Have you ever heard an English speaker say that something is cringe?

Okay, let's talk about the word cringe.
When people use this word in a non-slang way, it's a verb.
That means that you have a physical reaction when you see something that is really embarrassing or awkward.
But nowadays, people also use this word as an adjective, and when they do so, it's slang.
When people say that something is cringe, they're saying that that thing is embarrassing for another person, even if that person doesn't realize it.
You might feel embarrassed for the other person too, but it's their embarrassing thing.
For example, let's imagine that your friend's dad writes a really embarrassing rap song for your friend's birthday.
Your friend's dad thinks he's so cool and that people will like this rap, but it sounds really dumb and it's super awkward.
After he performs this rap, you could say to someone else, oh man, that was so cringe.
You're saying that it was so embarrassing and awkward. even if your friend's dad doesn't realize it.
So I'm sure you could think of a lot of things that you find cringe.
Now let's talk about the word salty.
When someone says that someone is salty, they're saying that that person is annoyed, angry or bitter, maybe because they feel like someone offended them, or maybe because they lost to someone.
Usually people who are really sensitive and get offended easily can be salty in different situations.
For example, someone might say Here the speaker is telling the other person not to get so upset about a joke that was told.
The other person probably got offended and is acting mad.
And so the speaker is telling them not to be so salty.
Or here's another situation.
Let's imagine that one tennis player loses a match, but they were supposed to win it because their opponent is not considered to be very good.
Maybe the tennis player has a bad attitude afterwards and says some insulting thing about their opponent.
In this situation, someone might say that the tennis player is salty because they lost.
So the next time you hear the words cringe and salty in these contexts, you'll know exactly what the speaker is saying.
