So in the past two weeks, I've had some really horrible news.
So I have a birth dad and an adopted dad.
So when I was born a long, long time ago, my mom and dad got a divorce.
So my birth dad, he died two weeks ago.
And then when I was like one years old, my mom remarried.
And that's my adopted dad.
And he died a couple days ago.
So October has been just... really tough for me.
So that's why I've kind of missed a lot and I have to do some traveling.
So yeah.
So I apologize about not getting my Let's Master English podcast up.
It takes a lot of production, but don't worry.
Once things calm down, I'll be back.
So I apologize for this very sad introduction, but everything's okay.
Everything's okay.
And my dads live on through me and through my children, so everything's okay.

What does this mean, B-O-U-N-D, bound, to be bound to do something?
The idea is, without a doubt, surely you will experience something.
He is bound to laugh.
Oh, if he watches that movie, I am sure he will laugh.
I am bound to get sick.
If I eat too much ice cream I am bound to get sick.
You're bound to fall asleep.
If you read this book you are bound to fall asleep.
So, do you notice the expression?
If, if, if, if you do something, I am sure you will... That's the idea.
However, you don't always have to use the word if.
Listen to the dialogue.
I study English every day, but I'm not improving.
That happens.

It just seems like you're not learning.
It's very frustrating.
I understand.
And online, on YouTube, on the internet, there are so many free classes.
Absolutely.
And good lessons, too.
However...
Sometimes free isn't the best way to study.
Sometimes it requires you an investment to guarantee that you take it seriously, that you focus a little harder, that you study a little harder.
It requires your ownership, your investment.
It's true.
That's what happens for me.
Right now, do I take online classes?
Absolutely.
Right now, I'm taking two online classes and they are not cheap.
Because I pay every month, just like my DDM students, I pay these guys every month.
I take their classes and I learn so much.
It's very important.
I enjoy it too.
I do love learning.
And I'll be honest, sometimes it feels like I am learning nothing.
But because I'm investing in these classes, every week, every Tuesday, I go back and I get the new lessons and I study.
It's good.
I like it.
And that's what this is about.
DDM.
DDM is truly great.
It is.
It's my big class.
And I guarantee, regardless of your level of English, unless you're an American.
In every class, you are bound to learn something.
It might be listening skills.
It might be pronunciation skills.
It might be an expression.
It might be vocabulary.
It might be American culture skills.
It might be something about me, something about other students.
I guarantee in every DDM class, you will absolutely learn something.
Don't worry, I'll tell you more about DDM as we go along.
But that's today's lesson.
You are bound to do something.
If you sign up for DDM, you are bound to learn something in every class.
If you eat... healthy food, you are bound to live a healthier life.
If you read for 30 minutes every day, you are bound to build your intelligence.
