Easy English Expression.
Rehashed. Hello, everybody.
My name is Coach Shane, and welcome to Easy English Expressions.
Come on, let's master English.
TGIF. Thank God it's Friday.
Coach Shane here. I hope you are doing great.
I hope that you have nice plans for the weekend.
Are you working? I hope not.
I hope that you have something enjoyable.
Oh, we've got such an excellent expression today.
Are you ready? Let's go back in time.
Today's expression is, don't sweat it.
Don't sweat it. Don't sweat it.
This is a great expression.
Do not sweat it. S -W -E -A -T.
What does it mean to sweat?
Well, if you're exercising very hard, your body sweats.
Water comes out of your skin.
That is sweat. So don't sweat it.
What does that mean?
It simply means, don't worry about it.
Don't get stressed about it.
It will be okay. I will take care of it, or there's not going to be a problem.
That's the idea. So many people are nervous about their English.
I know it's tough, but you know what?
If you study a little bit every day with me, with whoever, of course I want you to study with me, then if you invest the time, if you invest the practice, don't sweat it.
Eventually, your English is going to be okay.
You got it? I'm serious.
Okay, let's check out the dialogue.
I need you to finish this report, okay?
By when? By next Tuesday.
That gives me only a couple days to work on it.
Don't sweat it. You can come in on the weekend.
Oh, that's terrible.
So the boss at this company says to the employee, I need you to finish this report.
By when? When do I need to finish it by?
By next Tuesday. And then the employee says, but that only gives me a couple of days to work on it.
In America, we only work on work days, and work days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
So if it's due next Tuesday, that means there's a Saturday and a Sunday, but of course, he's not going to work.
But the boss says, don't sweat it.
Don't worry. You can come in on the weekends.
You can also work on the weekends.
Isn't the boss nice letting his employee work on the weekend?
Oh, that's terrible.
Yeah. Do you have some deadline?
Do you need to finish something by a certain time or a certain date?
Do you need to be somewhere at a certain time or a certain date?
Are you nervous? Are you scared?
Don't sweat it. One year later, you won't even remember this dilemma.
It's a great expression.
If somebody is worried about something, and you know that it will be okay, you can tell the person, hey, don't sweat it.
Don't worry about it.
Let's check out that dialogue two more times.
I need you to finish this report, okay?
By when? By next Tuesday.
That gives me only a couple days to work on it.
Don't sweat it. You can come in on the weekend.
I need you to finish this report, okay?
By when? By next Tuesday.
That gives me only a couple days to work on it.
Don't sweat it. You can come in on the weekend.
Thanks so much for listening.
