Proceeded in three, two, one, detention.
The final plan of nature is magnificent proportion.
I don't know what you've been told, but we're in a golden age.
So many discoveries that are jumping off the page.
Wild in the world! Wild in the world!
While in the world, while in the world, while in the world, while in the world, while in the world.
We're flying the deep sun away Houston.
And bring that down to a simmer during occasionally.
Next, we're going to add the fresh lemon to that Now where did I put my lemon burrito?
This is where the dish should be a pale yellow.
Coming. Hey Rozzy! Mindy, you're early.
Yeah, an empty -handed.
Weren't you supposed to be bringing over your world famous five -alarm chili?
Yeah, but I've got something even better than Grandma G -Force's five -alarm chili.
Wait, Grandma G -Force's five -alarm chili?
Guy Roz, I have got us a reservation at the hottest new restaurant in town.
It's called the C. Robin.
The C. Robin? Yeah, it's a concept restaurant.
So it's kind of like a normal restaurant, Except instead of focusing on one kind of food, they based the whole thing off of one idea.
So get this. This restaurant is based on a bottom -beating tropical fish found all along the East Coast of America called?
The Sea Robin. You got it, Guy Raz.
But Mindy, weren't we supposed to be having a nice homey, potluck dinner tonight?
I was halfway through making my Thai green curry.
Oh, great, so you're not done?
I caught you just in time.
Here, look, check it out.
Dennis went there last week, and reviewed it on his Blick block channel.
Dennis has a restaurant review channel?
Yeah let me pull it up.
It's called Dennis Eats his Feelings.
It's mainly just him trying different pieces of gum around the city, but every now and then he actually goes to a real restaurant.
And, let's see, look, here it is!
Well here I am at The C Robin!
And my review is, I don't like it.
The music is too loud, and the lighting is too dim.
I want my lighting to feel like I'm in a hospital waiting room!
How am I supposed to say what I'm doing in this candlelit labyrinth?!
Two stars! Well, that's not a ringing endorsement, Mindy.
It sounds like Dennis hated the place.
Which means it must be great.
Come on, it's a full -on culinary experience.
You love full -on culinary experiences, Guy Raz!
Yeah, that is true.
Okay, fine, Mindy, let's go.
Yes! Um, when did you make the reservation for?
Oh, uh, about ten minutes from now.
What?! Yeah, why do you think I came over here so fast?
Mindy, how are we gonna get there in ten minutes?
Hey, Roz, I've got the ice cream truck waiting outside.
If we leave right now, we'll only be five minutes late!
Uhhh... Come on! Less whining, more dining.
Come on, come on! Okay, okay.
Ahem! Zootil, turn off the lights!
Booking return flights.
No, Zoodle, turn off...
I got it, Guy Roz! Alright, let's go!
Ahh! After you! Uh, thanks Mindy.
Let's get this show on the road, Guy Roz!
So Mindy, you were saying this restaurant is a concept restaurant based on a sort of tropical fish?
Yeah, the tropical fish known as the sea robin.
Well, how exactly do you base a whole restaurant on a fish?
Are we gonna be eating sea robin?
I don't think so. I mean, Dennis would have dolphinately mentioned it in his review.
He won't eat anything from the sea.
Here, let me just see what they say on their website.
Mindy! Mindy watch out!
Oh, here! You take the wheel.
Mindy! Okay, let's see here.
Pulling it up. Uh...
Oh, got it! It says here on the website that...
Stop! Whoa! Get a load of this fish, Guy Roz.
Here, look. Whoa! Mindy!
Get that phone out of my face!
I'm trying to drive here!
Sorry, sorry, I forgot.
But man, this is one strange looking fish.
You mean the sea robin?
Yeah, it's a fish, but it's also got a pair of wings on its side and legs.
Legs? The fish has legs?
Yeah, I mean they look like tiny little crab legs sticking out of its belly.
Interesting. And this is the fish that this whole restaurant wanted to base itself off?
Yeah, it says here on the website, just as the sea robin defies nature's categories with the body of a fish, the wings of a bird, and the legs of a crab, so does the dining experience at the sea robin restaurant.
This unique culinary journey is unlike anything you've ever experienced.
Shh! I'm so excited!
Huh, I wonder what it is that makes the dining experience so unique.
I know! Like, how many ways are there to eat a fancy plate of food?
I guess we're about to find out, Mindy.
Look, I think we're almost here.
Oh, yeah! Here. Let me take the wheel again.
And... break! Ahhh!
Nailed it! Uh -huh! Come on, Guy Raz.
We're gonna be late for our reservation.
OK. Lead the way, Mindy.
Oh, hey there, lady.
Would you like to valet your food truck?
Um, it's an ice cream truck, except we don't have ice cream.
It melted years ago.
Oh. And yes, please.
Here, catch. What? And be careful of the steering wheel.
Sometimes, it comes off.
What? Come on, Garroz.
Right through here.
All right. Wok, wok, wok, wok, wok, wok.
Opening the door. Oh, get a load of this place, Mindy.
I know. I can barely see a thing.
It's so moody. Yeah, I think it's entirely lit by candlelight.
Hello. Welcome to the Sea Robin.
And yes, those candles are made out of 100 % sustainably sourced elephant earwax.
Oh, gross. Do you have a reservation with us today?
Yes, we do. It should be under Sally Toots.
Uh... Okay, Sally Toots...
What? Yeah, did you know you can give any name you want when you're making a reservation, Guy Ross?
It's really changed the game for me.
Uh huh. Oh yes, Miss Toots.
Here we are. We have a table ready for you.
Yay! But first I'm gonna need you both to take off your shoes.
Okay... Guy Ross, it's just like the rules at your micro house.
No shoes. And also your socks.
Oooh! Do you want me to take off my socks?
Yes, here at the Sea Robin, we offer a barefoot dining experience.
It's all part of our head chef's imaginative, immersive vision for the restaurant.
You heard it guy, Roz.
Come on, let me get mine off.
There we go! Ah, that feels good!
Gotta wiggle out the old toes!
Uh, Mindy, is that a portrait of my face painted on your big toe?
Oh yeah, I got the whole gang painted on during a pedicure.
Look, there's Grandma G -force, Thomas Fingerling, Dennis...
Even Reggie's hanging out there on my little pinky toe.
Isn't he cute? Uh, yeah.
Sir, do you want me to take your shoes?
Come on, guy -rozz. Anything for a good meal?
Ah, OK. Fine. Ugh. There you go.
Ooh, look at that. Somebody clipped their toenails this morning.
Can't we just sit down?
OK. Right this way.
Wow, this place is so fancy, Guy Raz.
I feel like I should have worn my formal overalls.
Yeah, but Mindy are you noticing that it's a little weird. There's no food on the table or even cutlery.
Yeah, no forks, knives, spoons?
Maybe it's like a eat with your hands kind of place and the food is invisible.
Yeah, maybe. Here we are.
Have a seat there. And here are some menus.
And your waiter will be here shortly to take your order.
Thank you very much!
Alright! Let's check out this menu and see what we've got here!
Looks like all of these dishes are inspired by the C.
Robbin guy, Roz! Yeah, look at this one!
TBX3a? Catchy name!
Looks like it's some kind of chicken leg dish!
Hello! I am your waiter.
Do you have any questions about the menu?
Oh hi! Yes, actually we do.
So, um, what kind of food is TBX3A right here on the menu?
Ah, yes. That is one of my favorites.
TBX3A is the gene inside of the C -Robin that allows it to develop legs.
Ah, and a gene, of course, is a tiny little instruction in your DNA that tells your body how to grow, like what hair color you can have or what color your eyes are.
Or how many eyes to have?
Wait, what? Well, scientists have experimented with the TBX3A gene, and by tweaking it in various ways, they were able to make C -robins that had as many as 10 legs, or some that had no legs at all.
Whoa, creepy. Yeah, that's kind of made me lose my appetite.
Well, perhaps one of our specials will bring it back.
Hah. Tonight, the chef has put together a dish inspired by the sea robins' diet.
Oh, you mean we'd be eating what the sea robin eats?
That is correct. That sounds great.
Doesn't that sound great, Guy Ross?
That depends on what exactly a sea robin eats.
Please say tacos. Please say tacos.
Please say tacos. Please say tacos.
Well, in the wild, the sea robin scrounges around on the ocean floor, sifting through the sand to find small fish and crustaceans.
Ooh, a bowl of little fish in sand.
Sounds delicious. So tonight our special is an array of clams and scallops under a bed of breadcrumbs to represent the sands of the ocean floor.
Well, that sounds a lot more palatable.
Yeah, we'll take two of those, please.
Very good choice. I'll be right back with those specials for you.
Ooh! I still haven't seen any food come out, Mindy, or even any cutlery.
I mean, what kind of place is this?
It's a fancy place, Guy Raz.
This is just how they do things here.
And the nose shoes and socks thing?
Uh, what's up with that?
I don't know, but I like it.
It means I get to have dinner with all my friends.
In fact, let me put them up on the table here.
Ah. Hey there, buddies.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
Mindy, get your feet off the table.
Ugh. Fine. I mean, I don't know, it just seems a little weird to me.
Something is going on here.
Guy Raz, just take a breath and relax.
Try to enjoy the elephant earwax candles.
They're sustainable.
Hm, all right. Well, I'll try.
All right, here we are.
Two sea robin ocean floor specials.
Wow, that was fast. And there we go.
Put these down on the floor here for you.
What? Oh, my gosh, Guy Raz.
Look at the other tables.
What about them? Look on the floor.
What in the? All of their dishes are on the floor.
And they're smushing the food with their feet.
What in the? That is correct.
Here at the Sea Robin, we don't just serve food inspired by the Sea Robin's diet, but we also encourage you to engage with your food in the same way a sea robin might.
With their feet? Indeed.
The sea robin eats with its feet?
Well, they taste with their feet.
Well, don't mind if I do.
Oo. Ooh, Guy -Ras, we gotta try this.
These clams are to die for.
Mindy, you're not really shoving your feet in that food, are you?
Yeah, of course I am, Guy -Ras.
when in C -Robin, do as the C -Robin does.
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.
I don't think that's how that saying goes.
So, how exactly is this supposed to work?
Because I'm not tasting much here.
Well in the wild, C -Robins have very similar receptors in their feet that we have in our mouths.
Wow. They use these receptors to taste around in the sand in an attempt to find the food that is lying underneath.
Huh. Sea robins have taste buds on their feet?
That's right. Please enjoy.
Guy Raz, you've got to try this.
It's so squishy. That's what I'm afraid of.
Mm, this is so good.
I'm getting hints of lime.
No, you're not, Mindy, because unlike the sea robin, you don't have taste buds on your feet.
Oh, oh, yeah. OK. Here goes nothing.
Oh, Mindy. This is horrible.
Oh, I hate this. Hello there, me again.
How is everything? Oh, it's so good.
This thing I've eaten with my feet all week.
Wonderful, wonderful.
Enjoy. I don't know about you, Guy Roz, but this clams and breadcrumbs thing isn't really filling me up.
Well, that's because we're not eating anything, Mindy.
Okay, okay. Let me take a look at the menu again.
Uh, let's see here.
Ooh, look, they have a catfish special here.
Well, do you have to eat that with your feet too?
Uh, no. OK, great. It says you have to eat that with your hair.
Wait, what? Well, according to the menu here, the catfish also has those same sorts of taste receptors that the sea robin has, only the catfish has them in its whiskers.
And so catfish use their whiskers to taste their food as well?
Yeah, I guess. Looks like it.
Yeah, I think I'll pass.
And how are we doing over here?
Would you two like to have a look at the dessert menu?
We have a banana pudding that is particularly squelchy.
Uh. No, thank you. I think we're OK.
Aw, filled up on your foot food, huh?
Well, not to worry, I'll come back around and check on you.
Ugh, I don't know about you, Guy Raz, but I'm still feeling pretty hungry.
Yeah, me too. But don't worry.
I still think I can whip up that Thai green curry that I was making at home.
Oh, yeah, maybe I'll join you.
Well, you are always welcome, Mindy.
First, I need to clean all these bread crumbs out of my toenails.
Ugh! Ugh! Get out of here!
Get out! Ooh. Uh. Check please!
