the little lamb led Mary to the... Train station.
Yes, little lamb loved waving to the choo-choo trains as they passed.
Chugga-chugga-choo-choo.
Hello.
Bye-bye.
Mary smiled and waved too.
She said...
Wow, Little Lamb, this is really cool.
Now are you going to lead me to school?
Little Lamb knew they didn't have much time left before school started.
But he really wanted to take Mary to hear the singing frogs.
Singing frogs?
Yep.
But to get to the singing frogs they had to walk across a slippery log and make it through a muddy bog.
I don't know, Little Lamb.
The singing frogs do sound cool, but shouldn't you lead me to school?
Little Lamb glanced across the meadow at Mary's school and saw they still had a little more time.
I'm the leader, so it's up to me to take you someplace cool to see.
Little Lamb clopped his hooves across the slippery log.
But Mary didn't have hooves, so she couldn't cross as quickly.
Mary nearly slipped off the log, but she made it across to the muddy bog.
Good job, Mary!
The muddy bog was this great big swamp.
Mary and her little lamb could hear the water trickling and the crickets chirping.
Little lamb used his hooves to trudge through the muddy water.
But mary didn't have hooves, that's right, jj.
So it took her a lot longer to make it through.
But then she heard a beautiful sound.
Welcome to our maddie the singing frogs.
Yep, little lamb saw mary smile and he felt great.
Mary thought these frogs were so cool.
She completely forgot about getting to school.
Clap and stomp to the singing frogs.
Mary and her little lamb clapped their hands.
Clap, clap, clap.
But when Mary tried to stomp her feet, she realized they were stuck in the mud.
And to make things worse, the school bell rang.
Mary was going to be late to school.
Oh no!
The little lamb felt bad.
He cared so much about showing Mary cool places to see, he forgot the most important part of being a leader.
I'm the leader, so it's up to me to take you where you need to be.
So what did the little lamb do?
Well, he knew he needed a real quick fix, so he looked around and spotted some sticks.
Hey, singing frogs, can you please grab those sticks and pry Mary's shoes out of this mud?
Little lambs, the leader, so we'll do as you say.
And the frogs used the sticks to save the day.
They got Mary out.
Yep.
Then Mary followed Little Lamb all the way to school.
And you know what?
What?
She made it there on time.
Wow!
The Little Lamb told Mary he'd better go back to following her.
But Mary told her Little Lamb he ended up being a great leader.
Because he told the singing frogs how to get Mary out of the bog.
Exactly.
Well done, Little Lamb.
The end.
We heard a story.
Yes, it's true.
And I helped tell it, too.
We listened, imagined, and made some rhymes for Cocomelon Storytime.
