Cody, want to hear a story?
Yes, I do.
Can I please help tell it, too?
Yes, listen close.
Let's imagine and rhyme.
It's Cocomelon Storytime!
Cody, I'm home!
Yay!
I'm helping Daddy make dinner.
Were you at work, Mommy?
Yes.
I was at the doctor's office helping kids just like you.
Mommy?
Why did they go to you for help?
Great question.
Hmm, what if I answered it with a story?
Yeah!
I love stories!
This is the story of what happened to Humpty Dumpty after his great fall.
One day, Humpty Dumpty was on a long afternoon walk.
Ooh, my legs are tired.
I should take a seat and rest.
And so...
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
That's right.
And all the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty together again.
Which meant that Humpty was still broken in pieces.
So what did he do?
Well, Humpty realized, of course they can't put me together.
It's not that they're not good at it.
The king's horses and men or good at other things like... Oh, galloping around.
Yes.
Clip, clop, clip, clop, clip, clop.
And protecting the kingdom.
Right.
And wearing armor.
Clink, clink, clink, clink.
Exactly.
So Humpty thought, if it's not all the king's horses or all the king's men who can put me back together again,
Just then, Humpty smelled something in the air.
Oh, something smells delicious.
What could that be?
Good thing his nose still works.
You're right, Cody.
The smell was coming from Baker the Bear carrying a tray of freshly baked bread.
She saw Humpty and said, Maybe I can help.
And gave Humpty two arms and two legs made of bread.
Did that help?
Well...
Humpty stood up and tried walking.
I think it worked.
But then he stepped in a puddle.
And suddenly, squish, squish, squish.
Oh, no.
The bread got squishy.
Yes.
His bread arms and legs got so soft and soggy that Humpty fell over.
And do you know what he said?
What?
The baker is good at baking, but she can't fix me.
If it's not the baker or all the king's men... Who can put me back together again?
Then Humpty heard some loud music getting closer.
Was it a marching band?
It was!
Louis Antstrong, the ant with his trumpet.
Whop!
The piggy with her drums.
Rat-a-tat-tat!
And Baby Crab with her wooden flute.
Doot!
Doot!
The band was on their way to perform a song...
For old King Cole, when Louie the Ant saw Humpty in pieces and said, Maybe we can help.
And they gave Humpty their instruments to use his arms and legs.
Once more, Humpty stood up and said, I think it worked.
But as soon as he took a step, Humpty realized these instruments were really loud and Whoa to balance on.
This would not work at all.
Besides, the band needed their instruments back.
So do you know what he said?
What?
Bands are good at playing, not fixing me up.
But if it's not the baker, the band are all the king's men.
Who can put me back together again?
Humpty realized he needed a certain kind of help.
Who else could help him, Mommy?
Bakers are good at baking and bands are good at playing.
Who is good at helping people fix their bodies?
Doctors like you, Mommy.
That's right.
So Humpty called for his friend, Dr. Duck.
Oh, Dr. Duck, can you please help put me back together again?
Dr. Duck came running and saw Humpty in pieces.
Don't worry, she said.
I know just what to do.
And she bandaged Humpty up using duct tape, of course, and made him good as new.
Ah, ooh, thank you.
That feels all better.
Hooray!
To celebrate, the band played a song.
Toot, toot, toot.
Baker Bear shared her bread.
Nom, nom, nom.
And Humpty Dumpty turned to Dr. Duck and said, thanks so much for your help, my friend.
You put me back together again.
Yay!
The doctor made Humpty Dumpty all better.
The end.
We heard a story.
Yes, it's true.
And I helped tell it, too.
We listened, imagined, and made some rhymes for Cocomelon Storytime.
