What does taking forever mean?
It's simple. It just means something is taking a really, really, really long time.
Let's say, for example, you call some company and you're waiting for customer service.
So you call the company.

Please hold. and they play music and you're waiting and you're waiting and then like a minute later hello thank you for holding no operators are currently available please continue holding and this takes like 10 minutes this is taking forever oh my god what is taking so long Why is it taking forever?
