Today we have a verb.
And this verb, it's not cool.
I've experienced this.
It's not good.
I hope you haven't.
You probably have.
I hope you, in the future, do not experience this.
What is it?

Let's go back in time.
Today, a very serious word.
Be careful.
Listen carefully.
It is to get duped.
To get, G-E-T, to become is the idea.
To get duped.
D-U-P-E-D.
We always say it past tense.
I was duped.
I got duped.
You're going to get duped.
What does it mean to get duped?
To be duped?
It means to be tricked.
To be deceived.
To be swindled.
To be taken advantage of.
Usually it means that you lost your money.
You bought something.
But then what you bought, you didn't get.
So you look at an advertisement and it says, this will work every day perfectly.
And you buy it and it doesn't work.
It's a piece of garbage.
It's a piece of junk.
So you call the company.
Give me my money back.
And the company doesn't answer the phone.
You got duped.
They stole your money.
You got tricked.
Be careful, everybody, especially online.
Oh, my goodness.
I hear about stories where people invest their money.
You know, they buy an English class.
It's no good.
They ask for their money back, but nope, they can't get it back.
They got duped.
Be careful.
This actually happened to me.
Check out the dialogue.
So, were you able to recover your file?
No, it's gone forever.
But you bought that software online.
I got duped.
Yeah.
Well, what happened to me?
I take a video.
I shot a video of me teaching a class, but then somehow I deleted the video.
It was my mistake.
I made a mistake and I deleted the video.
But I did a really good job, so I wanted to try to recover the file.
They have software that says...
You can do that.
So I searched online and I found a company and they said if you pay 60, we will give you the software to recover any deleted file.
So I paid the money.
I got the software.
I tried to recover the file and it didn't work.
Oh, well, I wrote back to the company and I asked for a refund.
No response.
I wrote them again.
No response.
I wrote them again.
No response.
I did more research and I discovered that many people, dozens of people, had the same situation as me.
We all got duped.
That company stole our money.
I hope you don't get duped.
I hope you buy something or you invest something or you believe in somebody and they give you the truth.
They give you what you asked for or they give you your money back.
Don't get duped.
Have you ever been duped?
Can you think of a time when you were duped?
Maybe you were lied to.
You were cheated.
You were swindled.
Somebody stole your money.
They stole your trust.
Maybe they stole your heart.
You fell in love with somebody.
You thought they were a really good person.
And then you discovered they're a total liar.
They're a bad person.
Oh yes, even in relationships, you can get duped.
Be careful.
Practice the dialogue two more times.
