Did you hear it? Listen and play again.
What can you hear? Sounds like a bird. Maybe a duck.
Oh my goodness, yes, a large bird, called a goose.
Listen and play again.
What can you hear this time?
There, foots! Who do you think would make footsteps like these?
Those are big footsteps, they must belong to a giant.
What noise can you make with your feet?
where you are, stamp your feet with me now.
Stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, Now, stamp your feet very quietly.
Stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, Stop, now stamp them as loudly as you can.

Oats and beans and barley grow, oats and beans and barley grow, not you nor I nor anyone know, oats and beans and barley grow.
First the farmer sows the seed, then he stands and takes his ease, sums his feet, and claps his hand.
It turns around to view the land.
Well done! Listen, do you remember these sounds?
The cowl The goose and the giant footsteps.
Those sounds are all in today's story.
Listen carefully to hear the sounds.
And, to find out what's happened when a young boy called Jack plants some magic beans in his garden.
Jack lived with his mother.
They didn't have much money and, one morning, when they discovered that their only cow had stopped milking, Jack's mother said, Now Jack, you must take the cow to market to sell.
We can buy some food with the money.
So, Jack took the counter -market.
It was very busy at the market.
Jack was jostled one way, then another, and he was beginning to feel very small.
In a quiet corner was an old man in a tattered brown coat which was tied with a string.
He waved for Jack to join him.
Well, well! Look at this fine beast!
said the old man. Are you looking to cell her?
Yes, said Jack. How much will you pay for her?
Well, all I've got is these magic beams, said the man.
I'm not sure, said Jack.
"'Didn't you hear me?' said the man.
"'These are magic beans !" Jack wasn't really having fun in the crowded market, so decided to swap the cow for the beans and he hurried off home to tell his mother what had happened.
"'As Jack opened the door to the little house, he could hear his mother cooking the supper." "'Jack?' said his mother.
I've made us a special meal to celebrate selling the cow!
You did sell the cow, didn't you?
Yes, I did. Said Jack.
I can't wait to show you what I got for her.
And Jack held out his hand.
Look, magic bees! But Jack's mother was not at all happy.
In fact, she was very, very angry, and she threw the beans out of the window.
Then she sent Jack to bed without any supper.
After his long day, Jack went straight to sleep, and slept so deeply until he was woken by.
Jack opened the curtains and, to his surprise, founded giant Beanstalk pressed up against his window.
Jack remembered his mother had thrown the beans out of the window the night before.
The magic beans must have grown into this beanstalk, said Jack, as he opened his window to look at it.
The beanstalk was green and as big as a tree with branches and leaves going all the way up.
In fact, the beanstalk was so big it disappeared into the clouds.
So Jack decided to climb the Beanstalk to see what he would find.
When Jack got to the top he saw a huge castle with turrets and a big wooden door.
Wow! He thought, and began to run down the windy path leading to the castle.
The castle was big.
Bigger than any building Jack had ever seen!
He walked down a corridor into a great hall and found an open door.
Inside was a kitchen, but it wasn't like his mother's kitchen at home.
The tables, the chairs, in fact everything was much, much bigger!
Jack looked around the room.
There were piles and piles of gold and coins.
Jack tried to lift one, but it was too heavy.
In one corner, he saw a cage, and when he approached he found a goose inside it.
The goose was a normal sized goose.
Hello, said Jack, said the goose.
My name's Jack, what's yours, Jack laughed, and was about to let the goose out of its page when suddenly Jack heard giant footsteps under giant voice.
The voice belonged to a gruff old giant, yikes, Jack whispered.
That giant is very scary.
I'm going to run for it and you're coming with me Goose," Jack waited until the giant's back was turned.
Ready? He said. Let's go.
And Jack grabbed the cage and ran out of the kitchen and threw the great hole.
But the Goose squawked and hissed.
Cry the giant, and he saw Jack running away down the wind deep path with his goofs.
Growled the giant as he ran after Jack.
Jack got to the bean -stalk and hurried down as quickly as his legs would carry him, while the goofs walked and hissed.
Then the giant began to climb down the bean -stalk.
He was slower than Jack and a little bit frightened.
Jack reached the bottom and shouted for his mother, who came running from their little house.
Mother -look !" said Jack, pointing at the giant coming down the beanstalk.
Jack s mother yelped, the goose squashed.
And Jack seized an axe and began to chop down the beanstalk.
Jack chopped and chopped and first the beanstalk started to lean.
Then it started to bend.
Then it began to topple over.
Take that giant, said Jack.
At least we've got this goose mother.
Goose... Goose... First the beans, now the goose.
What used is a goose?
And just as Jack was about to be cent to bed without any supper for a second time, The goose let out a huge squawk.
Shut its eyes very tight and then the goose laid a golden egg.
The goose was a magic goose...
No wonder the giant ran after you.
Said Jack's mother.
Jack and his mother took the golden eggs to market and solve them.
Then they moved into a new house with three bedrooms. One for Jack, one for his mother and one for the goose that laid gold and eggs.
And they all lived happily ever after.
I'm glad Jack and his mother live happily ever after.
Perhaps later you could talk together about what you would do if the Magic Goose laid Golden Egg for you.
