Da Nang.
The place I've called home for the past two years.
But recently I feel like I've taken it for granted.
The white sandy beaches, the bustling city, the lush green mountains.
So today, We're adventuring around and picking up some new English.
So let's go.
The first word of the day is jungle.
That is thick, dense jungle.
Up there at the top of the mountain is the peak or the summit.
Following the mountain along the top edge, we call that the ridge.
The ridge of the mountain.
Nice one!
This is a roadside mirror.
Hello!
Monkey!
The monkey is carrying a bag of prawn crackers.
This monkey is eating an orange.
Over there on the power cables there are loads of monkeys.
Man is feeding the monkeys.
Do you reckon we could get down there, or should we try a road?
Let's go.
I think we can go down here.
You know, never been down this road.
Let's see.
All right, never been down here.
Before we're walking down a trail.
This is known as like a path or a trail.
We found the ocean.
Oh, look at this flower.
This is a hibiscus flower, beautiful pink hibiscus.
Now let's go run on the rocks Way.
Behind me.
Over there is the Nang skyline.
You can see the cityscape, high rise buildings.
It's a slightly hazy day.
You can see the clouds above the mountains in the distance.
The ocean is really calm today.
It's very chill.
And if you want to get a visual on this, I can teach it over here.
This big mother flipper is a boulder.
A giant rock is a boulder.
I'm looking out to the ocean.
There are many people in the ocean with paddle boards and they have this awe which they are rowing with.
They're all chilling on the paddle boards and that's going to be a future video.
We are definitely going to do that in the future because it looks sick.
All right, let's go here.
I'm holding different size rocks or stones.
This you would call a rock, medium size, a rock or a stone.
This smaller one is a pebble.
So above me is a tree.
The top layer of all the trees where the leaves are is the foliage.
That's the foliage.
I am touching the trunk of a tree.
The trunk.
The skin is the bark.
Moving up the tree, the thick branch here is called the limb.
The limb, just like our arms and legs.
Moving out, as it branches outwards, we have the branches.
And then finally, we have these things.
The twigs. you can snap the twigs.
The twigs are the thin branches at the end of the tree.
This place is like a fairy tale.
I feel like I'm Frodo Baggins.
Who does it make me?
Sam.
Speaking of Sam, I've got a Samwich.
We don't pronounce it Sandwich, we say Samwich.
Right now we're refueling with some banh mi's and some vietnamese coffee.
After this, we're gonna go learn some more english.
This is bigger than my head and it is three two, one jackfruit.
If you guessed that, then you must be from vietnam.
So here, this is a body of water And we'd call this a pond.
In the pond, it's murky.
You can't fully see through the water.
We call that murky.
You can see some koi fish swimming in the pond.
There is also a little turtle in there.
Quick note a turtle is the one that swims through the water and a tortoise is the one that walks on land.
Squirtle, squirtle.
All right, this looks awesome.
So let's go up here.
Right now.
We're walking through these little trails remember the word from earlier, trail and there are lots of rocks, there's grass, there are bushes what the hell is that looks like it could sting me.
I have no idea what that is, but some kind of nasty looking animal with a red warning sign and a stinger on the back.
It's sitting on a fern.
This is a fern, so moving up the trail, following it round.
On the ground, again, these are rocks.
It looks like somebody's put these rocks here, so it's kind of like a man-made trail.
And we're coming up onto a path.
There's the trunk of the tree from earlier with the roots in the ground.
I think someone might live here.
We've got some kind of spooky looking sculptures, someone's drink.
They're probably having a nap right there.
There's a fan.
Anyway, I'll get out of their house.
All right, we found a building with brick walls.
This is a kind of archway around the door.
That's a tree.
That's another boulder.
Let's keep moving down here.
Chang is taking shade on a rock.
What are you doing?
All right.
Yeah, she's squatting.
Squatting.
Film me squatting.
Chang was just resting and squatting.
Now I am squatting.
Squatting with my heels to the floor like all Asian people.
All right.
Let's go.
Yeah, look how awesome this place is, so cool again.
There's a wild chang chilling through the trees, looking happy because she's resting, taking in a beautiful view.
Look at that.
Wow yeah, you can see Da Nang in the distance.
Well hello, this is the hammock and Jesus.
Alright, I'm going to have to get in slowly.
There we go.
Oh wow, this is well chill.
I'm taking off my bag.
Right now I'm chilling in the hammock.
I'm swinging from side to side.
Now we've explored the mountains and the jungle, let's go back to the city.
We went to a complex to get new kicks in.
We've just arrived in the car park.
This is a car park or a parking lot.
In the UK, we say car park.
There is graffiti all around us.
Cool, let's move.
All right, we just crossed over the zebra crossing.
You can see the white lines there.
That's called the zebra crossing.
Is that a pineapple?
It kind of looks like a pineapple.
It's a mini palm tree down here.
This is a bench, and chang is sitting on the bench.
What a beautiful model.
This, all the way down here, is called a promenade.
A public footpath next to the beach is a promenade.
Oh, look at this.
All right, let's get a close-up on this.
This thing that's watering the plants is called a sprinkler a sprinkler, and This is a sculpture of a crab.
There's a sculpture of a snail.
This is a sculpture of a shrimp or a prawn.
And this is a sculpture of... Can you guess it?
Three, two, one.
Octopus.
Nice one.
Hello.
Saying hello to strangers.
Smile at a stranger.
Yeah, this is gorgeous.
Let's get it.
A bottle of wine.
Flowers in flower pots.
This is a shelving unit with shelves.
These are shelves, the same shelves as this one.
Here's a big circular window.
This is a food truck.
Let's keep moving.
Here is the menu for the food truck.
This is a barrel.
Come down here for the barrel, please.
This is a barrel.
These are stools metal stools.
All right.
Should we get some juice?
Thirsty.
This.
Oh yeah, sick.
There's somebody who is parasailing.
He's attached by a cord to a speedboat.
I've just had an idea.
Right now, we're gonna go look for some seashells. to make Chang a necklace.
We've got some pigeons down here.
The pigeons on the beach.
Are they gonna move for me?
Okay, while Chang looks for some seashells, I'm gonna teach a little bit of English.
These are waves.
The waves are crashing.
And the white water on top is called foam.
The waves are now coming in to the shore.
The place where the ocean meets the sand is the shore.
All right, that is a surfboard.
Cool.
So in the background, behind Chang, some giant hotels, and we call them skyscrapers or high rise buildings.
Over there, there are people playing volleyball.
That's a volleyball net and that's a volleyball court.
We found one seashell.
There we go.
Beautiful.
You wanna show the camera close?
Ta-da!
Success!
We found one seashell.
Now I'm hungry.
A rocket up your nose.
Just got a notification.
Gotta read you this comment.
I didn't know vietnam was such a beautiful free country.

We just ordered some more sushi because it's delicious.
After this, we're gonna go to find my family some gifts, because I'm going back to the UK very soon, in about four days.
So, let's go.
Come on.
Word of the day.
Look at this.
So to our left, over the busy road, is the beautiful beach we were at just before lunch.
Miike Beach.
Right, let's go now.
There's the cafe we were at earlier.
Someone up here is flying a kite.
Is that an ice cream shop over there?
Well, i think we've just seen dessert guys, the ice cream shop, crossing the zebra crossing.
You remember this, guys?
Zebra crossing.
Once again, all the traffic is oncoming, so we're gonna have to step out now.
Stick your thumbs up to let them know across the road like a pro.
This is where we're going.
These are scoops of ice cream which I've been eating.
I got mango the yellow one and strawberry the pink one.
It's delicious, it's refreshing.
I'm satisfied.
Now let's go find some gifts.
And the last one of the day souvenir shop.
Let's go find some gifts.
It's funny how we can live somewhere for so long but forget how great it is.
It's only as soon as we change our routine and decide to do something different, we create new experiences.
So this is a note to my future self get outside and experience something new.
That's what life's about.
Got my souvenirs going back to the uk in four days.
So let me know in the comments if there's anywhere you guys want to see.
Any places, as always.
Thank you for watching.
Much love peace, jungle.
At the top of the mountain is the peak or the summit.
