Welcome to Disney's Magic of Storytelling podcast, brought to you by Wake Med Children's.
Because inside every child is a story waiting to be told.
Our storyteller is ABC 11's Gloria Rodriguez.
It was a warm summer day in Arendelle.
Princess Anna watched as her sister Elsa was crowned queen.
Anna was proud, but Elsa was very nervous that something would go wrong.
Elsa had a magical power that she hid from everyone.
When Elsa and Anna were little girls, Elsa used her magic to create winter wonderlands.
But Elsa's magic was hard to control, and she accidentally hurt Anna once.
As Elsa grew up, she wore gloves to hide her magic.
So the people of Arendelle would not fear their future queen.
At Elsa's coronation, Anna met Prince Hans and instantly fell in love.
Anna asked for Elsa's permission to marry him.
Elsa did not believe Anna could be truly in love with someone she'd only just met.
Anna pushed for Elsa's permission and Elsa became upset.
As Elsa tried to leave, Anna accidentally pulled off Elsa's glove and Elsa's magic was revealed.
Elsa was afraid that she would hurt someone, so she ran away.
Her magic unleashed a storm that covered Arendelle in snow and ice as if it were winter.
Anna ran into an ice harvester named Kristoff, who agreed to guide her to the mountain so she could find Elsa.
Along the way, they met Olaf, a living snowman that could walk and talk.
Olaf reminded Anna the snowman Elsa had made when they were little girls.
Soon, Anna and her friends found a castle made of ice.
Anna wondered if Elsa could have created the beautiful castle.
They trekked up to it to find her.
Inside the ice castle, Anna found Elsa who had magically changed her hair and clothes.
Elsa liked being free to use her powers without the fear of accidentally hurting someone.
Anna did not want to leave Elsa and begged her to come home.
As Elsa became upset, she lost control of her powers and they struck Anna.
Anna's hair began to turn white.
Kristoff knew the trolls would be able to help so he took Anna to go see them.
Grandpappy, the leader of the trolls, told Anna, her heart was frozen and she was slowly turning into ice.
He said only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart.
Anna believed her true love Hans was in Arendelle, but Hans had been looking for Elsa too.
He captured her with the help of his guards.
They took her back to Arendelle and locked her in the dungeon.
Kristoff and Olaf brought Anna back to Arendelle.
She found Hans and asked him to kiss her before she turned to ice.
But Hans revealed that he did not love Anna at all.
Hans had only pretended to love Anna so he could one day rule Arendelle.
As Hans left her, Anna revealed it had been Kristoff who had loved her all along.
With Olaf's help, Anna found Kristoff.
At the same time, she found her sister in grave danger.
Anna cried out and ran to Elsa's side.
Just as Anna stepped between Hans and her sister, Anna's entire body turned to ice.
Hans' sword shattered.
Anna had saved Elsa.
In despair, Anna threw her arms around her sister.
Suddenly, Anna's body began to thaw.
Anna had committed an act of true love for her sister.
Elsa learned that love was the key to her magic.
With Anna's help, Elsa discovered she did not need to fear her powers.
She learned to control her magic with love.
She ended the winter storm and summer return to Arendelle.
Elsa and Anna ruled the kingdom as sisters and best friends.
The end.
