Let's go back in time.
Today's expression is very good.
It's an adjective, low -key.
Low -key, L -O -W dash K -E -Y.
low key. What does it mean to be low key?
He is very low key.
Low from high to low key.
When we say key you could think of a piano key.
Do re mi fa sol la ti do.
You hit the key ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding.
What is a low key? Yeah, I can't make a low sound, sorry.
But anyway, those are keys.
So low key, are low keys easy to hear or are high keys easy to hear?
Yeah, I think the higher keys are much easier to hear than the low keys.
The high keys are really easy, excuse me.
But that's the idea.
If somebody is low key, they are very quiet, they're not very aggressive, they're not very outgoing, they're probably not extroverts, they're probably introverts.
Different people are different.
Some people are low key, Some people are very active, very outgoing, very talkative, very friendly.
They like to meet people, they like to go places, they like to go to parties.
They like groups, they like everything like that.
But other people are very low key.
They prefer to stay at home.
They try to not get into arguments.
They're usually reading a lot.
Therefore, more intellectual?
I don't know about that, but that's the idea of low -key.
Let's check out a dialogue.
My favorite actor is Tom Hanks.
Why's that? He's great on screen and low -key off screen.
Oh, you're right. He's never in the news like Lady Gaga.
Right, many Hollywood stars.
I think the image is, they are not low -key.
They're always looking for the camera.
They're trying to make some stupid statement.
Yeah well maybe some Hollywood stars have something important to say but I think the majority of them probably don't and it's true for me, I prefer low -key people.
I'm low -key. I'm not that active.
Actually, I don't go anywhere.
I don't do anything.
When it comes to actors, Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors.
Because he's low -key.
There are no scandals.
He doesn't go to nightclubs.
He's not always talking in public about do this and do that.
That's the But you see me and hear me talking every day.
I'm always on YouTube, making videos, talking about this.
Sometimes I'm giving you my opinion.
I think many people believe that I'm not low -key, but actually if you met me in person, you would be extremely bored.
Coach Shane is very low -key.
