Woo!
It's Wee Wow Week.
Good morning, wowzers of the world.
Make way for the rolling thunder of wow and wonder.
Is it morning already, Mindy?
Oh, good morning, Guy Razzi.
You ready for another day in the old wow on wheels?
Yeah.
Have we been driving all night?
Oh, yeah. scouring the globe for wow and wonder.
The globe, huh?
So where are we now?
Oh, let me ask this person walking down the street here.
Excuse me.
Excuse me.
What?
Hi.
We are a couple of science-crazed explorers and we've been driving all night in search of wow and wonder to add to our collection inside this truck here.
And we were wondering if you could tell us what country we're in right now.
You two forget your brains at a truck stop or something.
Boy, your Debbie Dog dream hut is right over there.
Okay, first of all, it's a fully sustainable micro house made with recycled bamboo.
Wait, are we... Grandma G-Force?
What?
Oh, no.
Why does this keep happening?
Mindy, are you telling me we drove all night just to wind up exactly where we started again?
I guess that's what happens when you make only wrong turns.
Well, nothing saying you can't find wow and wonder in your own backyard.
Man, your backyard is just a dirt pit of despair.
That's perfect.
How so?
Well, let's drive back there and I'll show you.
Grandma G-Force, you just perch yourself up right there on the hood of our wow on wheels.
Looks like an ice cream truck to me.
Now hold on tight, because here we go.
Red Mansion.
Look at this beautiful pit of dirt and destruction.
Mindy, are you sure we're going to find wow and wonder for our collection back here?
If you don't mind, I'm going to hop off the hood.
Oh.
Yes, of course I'm not sure, Guy Raz.
But there's only one way to find out.
And that is?
To dig in and get our hands dirty.
Uh, question.
Yes, Grandma G-Force?
What if our hands are already dirty on account of we haven't washed them since 1972?
Well, then your hands should feel right at home for this challenge.
Whoa, what's the challenge, Mindy?
Okay, so the challenge is to find out what lives in the dirt and then share our findings so we can add them to the collection in our Wow on Wheels.
Huh, what lives in the dirt?
Well, let's see here.
Do you happen to have a pair of magnifying goggles in your adventure toolkit, Mindy?
Oh, you know I never leave home without them.
See here?
Here you go.
And I'm going to need a white sheet or a tablecloth.
Ah.
Hey, Grandma G-Force, can I borrow that white cape you're wearing?
I thought you'd never ask.
Here you go, boy.
Thank you.
And I'm going to need a shovel.
Oh.
Okay, I've got one in here somewhere.
Is it okay if it's got melted taffy all over it?
What?
I like to eat my melted taffy with a shovel.
You know, just a little tradition passed down from my grandma G-Force.
Booyah.
Okay, well, I guess if that's all we've got, I can make it work.
Um, okay, now, watch what I'm going to do.
You gonna eat that dirt, boy?
Save some for the rest of us.
What?
No.
Are you going to dig up the dirt and dump it all over the white cape, Guy Raz?
Yes, how did you know?
Just a hunch.
Now watch as I sift through this dirt.
I'm so excited!
Aha!
What did you find, Guy Raz?
What did you find?
Well, let's see here.
It looks like I found some hardworking earthworms.
The worms make the dirt!
And I also found what appears to be a chunk of quartz.
Uh, some kind of beetle.
And are these slug eggs?
Let me scramble them up and taste them.
I'll let you know.
Ugh.
Wow, it's like there's a whole other world living underneath the Earth's surface.
Okay, let me try next.
Yeah, go ahead.
Here's the shovel.
Give it a scoop.
Oh, I won't be needing that guy, Roz.
I have a backhoe right over there.
Be right back.
A backhoe?
Run, run, run, run, run.
Whatever.
What in the... Wow.
Okay, let's pop out of this thing so I can see what we've got here.
Uh, looks like I dug up three prairie dogs, a mastodon jawbone, a five-carat diamond, an abandoned subway system, a pirate's treasure chest.
And Oh, there's the sandwich I lost last week.
Uh... Now what?
Well, the next step is getting all of this stuff into our wow-on-wheel so we can add it to our collection.
Or we can leave most of it here and just draw pictures and take notes in our field notebooks.
Oh, good call.
I didn't want to lug around that five-carat diamond anyway.
Well, Mindy, are you ready to share today's challenge with the wowsers of the world?
Sure am, Guy Raz.
But first, I better fill in this hole.
I think I accidentally dug a swimming pool.

Attention, wowsers of the world.
The time has come for you to explore and examine what lies beneath.
Our challenge for you today is to do some digging to find what lives in the dirt beneath our feet.
For this challenge you'll need an old white sheet or tablecloth, a magnifying glass if you have one, your field notebook, a pencil, a shovel and lots and lots of dirt.
To begin your exploration, you'll need to shovel piles of dirt onto the sheet and then sift through it, paying close attention to any interesting creatures that you might find in it.
Be sure to take or draw pictures of anything you find and record your observations in your field notebook.
And then, the most important part, share your findings with us so we can add them to our Wow on Wheels collection right here.
To do that, just call and leave us a message about what you found at 1-888-
That's 1-888-7WOWWOW.
