When I was a kid, I used to pretend like I was in a movie.
I think there was something about hoping everything would eventually fall into place and lead to a happy ending.
That helped me make sense of everything.
So, while my best friend was in town, we wanted to live our lives like we were in a movie.
So here's what we're thinking um the next few days while jared's in town.
We have an idea basically we should try to make a movie like we should be not only the directors but also the main characters in our movie.
Yes, it's gonna like we need to make our lives look like a movie, or like pretend like we are living in a movie, if that makes any sense.
Yeah, like we basically just live, like we do a bunch of stuff like main characters do in movies.
Right oh, there's potential.
Okay, from here, we decided to watch some movies to kind of get inspired and prepare ourselves for everything we planned on doing.
So we may or may not have just driven all the way to Portland for like four hours to go to a store that we're probably not gonna be able to afford anything at, but we wanna look stylish, so we're gonna go try to find cool outfits.
So the two of us spent a couple hours looking around and we actually ended up getting some new outfits.
We got our wardrobe for the week guys, time to be movie stars.
I know.
And I guess we thought our outfits were pretty stylish because we tried to do some modeling.
Oh my gosh, is that Natalie Lin?
Natalie, Natalie, we have questions for you.
We have questions, Natalie.
Hey, Natalie, it's the Hollywood- No comment, no comment.
No, the people wanna know.
The people wanna know.
Natalie, Natalie- No comment.
So yeah, after getting our outfits, we were both ready to start going on some adventures.
What are we doing right now, Jared?
We're about to go climb a water tower.
We're literally going to climb this water tower.
This is really sketchy.
Oh my gosh.
I hate this.
Here we go.
Those are the three sisters.
Is that one?
No good, because i flew.
I flew over that to come here.
That's where i kind of get up, because I pulled out my drone to get some drone shots up on this water tower and my drone case flew off the side because of the wind.
So now we have to go find it.
Yeah.
Wherever that is.
We also decided to go to one of the most iconic lakes in Oregon.
We haven't seen it yet, but we're kind of driving around the lake.
I feel like we're about to.
I know, we're about to.
Oh my gosh, look, is that the edge of it?
That's not real, that's not real.
That's so pretty.
We're at greater lake.
It's one thing to see this on a screen, like through, you know, like a video or something, but it's another thing to see this in real life.
This is insane.
Aside from just exploring parts of Crater Lake, the two of us did have one objective in mind.
We could either go this way or we have to go all the way through this.
Let's just go.
Yeah, we should go back over here.
Jared and I are currently on a one mile hike down to the actual lake part of Crater Lake, because we want to try to swim in the water even though it's going to be extremely freezing.
I don't know if you filmed it, but there's literally some like melted glacier, like on the sides of the water.
Yeah, there is snow on the side of the water so it's going to be absolutely freezing, but I'm kind of down to do it.
Here we go, here we go!
We did it!
Woo!
Woo!
I'm so cold.
Natalie's lips are blue.
So we're not doing too well right now, to be honest with you.
Before I continue with this video, I wanted to mention really quick that I have a Patreon.
I don't actually make money off of my films because the majority of them are demonetized due to copyright issues.
So if anyone wants to maybe take the extra step to help support, I would really appreciate it.
Even like a dollar a month helps a lot more than you'd think.
But I also do have a bunch of exclusive content starting at 5 a month, so feel free to click the link in the description to sign up.
And if you're not able to support the Patreon, it's no worries at all.
I appreciate you even just watching my videos in the first place.
I think the two of us actually ended up driving like over 20 hours going to all these places and doing all these things.
Jared and I are about to go cliff jumping.
I'm scared to do this, but I think it's going to be really fun.
Natalie and I are driving into Portland right now.
Jared and I just went to the store and we got a bunch of painting supplies, because we're gonna try to paint canvases.
Um what?
The idea was there, but the the result wasn't.
After re-watching a lot of this driving footage, i've come to the conclusion that i'm a terrible driver natalie, oh my god.
So yeah, I would just like to publicly apologize to Jared for having to put up with my driving.
Anyways, in every new place we drove, we made it a priority to watch the sunset.
I think we started right there, like, early today.
Yeah, we started, we went all the way around.
All the way around the lake today.
Jared and I are currently waiting for the sun to go down because we're gonna do a little bonfire in this area, or we're gonna try to at least hopefully it works.
It's kind of windy so we don't even know if we're gonna be able to get a fire going, but we literally got s'mores and everything, so hopefully it works.
I know we didn't spend all that money for nothing, like I really hope this works out.
I was looking forward to some s'mores.
This is what we have going so far.
We put some like grass and some pine cones in there and we're hoping the fire from that would catch on the wood.
Awesome.
We're so close.
We're so close.
We really appreciate it.
I'm sorry.
No, you're good.
Thank you so much.
We really appreciate that.
You're welcome.
Look at that, guys.
It's going.
We did that.
Actually, they helped us with that.
We really did that.
I know.
It looks so much better.
I know.
If there is one thing about this movie, or us acting like our lives are a movie, it would be that we don't have a budget for this, so it's probably So, as much as we tried to live our lives like we were in a movie, in the end happy endings aren't necessarily realistic.
So it's Jared's last day here right now.
We're sitting in this like random field trying to have a deep talk about, you know, this trip and what we've kind of taken away from this past few days together.
I actually used to pretend like my life was a movie when I was a kid.
As stupid as that sounds, it was like kind of...
Comforting thinking that everything would fall into place and be meaningful in the end and lead to a happy ending.
But I think as I've grown up, I've realized that it's less about constantly trying to chase that happy ending and hope everything would eventually fall into place in the end.
It's like the less you focus on a happy ending, the more you can enjoy each scene at a time as it plays.
When you really think about it, everyone is kind of the main character in their own movie.
Or like, we're all just characters in everyone else's movies.
Like, I'm a character in your movie, you're a character in my movie.
Everyone has their own lives and their own stories, and I think we made so many unforgettable memories and stories, even if it was just something very insignificant in the grand scheme of things, we were still able to just try and make the absolute most out of it.
We were definitely the main characters in our little movie right here.
For sure.
Ha ha ha!
I feel like the two of us are at like a really awkward point in both of our lives, because we both just graduated high school and we have no idea like, what we're doing with our lives.
Absolutely no idea.
We're kind of just sitting here like trying to make sense of the things that don't make sense.
Yeah, I feel like for the first time, I'm finally starting to carve my own path a little bit, because you know, being in school, you're always told what to do and where to, how to think.
And now that I've graduated, I feel like I can finally start making my own movie.
I feel like I can finally be the director of my own life.
And I'm happy to be a part of your movie.
I haven't even casted you yet.
Don't get too comfortable.
Hi, really quick before you guys leave, I want to show you something I've been working on.
Basically, I may or may not have made apparel inspired by this film.
As you can see, all the products have embroidered camera button icons on the front, like rewind play stop pause, fast forward.
And then on the back, it says make your own movie.
And on the side, it says a film by Natalie Lynn. or not on the side, on the sleeve.
And they're all very comfy.
Like I'm very cozy right now.
If there was one thing I would hope anyone could take away from this film, it would be to just create your own story and don't chase the cliche happy ending.
Be the director of your own life, be the main character in your own little movie.
This collection comes in t-shirts, crewnecks, and hoodies.
I'm currently wearing a hoodie.
It has the little Make Your Own Movie on the back, as you can see.
And it is going to be limited edition.
It's not going to be available for that long, so make sure to click the link in the description and get it while you can.
And I am actually gonna be packaging all these on my own and doing all the fulfillment on my own personally.
So that's gonna be very interesting.
I really hope I don't mess up anything.
And if I do, Please bear with me.
This stuff really does help support my channel if you guys want to go check it out.
Obviously, it's not necessary if you're not able to, but I'm really proud of how this entire thing turned out.
This video is like one of my favorite videos I've ever made, so I hope you guys liked it.
Oh, fuck!
It probably doesn't even look...
Hey guys, I just wanted to say really quick sign up for my Patreon so I can pay the fine when I get fined for flying my drone at Cradle Lake message that we usually do and we'll discuss our big dreams, our big plans to take over the planet.
People think we're mental.
I know.
It's like a summoning.
No, this looks literally psychotic.
I know.
Oh my gosh, please subscribe to Natalie's Patreon for beat picks.
Ah!
What?
This girl is absolutely mental.
I don't feel safe anymore.
It looks saturated.
I know.
Even my life as Ava's color grading could never.
I know.
This is the best breakfast sandwich you will ever eat.
The best two-star breakfast sandwich you'll ever fucking eat.
So that's really exciting.
There's a bee.
Holy shit.
Holy shit.
What the fuck?
Do you not see that?
Yes, I see it.
I just don't care.
But you can, I don't know.
It just caved in.
I'm not in the right head space.
