Listen for the sounds Listen listen, listen Hello.
Hello!
Listen everyone, listen and play.
Where are we today?
We're outside in the forest.
Today we've come to the forest to find two animals that live underground.
Here's the first one.
It doesn't really make a sound, but it has a fluffy tail and a nose that twitches.
When it moves, it likes to... Can you put those sounds together and make a word?
Hop.
The rabbit likes to hop.
Yes, the word is hop.
And the first animal is a small grey rabbit that lives in a burrow in the ground.
Listen and play again.
The next animal makes a strange sound.
It lives in a hole in the ground too and it has a long bushy tail.
Do you know what it is?
It's a f-o-x.
F-o-x.
Fox.
A fox lives in a hole in the ground.
Listen again.
Foxes and rabbits both live under the ground because they can do something special with their paws.
They can use their paws to... Can you put those sounds together and make a word?
Dig.
They use their paws to dig.
I wonder if you knew that one.
I expect you can think of some other animals that live in the forest who have paws too.
Today's song is about a bunny rabbit.
Join in and sing along with me.
Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny?
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so slow?
He hops and hops and hops and hops.
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so slow?
Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny?
Did you ever see a bunny that hops on one foot?
He hops and hops and hops and hops.
Did you ever see a bunny that hops on one foot?
Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny?
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so fast?
He hops and hops and hops and hops.
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so fast?
Oh look, there he goes.
Nobody can catch him.
Listen, listen, listen, it's rhyme time.
Here are two different rhymes.
The first is about some sleepy rabbits and the second is about a rather speedy fox.
See the little bunnies sleeping till it's nearly noon.
Shall we go and wake them with a merry tune?
They're so still are they ill.
Wake up, little bunnies hop, little bunnies hop hop hop hop, little bunnies, hop hop.
There once was a fox who was super-duper fast.
He always came first and was never last.
His paws would scurry as he raced along the ground, and if anyone tried to catch him, he was never found.
Listen, listen, listen, it's story time.
There are foxes and rabbits in our story today.
One of the foxes thinks he's rather speedy, like the fox in the rhyme, and one of the rabbits likes to make her friends laugh.
Shh!
Listen, listen.
The story's called Funny Bunny.
Once upon a playtime in the forest there was a rabbit called Funny Bunny.
Out of all the rabbits, she was the fastest.
She was also the funniest and loved to make her friends laugh.
Now, Funny Bunny and her rabbit friends lived very near to some mean, nasty foxes.
They were always spoiling the rabbits' games or eating their food or stealing their toys.
One day the rabbits decided to have a game of football, so they set off for the clearing in the forest.
But just as they got there, the foxes arrived.
Erm, excuse me, we want to play in this clearing, they said.
No, but we were here first, said the rabbits.
I've got an idea, said the biggest fox, who was called Super-Duper-Fast-Fox because he was so speedy.
Erm, let's have a race three times around the forest.
Whoever wins can play football in the clearing.
Okay, and of course, the foxes chose super duper fast fox as their champion runner.
The rabbits chose funny bunny to race for them.
On your marks, get ready, go off.
Went funny bunny.
And super duper fast fox.
Funny Bunny hopped so fast that she was well in the lead as she raced around the corner past her friends.
But then she thought of a really funny dance to do.
So she stopped and showed it to her friends.
Jigga jagga boop, jigga jagga boop.
All the rabbits laughed.
Jigga jagga boop, jigga jagga boop.
But just at that moment they heard the pitter patter of foxy paws.
It was super duper fast fox and now he was catching up.
The rabbits waved frantically.
Hop funny bunny.
Hop, hop, hop.
Hop funny bunny.
Don't you stop.
Funny Bunny hopped off and was soon back out in front of Fox.
But just as she whizzed round the corner for the second time, she thought of a really funny noise to make.
So she stopped again to make the noise for her friends.
All the rabbits laughed.
But just at that moment, they heard the pitter-patter of Foxy Paws.
It was super-duper fast, Fox.
He was catching up.
The rabbits waved frantically.
Hop, funny bunny.
Hop, hop, hop.
Funny Bunny!
Don't you stop!
Once again, Funny Bunny hopped off and was soon back in front again.
And this was the last part of the race.
But as she zoomed past her friends, she thought of a really funny face to pull.
So she stopped and showed it to her friends.
All the rabbits fell about in laughter.
They were rolling about on the ground with their fluffy tails in the air and their paws thumping.
Then once again they heard the pitter-patter of foxy paws.
It was super-duper fast fox.
He was catching up.
The rabbits waved frantically.
Hop, funny bunny.
Hop, hop, hop.
Hop, funny bunny.
Don't you stop.
But Super Duper Fast Fox was almost there.
All he had to do was to overtake Funny Bunny to win the race.
Funny Bunny's friends waved even harder still and shouted, Hop, Funny Bunny!
Hop, hop, hop!
Oh, hop, Funny Bunny!
Don't you stop!
But just as Super Duper Fast Fox was about to race straight past Funny Bunny, he saw her face.
It was the funniest rabbit face Fox had ever seen.
And he began to laugh.
So the rest of the foxes came over to see what was going on.
And when they saw Funny Bunny's face, they began to laugh hysterically too.
All the foxes and rabbits laughed together so much that their sides hurt and their paws ached from clapping.
The foxes invited the rabbits back to their holes for tea.
And they even asked Funny Bunny to do her funny noises and her funny dance again.
As you listen to our last song, count the rabbits on your fingers.
Hippity hop, hippity hey, three little rabbits went out to play.
Hippity hop, hippity hey, one little rabbit hopped away.
Hippity hop, hippity hey, two little rabbits went out to play.
Hippity hop, hippity hey, one little rabbit hopped away.
Hibbity hop, hibbity hey, one little rabbit went out to play.
Hibbity hop, hibbity hey, that little rabbit decided to stay.
Hippity hop, hippity hey, the foxes and the rabbits went out to play.
Hippity hop, hippity hey, they played and they played till the end of the day.
You might try to learn that song and sing it again together later.
Join me again soon when we can listen and play together.
Bye!
