So today's english lesson is going to be kind of funny at least funny to me because i don't want to make an english lesson today.
This is rare for me.
I almost always want to make an english lesson.
I love coming outside and recording the video and then editing the video, but today, for some reason, i don't want to.
I think it's because i've been a little bit busy at work, which is kind of funny, because I just mentioned the last few days how things are going really smoothly.
But all of a sudden, today I don't want to make a video.
And I thought, what should I do?
Because I don't feel like making a video.
When you don't feel like making a video or I don't feel like making an English lesson, it means that you don't have a lot of energy or desire to do it.
You'd rather do something else.
Right now, I feel like having a nap.
Maybe I'm getting sick.
I hope not.
But I certainly don't feel like making a video today.
That means I just, in my mind, there's other things that I would rather be doing.
And that reminds me of another phrase, I'd rather not.
I'd rather not make an English lesson today.
But for some reason, I feel like I do need to make one.
And so this seemed like a great topic.
An English lesson about the phrases you use when you don't want to do something, when you don't feel like doing something, when you'd rather not do something.
So when you say, I'd rather not, it means that you don't want to do that thing.
We also have a phrase, I can't be bothered.
This is a little different.
When you can't be bothered, it means that you don't want to do it and there's other things that you really, really want to do and you can't be bothered to do the other things.
So I guess this isn't exactly true for me because I am out here making an English lesson.
So it wouldn't be true to say, I can't be bothered to make an English lesson.
I certainly took the time.
By the way, I'm a little distracted here, but the leaves on the trees are really starting to turn color.
And then the last phrase would be, I don't feel up to it.
If you don't want to do something because you don't feel up to it, that usually means you're not feeling well.
You know, if I had a long day at work, I might not feel up to making supper.
I might say to Jen, could you make supper tonight because I don't feel up to it.
So To review, if you say I don't want to, or I don't feel like it, or I'd rather not, or I can't be bothered, or I don't feel up to it, all of those phrases indicate that you don't want to do something.
So I thought this would be kind of a funny thing to do.
I literally didn't feel like making an English lesson.
I didn't want to, I didn't feel like it, I'd rather not.
I couldn't be bothered, I didn't feel up to it.
But I came out and made one anyways, because as soon as i thought about the fact that i didn't want to do it, i thought oh, there's other phrases that go with that aren't there.
And so i quickly did a search and brainstormed myself and thought of a few more.
So now i'm in this weird zone where i told you that i didn't want to make the english lesson, i told you i didn't feel like it, i told you i'd rather not do it.
I told you that i can't be bothered, and i told you that i didn't feel up to it and then made it anyways.
So anyways, there's five phrases that you can use if you want to tell someone that you don't want to do something.
Thanks for watching.
I hope you didn't mind this little short English lesson.
I thought it was better than just posting and saying hey, I didn't feel like making an English lesson this week.
I'll catch you next week.
I thought this was a little bit more fun and a little bit more entertaining, and you got to see a little bit of the great outdoors while I was at it.
So thanks for watching.
I'll see you next week with another English lesson bye.
