It's a noun.
It's something that you are.
I mean, you are not.
I am.

A crook is somebody who steals something.
Yep, that's what it is.

Are you a crook?
Of course not.
I know.
I know you're a perfect person.
You have never stolen anything in your life.
But I have a question.
If we go to your house and we look at your desk, perhaps in your desk drawer and I'm guessing you might have a few pens or pencils.
Did you really buy all those pens and pencils, rubber bands, paper clips, post-it notes?
Oh boy, that is such an easy thing to steal.
You go to the bank, you go to the store, you know, you sign your receipt, your credit card bill and, without paying thinking, you take the pen.
And now you have a new pen.
You stole it.
You are a crook.
No, being a crook is not a good thing.
But to be honest, sometimes we are all crooks.
And I'll be honest, when I go to my mom's house, I'm a crook.
If there's something I like, I take it.
So mom, if you're listening to this podcast, if you're missing something, now you know.
Your son has it.

Do you have some CDs or DVDs that are actually your friends or your brothers or something?
And you're supposed to give it back, but you still have it?

Did you ever take something from your brother, your sister, your mom, your dad, your husband, your wife, your brother or whatever?
And you didn't ask, but you just took it to use just for a second.
But then you still have it.
Yeah, well, a book, a pen.
You're a crook.
Yeah.
Are you a crook?
Look around.
Look around.
Make sure everything you see...
That belongs to you, actually belongs to you.
What about one of your friends?
Do you have a friend that's a crook?
Yeah.
Most of us, we're good people.
We're accidental crooks.
It's not intentional, or sometimes it's intentional, but really, we will return it one day.
Right?
