Listen for the sounds Listen listen listen Listen listen listen Hello Hello, Hello.
Listen everyone.
Listen and play.
Where are we today?
We're outside beside a pond.
Today we're near a small pond.
I can see some small creatures in the pond.
Can you tell me what they are?
Listen.
I can see some fish.
Fish.
The fish are swimming in the pond.
Listen and play again.
In the pond I can see a small creature Like a frog.
It's a toad.
Toad.
Toad.
It's a toad.
That's right.
It's a toad.
I think the pond needs a bit of a clean.
I'll need to take some of the slimy weeds out, so I'll need to use one of these.
It's a n-e-t.
N-e-t.
Net.
You can clean a pond with a net.
Swish, swish goes the net.
Now all the fish can happily swim about in the pond again.
There are lots of them.
I wonder if you know this fish song.
It's called 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Once I Caught a Fish Alive.
Join in and sing along with me.
One, two, three, four, five.
Once I caught a fish alive.
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Then I let it go again.
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on the right.
One, two, three, four, five.
Once I caught a crab alive.
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Then I let it go again.
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on the right.
One, two, three, four, five.
Once I caught an eel alive.
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Then I let it go again.
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on the right.
Listen, listen, listen, it's rhyme time.
In our rhyme today, there are five fishermen who catch some rather unusual things.
Listen carefully and see how many you can remember.
Five jolly fishermen sitting back to back.
The first quarter tiddler said, The second caught a jack.
The third caught a crab.
The fourth caught an eel.
And the last one caught an old cartwheel.
Five jolly fishermen sitting back to back.
The first caught a tiddler.
The second caught a jack.
The third caught a crab.
The fourth caught an eel.
And the last one caught an old cartwheel.
Listen, listen, listen, it's story time.
There's a fish in our story today too.
A tiny fish who makes a magic wish.
Shh!
Listen, listen.
The story's called... Ishy Fish.
Once upon an underwater time, there was a fish called Ishi.
Ishi fish was pink with purple stripes.
In fact, she was the only pink fish with purple stripes in the whole of the pond where she lived.
But this meant that anyone who came to fish in the pond always saw Ishy Fishy's lovely bright stripes and tried to catch her.
Everyone would dip in their nets with a and catch Ishy Fish with a.
Then they'd say One two three four, five.
Once I caught a fish alive.
And put Ishy Fish into a jar or a bucket.
Then it might be ages before she was thrown back with a... Ishy Fish was sick of being caught.
She said, I wish, I wish, I wish I'd never be swished into the net again.
Then suddenly she heard a.
It was a tiny, shiny pebble which dropped down and down to the bottom of the pond and landed right next to Ishy Fishy's fin.
When she looked at it, she got such a surprise.
The pebble looked exactly like her.
It was pink with purple stripes too.
And that wasn't all.
It glowed and made a magical sound.
Make a wish, Ishy Fish, make a wish, the magic pebble said.
But before Ishy could say anything, there was a sound she knew so well.
Into the pond came a fishing net with a...
And Ishy Fish was caught with a swish.
Then the girl who had caught her said, One, two, three, four, five, once I caught a fish alive.
But then Ishy Fish heard, Make a wish, Ishy Fish, make a wish.
It was the magic pebble.
Ishy Fish saw it glowing next to her fin.
I wish, I wish, said Ishy Fish.
I wish I had teeth like a shark.
Immediately there was a And Ishy Fish grew into a big silver shark with big sharp teeth.
She chewed through the net and jumped back into the pond with a.
The girl looked at her ruined net.
Oh no!
She cried.
Ishy Fish giggled.
I wish I was back to normal again, she said.
And soon she was and all the fish in the pond laughed.
Then they all decided to have a game of hide and seek.
Ishi Fish was in the middle of counting when there was a... It was another fishing net.
And Ishy Fish was caught with a swish.
Then the boy who had caught her said, One, two, three, four, five, once I caught a fish alive.
But then Ishy Fish heard, Make a wish, Ishy Fish.
It was the magic pebble again.
Ishy Fish saw it glowing next to her fin.
I wish, I wish, said Ishy Fish.
I wish I was as big as a whale.
Immediately there was a...
And Ishi Fish grew to the size of a whale.
She was so heavy that the boy dropped his net into the pond with a... Oh no! he cried.
Then Ishi Fish said, I wish I was back to normal again.
And soon she was, and all the fish in the pond laughed once more.
Ishii kept her magic pebble just in case.
But do you know, she never needed it, because she was never caught again.
Our last song is about five little fish who enjoy playing in the sea and swishing their tails.
Use your hands to show the fish swimming and sing along with me if you can.
Five little fish went out to play, swishing their tails in the sea one day.
Along came a crab who chased them away.
Four little fish went out to play, swishing their tails in the sea one day.
Along came an eel who chased them away.
Splish!
Three little fish went out to play, swishing their tails in the sea one day.
Alone came a shark, who chased them away.
Two little fish went out to play, swishing their tails in the sea one day.
Along came a seal who chased them away.
Splish!
Splash!
Splish!
And then...
One little fish went out to play, swishing her tail in the sea one day.
Along came a whale.
But Ishi made a wish and was left to play.
Splish, splash, splish.
Splish, splash, splish.
You might like to make some actions of your own for that song and try it again later.
I wonder what you think Ishy Fish looks like.
Maybe you could draw a picture of her with her magic pebble.
I hope you've enjoyed listening and playing in our underwater world today.
Join me again soon.
Bye!
