It's imagination time with Katie. Hi friends.
Welcome to Super Simple's Imagination Time with Katie.
Today, we're going on an imagination adventure. over the hill and far away with our duck friends.
Five little duck friends to be exact. Quack, quack.
Let's go! It's good to be with you, my friend.
Hello. Hello. I'm glad we're together again.
We've got Zach on the keys. Katie singing la la la la la We'll have some fun in our imagination Go on adventures again and again Hello, hello.
It's good to be with you, my friend. Hello, hello.
I'm Katie. And Zach's here, too. Hello, hello.
Hey, Zach. Do you know the song, Five Little Ducks?
Yeah, that's the one! Well, you know what I've always wondered about that song? when the five little ducks go over the hill and far away.
And then mother duck calls quack, quack, quack, quack. but not all of the ducks come back right away?
I've always wondered, where do the other little ducks go?
What are they doing? Are they hiding? Or did they not hear Mother Duck calling?
Why didn't they come back? What is happening over the hill and far away?
Sounds like you've thought about it a lot.
Well, sometimes my imagination can get carried away.
How about today, we can imagine what might really have happened to the five little ducks who went over the hill and far away.
Let's go on an imagination adventure to the pond!
This pond and our five little duck friends all live in our imaginations.
So let's take a moment to clear our minds and relax our bodies so we can get to the pond in our imaginations.
Ready, Zach? Ready, Katie. Are you ready, friends?
Let's close our eyes and take a deep breath.
In one, two, three, hold it Out three, two, one Let's imagine the sounds we might hear at a pond.
Maybe we hear a frog go, ribbit, ribbit.
Or a fish splashing in the water. I imagine I hear the gentle buzz of dragonflies flying in circles above the water.
They fly up high. And they fly down low.
Can you hear them in your mind? Let's imagine what the pond looks like.
I see tall reeds growing around the edge of the pond. a log floating on the surface of the water and a hill on the far side of the pond rolling into the distance.
What do you see at the pond in your mind?
Let's take one more deep breath all together.
In one, two, three, hold it. Out three, two, one.
We're at the pond. Now, let's find those ducks.
Five little ducks went out one day Over the hill and far away Mother duck said quack, quack, quack, quack Quack, quack.
Quack, quack. Oh, I think I hear them. Can you imagine the sound of ducks in your mind?
I imagine, I see them too. A group of cute fluffy little ducks.
Swimming around the pond with mother duck.
Can you see them? Let's count them. One, two, three, four, five.
Five little ducks. Oh, plus mother duck.
That's six ducks. Six little ducks that I once knew Proud ones, happy ones Silly ones too But the one little duck with the feather on her back She let the others with the quack, quack, quack, quack Quack, quack.
She led the others with the quack, quack, quack.
Quack, quack. Quack, quack. Quack, quack.
It looks like a lot of fun to be a duck splashing around the pond.
Why don't we imagine we're ducks too? That's a great idea.
After all, anything is possible in our imaginations. can be anything when we're imagining anything, oh anything, imagine with Let's imagine we have webbed feet.
And instead of arms, we have wings. Covered in fluffy feathers.
And on our mouth is a long orange beak. I imagine I can see it sticking out.
We're little duckies. And little duckies love to swim.
So let's go! Down to the river they would go Whipple, wobble, whipple, wobble to and fro Splash!
I imagine we slide right into the water.
Oh! And I imagine it does feel a bit wobbly.
I'm not used to swimming like a duck. Ducks use their webbed feet to swim through the water.
It's a bit tricky, but we can do it. When you want to give up, try again Keep on trying, keep on trying Let's imagine moving our webbed feet, pushing through the water, and moving our little duck bodies forward on the surface of the pond.
We're doing it! We're swimming like a duck!
Keep on swimming, keep on swimming, keep on swimming It is fun being a duck.
Hey! I imagine I see our five little duck friends waddling over the hill.
They're going over the hill and far away.
Where are you going, little ducks? We want to swim and play with you.
Let's call them back like Mother Duck does.
With a quack, quack, quack. Let's try it.
Five little ducks went out one day Over the hill and far away Mother duck said quack, quack, quack Quack!
But only four little ducks came back. One, two, three, four.
Only four little ducks came back. One is missing.
Where did the other little duck go? What is it doing over the hill?
Well, there's only one way to find out. We must go over the hill and far away to see.
Let's take our little ducky feet and go find them.
We're a little duck going out today over the hill and Let's wibble wobble up, up, up to the top of the hill.
Do you see the other little duck? Let's look around in our imaginations.
Look around, look around Look around and see what can be found Oh, I imagine I see it.
The other little duck is with a friend. A frog.
I imagine they're hopping and wobbling together.
Playing on a log. One little speckled frog Sat on a speckled log Eating the most delicious bugs Yum yum I imagine I see the little duck, but they found some yummy grass and they're eating it.
Yes I do. Yes I do. What do you imagine the little duck is doing?
Maybe they're making a fort out of leaves and twigs. or maybe they're collecting a pile of small, smooth rocks.
There are so many things they could be doing over the hill and far away.
We just have to use a little imagination.
But I don't think we'd be able to hear Mother Duck from all the way over here on the other side of the hill.
So maybe the other little duck didn't hear Mother Duck when she called.
We should get closer to the top of the hill.
Then we can hear Mother Duck when she calls us.
That's a good idea. Let's wiggle wobble back up the hill.
We'll listen carefully and see if we can hear Mother Duck's call.
Oh, I think I hear her. Yep, that's definitely Mother Duck's quack, quack, quack, quack.
We listened carefully, and we heard her calling.
We better head back to the pond. Mother Duck must be wondering where we are, and we shouldn't keep her waiting.
Let's take the other little duck and we'll go back.
The ducks go waddling two by two, hurrah, hurrah The ducks go waddling two by two, hurrah Hurrah, the ducks go waddling two by two The little one looks for something blue Oh, we don't have time to look for something blue right now.
Mother Duck is waiting for us at the pond.
Come on! and they all go waddling on and on to get back to the pond quack quack quack quack We made it!
All the little ducks are back together. And mother duck looks very happy about it.
Mother duck said quack, quack, quack, quack.
And all of the five little ducks came back.
One, two, three, four, five. Five little ducks.
We did it! It's important to come back when someone calls us, no matter what fun things we're getting up to in our imaginations.
It was a lot of fun imagining being a duck and imagining what fun things a little duck might get up to. over the hill and far away.
But I'm glad all the little ducks came back together.
We'll be back together for more imagination time soon.
But for now, it's time to say goodbye. Goodbye, goodbye Our time has come to an end Goodbye for now Until we're together Goodbye, goodbye from all your friends at Super Simple.
From all the little ducks, quack, quack, and Mother Duck.
From me, Katie, and from Zach. See you soon.
Bye, friends. Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack.
