Am I talking weird? I feel like I'm talking weird.
My tongue is swollen because I ate so much sour candy today.
It's unbelievable. My tongue is raw.
It's raw. It's inflamed.
It's swollen. I overdid it on the sour candy today.
Actually, I don't know if I could really call what I ate today sour candy.
It's this new viral snack called fruit riot.
Basically frozen fruit covered in sour candy coating.
Oh my God. It's so good. This is like my dream snack.
I love frozen fruit. Love.
I've gone through phases throughout my life where I've, you know, snacked on frozen grapes, snacked on frozen mango.
It's a snack that I love.
But on top of that, I love sour candy.
To me, sour candy is the best candy category.
Hands down. Chocolate is a close second.
But I love sour candy. This is like my dream, right?
When I found out about this new snack, I was like, okay, I gotta go get it now.
Of course, it was sold out everywhere because it's viral on TikTok.
Finally, I found it. I got so excited that I bought like 50 bags of this shit.
Not really. I bought eight bags, which is ridiculous.
But now I can't stop eating it.
I'm eating unhealthy amounts.
No one should eat that much sour food.
That much citric acid, like it's not good for your tongue.
It's not good for your mouth.
However, I ate like two bags of this today.
It's ridiculous. Anyway, so if I'm talking weird, it's because my tongue is ultimately infected.
Like it's going to fall out of my mouth because I over did it on the sour fruit.
But so worth it. So good.
Oh my God. So good. I would absolutely recommend.
The hype is not, it's not fluff.
Like it deserves the hype that it's getting.
And now it sounds like I'm sponsored by them.
I am not. They have not. They are not sponsoring me.
I wish they would because I love the product.
But anyway, today I'm going to be sharing with you some of my unpopular opinions.
I love unpopular opinions.
I love hearing other people's unpopular opinions.
I love reading through the unpopular opinions, Reddit thread.
I love unpopular opinions.
I love when people come out of the woodwork to say, you know what?
I'm not like the rest of y'all.
I'm different. Yeah, I love that.
I like debating things.
Like I just like unpopular opinions.

Download Bumble now. Number one, I don't like the window seat on a plane.
I feel like the window seat is the most desirable for multiple reasons.
Number one, obviously because you can see the view, you can look out the window and see what's happening.
And a lot of times the view out of a plane window is delightful.
There's clouds, there's sunset, there's buildings, whatever.
You know, it's pretty, it's nice to look at and it's nice to be the person in the row who can most easily access that, right?
If you're in a middle seat, it's kind of weird to be looking over the person, you know, in the window seat, looking out the window, like that's awkward.
So unless you're in a window seat for the most part, you're not looking, you're not looking out the window.
And that's kind of a delightful thing.
So, okay, you know, that's fair.
A window seat can also be nice because if you want to sleep on the plane, you're right next to the wall so you can easily just lean on the wall and sleep.
That's great too. There's a lot of redeeming qualities about a window seat.
And for a long time, the window seat was my favorite, but not anymore.
And there's one reason for that that overrides all of the redeeming qualities.
Like the window seat should be the winner for me, but it's not because I want to be able to go pee whenever I want.
Being stuck in having to pee in a window seat is, it's really bad.
It's really bad. Having to wake someone up to go pee, I can't even do it.
I can't even do it. I'm getting anxious thinking about what that feeling is like.
I cannot handle it. So to me, I would rather take the aisle seat and be the one who moves for the other two people than ever have to ask anyone to move.
I just don't want to ask anyone to move.
I just don't. That experience makes me so uncomfortable, especially when they're sleeping.
If they're sleeping, it's like, I don't even know how do I, there's been moments where I've had to pee so bad, but the person in the aisle seat or even in the middle seat has been sleeping so soundly that I'm like, I might have to crawl over them.
Like step behind them somehow.
We're stepping in front of them somehow to get out and go pee, to not wake them up.
I just can't handle waking them up.
That experience is so upsetting to me that I would just rather take the aisle seat.
Now under no circumstance, do I want the middle seat?
No one does. The middle seat sucks.
And I'd almost rather choose a completely different flight at a completely different time than have a middle seat.
That is to me out of the, I can't.
I can't. So, okay, there's that.
Next, I don't love the concept of a wedding ring.
I do sort of appreciate the idea of having some sort of special piece of jewelry that represents your bond with your partner.
Like I get the vision, right?
And I'm there. I enjoy the significance of it.
I enjoy the daily reminder of it like it's on your body all the time and it reminds you of your significant other and the promise that you've made to them.
Like, I love all this happy shit.
I get it. I also like that you can tell if someone's married or not based on if they're wearing their ring.
Like there's something kind of helpful about that in a way.
Like most of us aren't going to go flirt with somebody if we see that they have a wedding ring on.
Listen, some of us, not me, but some of us enjoy that challenge.
I'm not one of those people.
I actually find it helpful when somebody's wearing a wedding ring because I'm like, they're a friend.
That is now a friend. Maybe I thought they were hot, not anymore.
Now I think they're a friend, right?
So again, there's a lot of redeeming qualities of a wedding ring.
However, I don't like wearing rings that much.
Like they rarely fit perfectly depending on if I ate a lot of salt the day before or I don't know, maybe I'm on my period or maybe the opposite.
Like I somehow lost three pounds.
Like our bodies fluctuate.
Wait, fluctuates, these things fluctuate.
Sometimes a ring fits perfectly.
Sometimes it's fallen off.
Sometimes it's cutting off circulation.
Like I like wearing a ring when I'm really getting dolled up, right?
I'm really putting on an outfit, but I'm only really wearing a ring for a few hours or rings for a few hours.
And then they come off and I've collected quite a few rings over the years so I can sort of play around with different ones and I have a bunch of different sizes.
And so sometimes certain rings don't fit on one day, but they fit the next blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And I can play, right? But having one ring that you wear every single day, like some days that thing's going to be cutting off my circulation, some days that that thing's going to be fallen off.
I'm telling you, and maybe that's just my body, but I don't know.
There's that. But then also rings are very loosable.
How often do you hear of somebody losing their wedding ring?
It's often, it's often because rings, they fall off, they're small, they get misplaced because they're on your hands, they get damaged easily.
Like you can bump them, hit them on shit.
Like, I don't know. I'm not really into the wedding ring of it all.
Like I would almost rather have like a wedding piercing.
Like have a certain piercing spot that meant like, oh, you're married because in earring, like if it's a really solid earring, that thing can be in and not come out and it's easy, right?
Like what if you and your significant other got like a matching small little diamond earring somewhere like on my gif?
No, that's kind of cringey.
I actually don't like that.
I don't know. Maybe even like a wedding necklace that I like, like you can keep a necklace on if it's decent quality 24, 7 easily.
And if the design is good, it's easy.
It's comfortable. I don't know.
Rings are the least comfortable type of jewelry for day to day.
And that's why I'm not really into the wedding ring.
Like I think when I get married, I might propose a different idea to my fiancee.
You know, hey, maybe we do the wedding choker.
If matching chokers, come on, babe, please.
I don't know. Just something else because rings are the most uncomfortable jewelry in my opinion.
And next before I say this one, I don't want to offend anyone.
Okay. So hold up. I'm not talking about this following the following opinion is more about myself.
Okay. It's not really about other people.
I don't care what other people do with their life.
It's none of my business.
So this is more about me and like my own appearance.
So now that my disclaimer is over, I'm kind of bored of long hair.
And it's really funny that I'm saying that because probably over a year ago now, I damaged my hair really bad.
I have a whole story to time about that on anything goes.
I think it's the episode is called My Hair Fell Out.
You can look that up if you want to listen to that story.
But my hair did kind of fall out.
It broke off. I still had hair left over, but my hair was incredibly short.
And I was sort of left with this dry, shaggy sort of hairstyle, right?
And I fucking hated it. I hated it.
I was so depressed about it.
I was heartbroken. I was like, I just want my hair back.
Like this is a catastrophe.
And I made this vow to myself.
I'm going to regrow my hair.
I'm going to grow it back out and I'm going to get my hair to a healthy place again.
And you know, I'm never going to do that again, right?
I'm never going to let my hair.
Well, I mean, that's sort of two different things happening.
It was less about me growing my hair out.
I think it was less about the aesthetic and more about the principle.
Like I really want healthy hair again.
It feels so good. And it's also sort of an added bonus to have long hair again.
Because you know, you can just do different things with long hair, style it differently, et cetera.
And I think long hair tends to read a bit more classic in a way.
But the irony of that whole story is I grew it out.
And I was like, you know what?
I kind of missed that old haircut I had when it was short and shaggy.
It was actually really cute.
And I took it for granted.
Like I should have enjoyed it more.
I really, I hated that hairstyle.
And I think I hated it because I was forced to cut my hair that way.
Like I had a short shaggy haircut against my will, right?
And when things are against your will, especially when you're a rebellious person, which I think if you ask my mom, I can have rebellious tendencies.
It's upsetting, you know, when it's not your choice.
But now I look back and I'm like, honestly kind of cute and more stylish to me.
Like more interesting, more intriguing.
And so I'm kind of feeling like long hair is kind of boring.
I'm kind of bored of it. And again, like I don't care what you do with your hair.
That's none of my fucking business.
But for me, I think long hair is kind of boring on me.
Like I feel like I look boring with the long hair.
I think I look more interesting with short hair.
So that's just something I'm thinking about recently.
Do I think I look maybe prettier with long hair?
Probably. But I don't really care about that.
Like I'm more interested in like what's kind of cool to me, what's exciting to me, what's intriguing to me.
Short hair feels a bit more interesting to me.
And again, I think most people would disagree.
I think most people would look at me and say, I think she should have long hair.
I think long hair would look good on her.
And maybe that's not true.
Maybe I'm just assuming.
But I think most people would say Emma looks better with long hair.
Emma looks prettier with long hair.
Emma should probably keep her long hair.
I don't know. Maybe not, maybe not.
But whatever. Anyway, long hair is boring on me.
Next. I am in a huge wine phase.
Like I can't tell you the last time I had a tequila soda.
I go through phases with alcohol, right?
Like during COVID era. Oof.
I drink a lot. And then, you know, from there, I've had phases where I've been like, you know what, I don't drink anymore.
I'm not drinking anymore.
And then I've been like, you know what?
No. I don't need to like fully cup myself off.
Like I can have a little bit here and there for fun.
Like there's something really amazing about ordering a cocktail or a glass of wine or whatever.
There's something really enjoyable.
I thought, I'm going to drink again.
And then I've been like, oh, no, I'm actually not really enjoying that.
I actually am going to choose to take a break again.
So I go back and forth with alcohol.
And where I'm at today is that I love wine.
I've reached the point in my life where I enjoy wine.
I'm a wine girl now. Fully.
Like, I'm at a bar. I'm ordering wine.
I'm at a restaurant. I'm ordering wine.
I'm at home making myself a drink.
I'm cracking open a bottle of wine with friends.
Like that's what's happening.
I'm pretty much strictly wine now.
I can't tell you the last time I ordered to kill a soda.
I'm telling you, that was my go-to, but it's done.
It's too harsh for my body.
I just, I think I'm not as brave as I once was.
So I love wine. Wine is my alcohol of choice right now.
I also find that like one glass of wine doesn't really impact me very much.
Like it rarely will make me buzzed even.
So I can just enjoy it with a meal.
And I don't know. It's just delightful.
But that's not my impopular opinion.
A lot of people like wine.
Okay, I'm not, I'm not saying anything crazy there.
What is a little, a little unusual is that I prefer wine with ice in it.
I like to put ice in my wine, which feels very rich, like sassy, bitchy, aunt of me.
Like I feel like someone's aunt who always starts a fight at the, at Thanksgiving and shit.
That's fucking putting ice in my wine.
There's some, there's a correlation there that I feel in my bones, but I don't care.
I like my wine to be frigid, ice cold.
And listen, what I'm at a restaurant or whatever, I order a glass of wine.
That's obviously not socially acceptable to be like, hey, can I also have a cup of ice on the side?
I'm going to put ice in my wine.
Like I don't even want to deal with the looks from other people looking at me with my, my ice in my wine.
Like I can't, it's fine.
I don't need to make a scene like that.
But when I'm at home or if like I'm out of party and it's like an open bar and you're just like serving yourself, whatever, and there's ice out and there's wine out, I'm doing it.
You know what I mean? I just think wine tastes better when it's absolutely frigid, ice cold.
And don't even get me started on like a room temperature red wine.
Like I remember growing up when like people older, you know, my elders and my family would order a glass of chilled red.
I was like, why are you saying chilled?
Like all wine is chilled, right?
No, not right. Some wine is not served chilled.
And I recently had that experience where I did order a glass of red wine and it came out just ball me, just room temp.
And I was like, this is fucking foul.
Now this is disgusting.
This is a huge shame. This is a shame.
Does not taste good to me.
And I'm not a wine pierist.
So like this is not a part of my identity.
Some people are really into wine and they follow the rules of wine, but I am not one of those people.
And I like ice in my wine.
Next, I hate soda. Now I'm not trying to be like, look at me.
I'm a health freak. I hate soda.
Like no, that's not the point here.
I like plenty of foods that lack nutritional value such as soda, right?
That's not, I'm not trying to virtue signal here.
Okay? I'm not trying to be all cute and dainty saying I don't like soda.
It's not that. It's just that I fucking hate it.
I think it's disgusting.
I don't know why. It's weird because I don't know anyone else who doesn't like it.
I don't think I've met anyone else.
Maybe one other person and I don't even remember who it was.
I don't know what it is about me, but I've never really liked sweet drinks.
Even when I was a child and don't get me wrong, like I love sugar.
I love sugar. I love desserts.
I love. So it's not like I don't like sweet stuff because I do.
It's just I don't like sweet liquids.
I don't love juice. Juice is better to me than soda though.
I actually can enjoy juice sometimes.
Like a nice glass of orange juice like once every five years.
Sure. But I really hate soda.
Like one sip of it and I feel sick.
I fucking hate it. I think my least favorite is probably honestly probably a Coke.
Like I don't I don't love a Coke.
I actually know Coke is Coke is all right.
Maybe I hate like a Sprite.
I don't know. And it's nothing against these companies.
Okay, like I'm not trying to shit on them.
It's not their fault. They're doing their job.
This is what they do. They make soda.
Okay. I just find it to be foul.
I think it's because I really like sour things.
And soda tends to be just sweet.
Like just straight up sweet, no tartness at all.
And that might be why I hate it.
It's just like bland sweetness.
Like if there was a soda, like let's say Sprite, right?
Had a fuck ton of citric acid in it.
It was super sour. I would love that.
I would drink that probably.
But just straight up sweet.
I don't know. I just I'm not into it.
The only time I will drink soda is like if I'm like taking a shot at a party and it's like the only thing that I could chase with.
And I don't even take shots really anymore.
But like that's the only time I can think of in recent memory of me drinking soda.
I do not like it. Next, I actually don't mind making reservations to eat at a restaurant.
I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion.
It might not be. But I feel like just from taking the temperature from people over the course of my entire life, most people do not like making reservations.
Like it really pisses them off.
I think majority of people would prefer to just walk into an establishment and figure it out once they get there.
I disagree. I really love making a reservation.
It doesn't bother me at all.
I wish all places made reservations.
And my reason for that is that there's something so comforting about walking into a restaurant, hungry, excited to eat.
And knowing that you're in their books, they know that you're coming and they have your table ready for you, hopefully, if they have their shit together.
And you're just going to go in and sit down and immediately have a table, you know, even at like casual cafes that have seating areas.
Part of me wishes like I wish I could make a reservation so that I knew, you know, I could come in here and definitely have a place to sit and enjoy my meal, whatever.
To me, the slight inconvenience of calling the restaurant or going on, you know, a reservation app like open table or Rezzy or whatever or going on their website, the slight inconvenience of that for the security of knowing that I'm not going to have to wait around a lot.
I'm just going to be able to sit down and enjoy my experience.
Part to me is so worth it that I love making reservations.
I always make reservations.
I get stressed out when a restaurant only accepts walk-ins.
And listen, this might be something that's very LA because I know that in LA, in New York, in big cities, in Paris, even like all big cities are just packed and it's harder to find a restaurant with space that's open.
So I might be biased. If you live somewhere a bit less populated, you might be like, why would I make a reservation?
There's always a table at my local Italian restaurant.
I don't need, yeah, I don't like making reservations because I never have to make them fair enough.
I just, I like the structure that making a reservation provides.
And I'm somebody who really lives by my Google calendar or by my planner or whatever I'm using in a current moment to plan things.
I love having everything down to the hour and just knowing what I'm doing.
And making reservations fits perfectly into that.
Like, you know what, I have an appointment, if you will, at this restaurant, at this time.
I just think it's nice. Like, I don't know.
I hate waiting in line. Actually, funny story, not really funny at all.
But recently, I was on a little vacation in the South of France.
And I don't know. I was sort of like, I'm used to using like Yelp or Open Table or Rezzy.
These are all different websites that you can use to make reservations, read reviews, blah, blah, blah.
In America, for the most part, those apps got you covered.
You know what I mean? You can, again, not sponsor, I sound very sponsored today, not sponsored.
Almost every establishment is either on Yelp, Open Table or Rezzy.
And you can either make a reservation or read reviews.
And it's easy to discover new places to, you know, book a table, blah, blah, blah.
In Europe, I haven't found the equivalent yet.
And that's because I haven't really looked for it.
But stuff like Rezzy, you know, it's not, it doesn't work as well there.
There aren't as many options.
And so, you know, when I was on this most recent trip, I was basically looking for restaurants when on daily walks, like just trying to find a cool place with a cool vibe, reading the menus as I walk by, and then writing them down in my notes app saying, okay, maybe we'll go there later.
And there was this one restaurant called Bobo and Bobo did not take reservations.
They opened at six and I'm such a freak.
And I was so stressed out that they don't take reservation that every time that we ate there, I made the people I was traveling with get ready for dinner early at like 5.30 so that we could be the first ones outside of the restaurant when they opened to make sure that we would get a table there and be able to eat there and not have to wait a long time.
Like that's what happens when I can't make a reservation is I become a freak.
And I'm like, nope, we're going to be there first.
We're going to be the first ones there.
And we're, do you see what I'm saying?
I like making a reservation because if I could have made a reservation there, I would have made a reservation for like 7.30 and it would, I don't know, I'm being crazy, but yeah.

One skill everyone can benefit from is learning how to take time for themselves.
I have been implementing a lot of self-care rituals recently because I was not taking nearly enough time for myself and it was negatively impacting my brain.
One thing that I've done is not allowed myself to doom scroll on social media in my time spent alone.
I find that that just ruins the recharging benefits of being alone.
I've been making more time to read books, do art, and exercise because I find that all of those things make my alone time even more effective in terms of recharging.
Whatever your schedule looks like, it's important to do stuff for you, especially when life gets hectic.
That's when you need self-care the most.
If you're struggling with that, I recommend therapy.
A lot of times we have a vague idea about what will make us feel better in our lives.
But it can be really hard to make a plan and set it in emotion ourselves when we don't even know where to start.

Okay, next. This is a hot take.
I do not know how people are going to feel about this one.
I think I enjoy watching documentaries more than I enjoy watching movies.
I don't know why this is, and I do appreciate the art of a good movie.
I love a great movie. I'm not like a movie hater.
I think without fail, if I was given a choice on any given day, movie or documentary, I'm going to choose a documentary.
Again, that's not saying I don't love movies because I do have a love for movies.
I just think I prefer documentaries.
I do think that that's an unpopular opinion.
I don't think most people would say that.
I think it's because I grew up watching YouTube.
In YouTube is much more similar to documentary than it is to movies.
I tend to be more riveted and more interested in things that actually happened.
I connect more to real stuff because that's what I grew up consuming.
I think that that's why I almost always choose a documentary over a movie, which is why I actually haven't watched that many movies in my life.
People really give me a hard time about not having seen a lot of movies.
But I just, I grew up watching YouTube and I grew up watching documentaries on YouTube.
Like when I was very young, I was watching this YouTube channel called Vice.
It's like a news, sort of news publication.
And they used to make documentaries.
I think they still do make documentaries.
And they were totally inappropriate for me at my age.
I should not have been watching them.
They were about like drugs and like really dark shit.
I don't know. I know I was watching it.
I have no regrets. I learned a lot.
But yeah, I just grew up on documentaries.
So that's just what I prefer.
And there are so many classic movies that I've never seen.
You know, like I haven't seen Titanic.
I haven't seen the notebook.
I haven't seen Clueless.
And people literally cannot fathom that.
Like they can't fathom that I have not seen these movies.
But they just don't interest me as much.
I'm more interested in documentaries.
But that's not to say that I haven't been incredibly moved by movies.
I just am a lot more selective about the movie that I choose to sit down and watch.
Whereas documentaries, I'll watch any documentary.
I just love the art of the documentary.
And I, that's something I'm probably more passionate about.
But yeah, I still love a movie when it's the right one.
And it's truly intriguing to me for personal reasons.
I'm not just going to watch a movie because it's popular.
You know, like Clueless to me.
I don't know. I'm just, I'm not intrigued by it.
Don't get mad at me. Maybe I bet it's great.
I really do. But I'm not motivated to watch it because it doesn't interest me.
I don't know why. Anyway, I also have other gripes with movies.
Like I often start them and end up hating them and then be like, fuck, now I have to finish it because I've started it.
I don't like to not finish things that I've started.
So that's another gripe I have with movies.
But again, I like, I like them still, but it just has to be the right movie.
Next, I don't like wearing sweatpants in public.
Like even when it's socially acceptable, I choose not to wear sweatpants in public.
And I think that this is unpopular because I think most people actually, myself in the past included like up until recently, I would wear sweatpants in public anytime I could.
For obvious reasons, it's comfortable.
Who gives a fuck? Like yeah, if sweatpants are appropriate or even sort of appropriate, why not?
Right? I don't like it anymore.
In fact, I refuse to wear sweatpants in public.
There are some exceptions.
Like I have certain sweatpants adjacent pants that I'll wear in public, but they're not like full on sweatpants.
I don't know what's come over me, but I just really don't like the feeling anymore.
I really like feeling ready for anything.
I think that that's what it comes down to.
Like for example, I'm going to a friend's house to hang out.
I don't want to wear sweatpants to go to my friend's house because what happens if we decide, hey, you know what?
Let's go out tonight. Now I'm in sweatpants.
I'm like fuck. What am I going to do?
That really stresses me out.
Or let's say I'm traveling.
I'm going on the plane. Obviously it's super comfortable to wear sweatpants on the plane.
However, what happens if the plane lands and I get off the plane and I get into my room and I put all my stuff away?
And then I want to go and do something.
I mean, obviously, I guess I could just change.
I don't know. I guess my argument's not very strong here.
I'm like kind of debunking my entire argument, but I just like to feel ready for stuff.
I enjoy feeling a bit put together.
I don't need to feel runway red, red carpet, ready all the time.
But I like to feel buttoned up a little bit.
I don't know. There's something about it that makes me feel more prepared for the day and for anything that might come my way.
I think I feel a bit more confident too.
And listen, some might argue like, I'm a you should feel confident in sweatpants too.
Yes, but when I'm in an outfit that I like and I'm feeling put together, I don't know.
There's something sort of soothing about it for me socially.
I just I enjoy that feeling.
And that's something I really did not care about years ago.
But nowadays I'm not about wearing sweatpants in public.
It's so interesting. It was like something changed in my brain.
And now I don't like wearing sweatpants in public.
Next, people hate hard boiled eggs.
They hate them. I think hard boiled eggs are awesome.
I like them. They're a great snack when they're all dolled up and they're a devil egg.
Delicious. Sometimes devil eggs are gross.
There's too much mayo. Ew, ew.
But for the most part, a devil egg.
Delicious. I like hard boiled eggs.
I don't think that they're gross.
If I need a quick little snack, I'll cut up some hard boiled eggs, put some salt and hot sauce on them.
I think it's great. Is it okay?
Is it delicious? I don't know.
I don't know if it's delicious.
It's not like eating fried eggs with, like obviously a fried egg is better.
It's warm. It's more, yeah, sure.
But I think hard boiled eggs are awesome.
And people really hate on them and think that they're disgusting.
I think that they're great.
Again, they're not delicious.
They're not like, it's not like eating a fucking delicious slice of carrot cake.
It's a hard boiled egg. Like manage your expectations.
But for the most part, they're awesome.
With hot sauce, I don't know.
I think they're pretty good.
And I think that they're underrated.
Next, I think rats are cute.
A lot of people do not like rats.
They think that they're gross.
They think the long, like, fleshy tail is gross.
They think that they're just, you know, like pests.
I disagree. I think rats are cute.
I had rats as a kid, as a pet.
And they were delightful, sweet, gentle little rodents.
And I don't know rats just don't scare me.
Like if I see a rat or a mouse or anything out on the street, I'm like, that is cute.
Like that's my cute little friend.
Like stop screaming and it's not like, listen, a tarantula, that scares me.
That's creepy to me. A rat is like a really, really small cat or dog if you really think about it.
Rats are familiar. They're mammals.
They're like, we have pets that are so similar to rats.
Like I don't get the fear of them.
I mean, listen, I am aware that some wild rodents, two carried diseases.
And that is frightening.
Like you don't want to be cuddling up with them necessarily.
But I don't think that they're scary.
I think that they're cute.
I like rats. I think that they're cute.
And I will always love them.
Even the ones that carry diseases, it's not their fault.
Like I'm not going to be cuddling up with them, but it's not their fault.
And I share that same mentality with pigeons.
Like people think pigeons are the rats of the sky.
They call them that. And I disagree.
I think pigeons are really sweet, beautiful birds.
And I love them. In fact, I have a pigeon tattooed on my right arm.
I have a little pigeon on my arm.
So that's how much I love pigeons.
I love them because they're around.
Like they're everywhere, you know?
And there's something about their presence that I like.
They're almost always there.
And they're always mining their own business.
And I like watching them.
Like I like sitting at a cafe and watching pigeons eat little scraps of hot dog off the ground.
I like that. I like, they're so available to me because I am constantly in cities.
So I don't know. I just am partial to them.
I like them. Next, I think it's cute to wear non prescription glasses.
Some people have a gripe with people who wear non prescription glasses.
Like just see through clear glasses for fashion because they're like glasses are not for fashion.
They're for an actual purpose.
They're for people who who need them.
Like why are you wearing glasses?
It's stupid and it's goofy.
I understand that because I'm the first person to say that fashion trends that serve no purpose will have a really hard time being timeless.
I've become the first person to say that.
Okay. My one argument for glasses is that I think that they add so much character to an outfit that I think that there's such a great accessory.
Like sunglasses are great, but when it's nighttime or it's foggy out or whatever and you want to dress up an outfit, wearing just a clear pair of glasses, it can change the whole vibe of a look.
And on top of that, I've noticed that when I wear glasses out, for some reason psychologically for me and I don't understand what it is, it might be placebo, it might be something that only I experience.
I don't know. I feel like I have less social anxiety.
Like I feel weirdly protected when I wear glasses.
Like it almost feels like a buffer.
So weird. I don't know what that is.
And I noticed it when I just started wearing like non-prescription glasses for style purposes because I thought it was kind of a fun trend.
And then I was like, why do I feel more socially comfortable when I'm wearing glasses?
This is so weird. And I don't know.
I think it's cute and I think it's socially is helpful at least for me.
And I also do wear reading glasses as well because I have a stigmatism.
Whatever the fuck that is.
That means I need reading glasses because my eyes need them or whatever.
So I also wear functional ones, but I only need those when I'm reading or driving when my eyes are tired or whatever, but I don't really need them all the time.
So sometimes those were non-prescription ones for a cute little accessory.
Okay, next. Some of y'all are going to be mad at me about this one.
I don't know why I'm saying y'all like I'm from Texas or something, but I like saying y'all.
So I don't know what that is, but anyway, this might be controversial, but I do have to say it.
I don't think Irish exits are rude.
To me, Irish exits are totally fine.
If you don't know what an Irish exit is, it's basically when you leave an event or a party and you don't say goodbye.
Now here's my argument.
If I was throwing a party, I was throwing an event.
It wouldn't bother me if somebody didn't say goodbye.
Listen, if it's my best friend or it's like my family member or something, yes, I would expect them to say goodbye.
But if I'm throwing like a pretty decently sized event, right?
Like there's 50 people, maybe even 25, that's too intimate, but like there's 50 people.
If we're at, like, you know what I'm saying?
If we're at a substantial event, I don't think that there's anything wrong with Irish exiting.
There's already enough going on.
The host, they don't care that you're leaving.
You know what I'm saying?
Just leave. It's fine. If I was hosting a party, if I was hosting an event, I would not be offended if people just Irish exiting.
In fact, I would actually prefer it because I don't want people to feel like they owe me, like no, it's not that big of a deal.
As long as we already got to say hi once, maybe share a little laugh to get out of it.
I don't care. Get out. It's all good.
I sometimes feel awkward about saying goodbye before leaving sort of an event because I'm like, I feel self-important, you know, going up to the host of this party or whatever, and saying goodbye, like assuming that it's detrimental to the party that I'm leaving.
Oh, I have to say goodbye, I have to let them know.
To me, it feels sort of self-centered.
I don't know why, and that's again, delusional.
I think it actually is very polite to say goodbye as well.
If that's what you like to do, I think that that is polite and I think that that's nice.
But I don't, I don't think Irish exits are that rude.
I wish we would remove the stigma.
Listen, if I were to do 23 in me right now, I can almost guarantee you I'm 50% Irish.
So maybe that's what that is.
I don't know, but I just don't think that they're rude.
I love a seamless exit from a party.
I think it's the best. I don't like being begged to stay.
That really stresses me out when I'm like, all right, I'm out of here.
So thank you for having me, whatever.
And then they're like, no, we have to stay for another hour at least.
Like that I don't like. And that's often what happens when you go to say goodbye.
It's like, no, really? Come on, stay a little longer.
And it's like, I want to go to bed, you know?
I like an Irish exit. I don't think it's rude.
And if I ever throw an event and you happen to come do it or I throw a party and you listening or come do it, don't say goodbye.
Get the fuck out whenever you want.
I will not take it personally.
Okay. Next, sleeping in is not enjoyable to me.
If I have a day off, I want to wake up bright and early and utilize every single fucking minute of that day.
I would so much rather wake up early and take a nap if I'm tired, then sleep in until like noon.
I'm at a place in my life now where if I wake up any later than 9.30, my day, is derailed.
And there are ways to get back on track.
But for some reason, subconsciously for me, I cannot have an inspired day if I wake up after 9.30.
I just can't. It stops the day and it's tracks for me.
And I always wake up panicked, even if I have nothing to do that day, I always wake up panicked, like, oh my god, now I'm not going to go to bed on time.
Like I'm going to be going to bed late tonight.
I'm further ruining my sleep schedule, like it's just stressful to me.
It's not enjoyable. It's not worth it.
Like I love sleeping in my older age, if you will.
I prioritize a good night's sleep.
When I was younger, I did not care.
I would pull all nighters, go to bed at 4 in the morning, didn't care, didn't care.
Now I'm not upset. Like I really try to get to bed at a reasonable hour, try to wake up at a reasonable hour.
But even if I go to bed late nowadays, I'm like, no, I'm gonna wake up early.
And if I really need it, I'll take a nap, you know, or I'll go to bed really early the next day.
I hate sleeping in. I do not like the feeling of it.
And I think that that's unpopular.
Okay, I think most people don't care.
They're like, I'll sleep in the whole day, who gives a fuck.
I don't know why I can't do it.
It puts me in a horrible mood as well.
Next. This is going to be a hypocritical moment.
Because my opinion doesn't match my actions in life with this one.
A lot of times when I meet people, I'll go in for a hug.
I don't care. I really do see value in like a warm greeting, you know.
And if somebody comes at me and seems uncertain about whether we're hugging or we're handshaking, I'm always gonna go in for the hug, right?
Because I think that there is a lot of value to a warm greeting and a warm first impression.
However, deep down, I would so much rather just do a handshake.
Like I really actually don't like hugging people that I don't know.
I really don't like that.
But I do it because there's something inside of me that's like, this will make, you know, the person feel comfortable.
This is the right thing to do.
But deep down, I prefer a handshake.
I love a handshake, but I feel like a handshake sometimes can put people off and make people feel like, oh, God, like does she really like me or no?
Because she gave me a handshake.
Why didn't she hug me? It's not personal.
I just don't really like a hug has a greeting.
I prefer a handshake. It's very weird.
When it's people I know and love, I don't mind a hug.
I love a hug. But for new people, I'd prefer a handshake.
However, I never do that.
I always hug people like 90% of the time I'm hugging people.
So super hypocritical, but I do it against my own will.
I do it. Like it's two sides of my brain fighting each other.
One side is like, you don't even like a hug.
The other side is like, yeah, but a hug is nicer.
Like it makes people feel more comfortable for the most part.
Next, just because the singer in a song is good doesn't mean the song is good.
On the contrary, just because a song has a bad mediocre maybe singer doesn't mean the song is bad.
I think there are moments when I don't know, like we can maybe praise or hype up a song because the singer's technical ability is so good.
But sometimes those songs are actually kind of not that great.
Like the lyrics maybe aren't great or like, I don't know, like melodically, it's not maybe very interesting.
And then on the contrary, like sometimes a singer is not that great, like not that technically great, right?
Not like Ariana Grande level fucking insane vocals great, but the song is still good.
And that's not me saying that was not me shading Ariana Grande.
I love Ariana Grande. Okay.
I'm just I'm using her as an example because she's the best vocalist ever.
Like she's insane and so good.
And I think Ariana Grande's music is great, but you get I'm using her as an example.
You get my point here, right?
Like good voice doesn't mean good music bad voice doesn't mean bad music.
It's not that clear. Like for example, I love the velvet underground in Nico album is Nico like technically a great singer?
No, like she's not like Ariana Grande level, right?
Like she's sometimes a bit off, but I love that album and I love that music and I actually love her voice, even though it's not technically good.
And some people I think would be put off by the voice like I can't handle it.
Like it's not technically good enough for my ear like I and I get that.
But for me, I sometimes think a bad voice can kind of be good in a way like there can be something charming about it.
And then on the other hand, you know, there are songs where the singer is so good, like it's so technically good and amazing.
But the song itself is just kind of like, it's kind of lackluster.
Like it's not really that interesting.
So I don't know. I think a song can be good, even if a singer is bad.

Next, I think animated television animated movies do not get nearly enough attention.
Okay. Animated stuff doesn't get nearly as much attention as live action.
And I actually think that that's a shame.
I have always had an affection for animation.
I just love it. Any form of animation I love.
And I just think animated shit is underrated.
I think it tends to get overlooked for whatever reason.
And I don't know. I think there's a lot of good shit there.
Animation can be just as good as a live action.
It all just depends on the writing and the style of animation and whatever.
But there's so much potential there.
I feel like there's a lot of untapped potential there.
There aren't nearly enough adult animated shows.
Because when I'm speaking about this now, I'm not talking about children's shows and stuff.
There's definitely a lot of successful animated children's entertainment.
But the adult animated TV movie scene, I don't know.
It's not as mainstream.
It's not as popular. There are certain shows that have gotten big.
Obviously the Simpsons or Family Guy or Rick and Morty or whatever.
But for the most part, it's kind of...
No, it's not given as much attention.
Fantastic Mr. Fox. That's like a young adult movie.
It's not a children's movie at all.
But it's also not maybe fully an adult movie.
I think it is kind of an adult movie.
That is such a great fucking movie.
I want more of those. I want more fantastic Mr.
Fox's. I want more... See, I don't even have another example.
Maybe I need to dig deeper into the animated scene.
Because maybe there's some stuff that I'm not aware of.
But yeah, I just... I think it's an underrated space.
I think animation in general for adults is underrated.
And I don't know. I just think it's so great.
Fantastic Mr. Fox for me is like the Northern Star.
It's the best. But I think that there should be more.
So to all of you cartoonists out there, cartoonists, animators, claymation artists, keep pushing.
I want more. Next, Sour Patch Kids, not sour enough.
Sorry, I'm saying it. I like Sour Patch Kids, okay?
They're yummy, but they're not nearly sour enough.
For fuck's sake, there's sour in the name, not sour enough.
To me like a sour skittle, that's the right amount.
It's painful, but it's not so painful that you can't eat a whole bag.
But I do want my tongue to be a little destroyed by the end, you know?
I just don't think Sour Patch Kids are sour enough and I've been saying this since day one.
On the theme of foods, I will almost always choose a burrito over a taco and I love both.
Like, I, no, I don't even just love both.
Like I adore both. I adore a burrito.
I adore a taco. I love. Okay, I fucking love.
So don't get me wrong. And you know what?
I had tacos twice this weekend.
So it's like, it sounds weird for me to say that I will almost always choose a burrito over a taco.
But the reason why I chose tacos twice this weekend was because burritos were not available.
So listen, I'm more than happy to have a taco if a burrito is not available, but I'm always going to choose a burrito if it's available.
And I think there are a few reasons for that.
Number one, because I like the eating experience of a burrito.
Like I like taking bites out of the burrito and everything being contained.
It's just, it's easier to eat, you know?
They're also more filling.
Like one burrito, I'm good for like 12 hours.
Whereas tacos, they're less filling, you know?
Like you need to eat so many tacos to be full.
Like to me at taco or well, one taco is definitely a snack.
But even like three tacos to me, that is a snack to me.
I'm not full after that.
A burrito is a meal. That is an experience.
I don't know. I love both.
It's hard to say, but I really, really love a burrito.
I'm also just partial to the burrito because I grew up eating them.
That was one of my favorite foods growing up.
I don't know. So I'm biased in that way, but anyway, again, on the theme of food, natural peanut butter is better than the processed sort of Skippy, Jiff, whatever.
Again, I'm not going back to the soda thing from earlier.
I'm not trying to be like some sort of hippie who's like, the natural peanut butter is better.
It's so much healthier.
Listen, is that true? Sure.
It is. I'm aware of that.
But that's not why I'm saying this.
I'm saying this because I just genuinely think it tastes better.
And there are certain things where the healthy version is not as good as the original.
Okay? So let's be clear.
But in the case of peanut butter, I think the healthy peanut butter is better.
The natural peanut butter is better.
When I say natural peanut butter, I mean the type of peanut butter where you have to mix the oil in.
Listen, mixing in the oil is annoying.
But to me, it's worth it because I think the flavor is so much better.
It's nuttier. It's like more savory and like yummy.
I don't know. I just like it better.
Like in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, to me, natural peanut butter is so much better.
Eating peanut butter with apples, like natural peanut butter, it's savory with the sweet.
Like it's so good. I don't know.
I just think it's better.
My mouth is watering. Next, being too scared to fart in front of your significant other is a red flag.
Now I know some of you are saying, at home, but Emma, it's gross or, you know, how are they going to be sexually attracted to me after they hear me fart?
Or it's rude. Like it's not charming.
It's rude. Nah. I don't think so.
I think if you're too scared to fart in front of your significant other, you're not good friends enough.
Now listen, it's a process.
Like you're not going to be comfortable farting in front of them immediately.
Like it takes time. In the beginning, you have jitters.
You're excited. Take your time.
But I think it's good to fart in front of your significant other.
In fact, I've farted in front of, I think, all of my significant others.
And listen, some of that shit has not ended well.
So it's not, you know, don't let that be the sole dictator of where your relationship ends up.
But I think it is a green flag.
I think being too afraid to is a red flag because your partner is supposed to be your best friend, the person that you lean on, the person that you share a lot with, you know, not necessarily everything, but a lot with if you can't fucking fart in front of each other, what are you going to do when shit hits the fan?
Shit gets really serious.
And you need to deal with some gnarly shit.
You know what I mean? When life hits you, it's good to just have everything out on the table fart in front of each other.
I don't know. I don't believe in farting in front of Bay.
I think it's a green flag.
And I think it means that you have a healthy level of closeness and you're a good team together, you know, there's no judgment.
It's a healthy, safe environment.
But on top of that, I think that it, it shows that you don't put your partner on an unhealthy pedestal.
Like, I don't know. There's been certain guys that I've dated where it's been way scarier for me to fart in front of them.
And the reason for that is because I put them on more of a pedestal.
And that's not healthy.
Okay. I don't know if I've talked about this before.
I think lingerie makes me feel less hot.
Like the whole point of lingerie is it's supposed to be like, ooh, I feel hot in this.
I don't. I feel way better without it.
Like I'd rather have nothing than lingerie.
I just don't lingerie to me.
It's uncomfortable. Like it's rarely like fully flattering.
Like it's usually like really tight or like it's like, to be honest, I've barely I haven't even really, I've not even dabbled.
Do you know what I mean? Like it's, I already know it's not my vibe.
Like I don't know. I just, it doesn't work for me psychologically.
Like it makes me feel less hot.
And it's supposed to do the opposite.
So I don't know. That's interesting.
And maybe that's a personal issue.
And maybe that's something that I need to figure out because maybe there's something wrong with me.
But I don't think so. I think it's just not everyone's cup of tea.
And it's not mine. I don't like it.
Okay. Next. You know, a lot of people think of truffle, right?
Like truffle mushrooms as being sort of this like exquisite food, right?
Like truffles are super expensive.
You know, getting like truffle pizza, truffle pasta, truffle this truffle that.
Let's put it on this pedestal.
Like this is a special, special ingredient.
I think for the most part, it's kind of gross.
Like I used to like it when I was younger and then I don't know.
I just grew out of it. I really don't like it anymore.
The only time I like truffle, there's one time and it's on french fries.
Truffle french fries with a little bit of Parmesan, yum.
Okay. Other than that, I think truffle is overpowering.
I think the flavor is off putting for me.
It lacks like it's too, I don't even know the word for it, but it's like too musky almost.
It's too rich. I like something that has a bit of lightness to it, a bit of acidity.
I just don't like truffle.
I just, I think it's kind of gross.
And then last but not least, this is a crazy pivot.
I think this is, okay, this is a big thing for me to dig into right now.
So maybe we'll dig into it more in another episode.
So I'll keep it brief. Listen, I did not grow up religious.
Okay, I did not grow up in a church.
I mean, I grew up adjacent to churches.
I went to a Jewish preschool.
I went to a Catholic high school.
And I have various family members who are in various religions in a much more involved way.
However, I am not personally religious.
I've never on my own accord gone out in gone to church, right?
However, I sort of have my own spiritual feelings and beliefs that I've sort of compounded over the course of my life and learning about various religions.
And what they believe and I've sort of just pulled little bits and pieces from everywhere and kind of made up my own thing that works for me.
And it doesn't have a lot of structure and it's kind of just, it's whatever.
It's very intuitive and it's very personal and it's my own thing, right?
It's my own sort of spirituality of sorts.
But with that being said, like something that is consistent through all religions for the most part is praying.
And as somebody who did not grow up religious but has been around religion, I've always felt sort of weird about praying.
Like, praying is not for me.
I'm not a religious person.
I'm not baptized. I'm not this.
I'm not that like, it's not my right to pray.
Like I don't who am I to pray, right?
I have changed my stance on that.
I think everyone should pray if they want.
And I don't think you need to be religious.
I don't think you need to even know who you're praying to have that all figured out.
I don't think, I think only positive things can come from praying.
And it doesn't, again, it doesn't need to be connected to any sort of religion.
It can be just praying into the universe, praying to nothing.
It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.
But I think the act of praying is really powerful and can be really special.
And to those of you who are like a really, you know, passionate, atheist, like I get it, it might seem to you pointless or stupid or whatever to somebody who's incredibly religious, it might seem like, well, you can't pray to nothing.
Like it's a very touchy subject and I'm aware of that.
But in my opinion and possibly in my own popular opinion, I think anyone in everyone should feel welcome to pray if that's something that they want.
And again, like I know that there are different religions that feel that I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm not trying to stir the pot at all.
I think that praying as an action, which is basically like just speaking to something higher and talking to that, whatever it is, again, it could be whatever you want it to be.
It doesn't even matter.
There's something about that that is so therapeutic.
And listen, it doesn't, it's not like it's going to, you know, it's complicated, right?
Listen, if you're a religious person and you're a part of a church, this obviously doesn't really apply to you as much because you're already praying, you know, this is already a part of your routine, most likely.
Whereas for somebody more like me who's a bit more spiritually sort of all over the place and kind of on my own personal journey, and I'm not involved in a community that is consistently praying.
I kind of wish somebody would have told me sooner, hey, you can pray too.
Like even though you might not know who you're praying to, everyone is welcome to pray.
And it's not, I don't know, it's not necessarily excluded.
It shouldn't necessarily be exclusionary.
And some people might vehemently disagree with me on this.
So we'll see. But I think anyone and everyone can benefit from praying regardless of their religious or even non-religious beliefs.
I think everyone can benefit.
And I think it only brings positivity to one's life.
And I actually have family members who again are not religious, who inspired me to pray when I'm having really bad anxiety.
And it really helped me.
Like does it solve my anxiety completely?
Absolutely not. Okay, it does not.
But it helps me. Like for example, I've been having on and off really bad plan anxiety, like airplane anxiety.
And when I'm flying alone, particularly it can get really bad.
And I travel all the time for work and there are these moments where I'm on the plane and I'm alone.
And I don't have cell service.
I can't text my parents and say, can you just make me feel better like I tend to do?
I'm alone. Sometimes there is why I find the plane and I can't text them.
But sometimes I can't. Okay.
And in these moments, I have to figure out a way to calm down.
And listen, there are ways that I can do it within myself, right?
And those methods work sometimes.
But sometimes what I really need when I'm really, really struggling is to in that moment say, you know what?
I do believe that there is something out there that's bigger than me.
And I'm going to fucking talk to that person right now or that thing.
I'm going to talk to that thing right now.
I don't know what it is. I don't know if it's real.
I don't fucking care. For right now, I'm going to assume that there's something out there and I'm going to talk to it.
And there's something about that that can be so comforting saying, you know, just asking like, please protect this flight, please protect this plane, you know, whatever.
There's something about it that's really, really beautiful.
I don't know. And listen, I'm not, I now I sell like a fucking cult leader.
Like if you guys are not in a church yet, but you want to start praying, pray with me for $2,000 a month or something like I'm not being a cult leader by saying this.
Like it couldn't be farther from that.
Actually, there are things farther than that, farther from that probably, but yeah, I don't know.
There it is. Those are my unpopular opinions.
Maybe some of these are not unpopular.
I'm just assuming that they are.
Let me know your unpopular opinions on the Instagram or on TikTok comments, wherever, just comment, DM, do whatever, just wherever you please.
Let me know your unpopular opinions.
I'm very curious. And if you enjoyed this, I'll do another one.
So let me know if you liked it.
And that's all I have to say.
That's all I have for today.
Thank you all for listening.
Thank you all for hanging out.
This was so fun. I love making lists.
I've realized something about me.
I just love making a list and then going down the list on my podcast.
So that's something that I'm discovering as a passion of mine is making lists, which is weird.
But anyway, I love this episode.

If I had to recommend a product, I'm going to say we really got our oat milk lattes in a can down to a fucking science.
And those there, listen, I wasn't even an oat milk girl before.
Like I've always been an almond milk girl.
However, we got so many requests for oat milk.
They were like, you know what?
Let's do it. Let's make an oat milk latte.
It's now my favorite. Everyone in the office is favorite.
Like we love the oat milk latte.
There's four flavors, cinnamon.
Actually, no, now there's six flavors.
We just came out with two more cake batter and brown sugar lattes.
So now we have six flavors of the oat milk.
So I'd really recommend finding those and trying them out.
If you tried our original one, the almond coconut latte that's low sugar, listen, I get it.
That's not everyone's cup of tea.
The oat milk one, I promise you, it really is delicious.
And it's, it's made me more of an oat milk girl.
Like I never thought I would be an oat milk girl until I developed this.
And I was like, yeah, this is really fucking good.
So anyway, go pick it up.
