Hey, from CNN, I'm Afoma Dekay with the five things you need to know for Friday, May 15th.
As President Donald Trump flies back to the US after meeting with his Chinese counterpart in Beijing, the State Department in Washington secured a 45-day ceasefire extension between Lebanon and Israel.
The truce takes effect on Sunday, the same day it was set to expire.
The State Department hosted the talks with one official describing the atmosphere as quote Despite the ceasefire, Israel and Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah have repeated cross-border exchanges.
Meanwhile, in Gaza, Israel carried out a strike targeting Hamas' most senior military leader amid a fragile ceasefire in the enclave.
That's according to a joint statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz.
They say Izaldin al-Haddad was one of the architects behind the October 7th attacks and behind holding hostages afterward.
Emergency services in Gaza say Israel hit a residential building near Gaza City today.
They say the strikes killed at least seven people, with more than 50 others injured.
Hamas did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
CNN is unable to independently confirm whether al-Haddad was killed in the strike.
More news coming up, including the status of a hashtag MeToo era case with Harvey Weinstein.
Today, Harvey Weinstein's rape retrial ended in a mistrial with a hung jury.
While the former Hollywood mogul has been convicted of other sex crimes on two US coasts and remains behind bars, the mistrial leaves the New York rape charge in limbo after three trials.
The jury had been deliberating for three days about whether Weinstein raped hairstylist and actor Jessica Mann in 2013, when Weinstein was married.
Weinstein didn't testify, but his lawyers argued the encounter was consensual.
In the past, Weinstein has said he, quote, acted wrongly but never assaulted anyone.
A hearing was set for June 24th to learn whether prosecutors will choose to go to a fourth trial.
Federal authorities have arrested and charged an Iraqi national and military commander with coordinating and planning at least 18 terrorist attacks in Europe that targeted Americans and Jews to end the war in Iran.
That's according to a federal criminal complaint.
He was ordered to be held without bail.
Prosecutors allege the man also coordinated two more attacks in Canada and attempted to coordinate attacks in the US, including in New York City.
Officials haven't said how or when he was arrested, but flight records show he may have been apprehended in Turkey this week and flown to New York City.
According to the complaint, he was planning to bomb a prominent Jewish synagogue there and thought he was speaking to a Mexican cartel member, who was in fact an undercover agent.
A new Ebola outbreak has been confirmed in a remote Congo province.
Infectious disease expert and epidemiologist Dr. Ravina Kullar breaks it down.
There have been about 250 suspected cases, about 65 deaths thus far.
And I think the reason why there's likely higher cases this time is that so far, it looks like the specific strain that this outbreak is linked to is a non-zare strain.
The current vaccine only targets this zare strain.
This is the 17th outbreak.
Ebola is a very contagious virus.
And it's very deadly, about a 50% mortality rate.
An individual that presents with Ebola.
They're going to have fever, they're going to have diarrhea, vomiting.
And something that's very characteristic of this virus too, is that there's also internal and external bleeding that an individual might get.
Coming up, tragedy in a vacation hotspot.

That's all for now.
Tune in tomorrow for a new episode of 5 Good Things.
I'm CNN tech reporter Claire Duffy.
This week on the podcast, Terms of Service.
What do we know about how much AI is contributing to energy consumption, energy demand right now?
And how does that compare with other industries?
The best resource for that is the International Energy Agency, which is sort of the global energy think tank that collects data on all of this.
And what they predict is that about 8 of the additional electricity that we're going to need by 2030 that will be for data centers.
The other 92% is for other things, industry electrification, electric vehicles, solar.
And AI is really only driving part of that increase in demand.
