Well, how many more minutes do we have?
Like six or seven?
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Why?
Why?
Guys, can we please just leave like six, seven in 2025?
Three, two, one.
This is Anna from Emerson School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Thank you for listening to the Eagles View Presents.
This week, we will be discussing our influencers' good role models.
Sounds like a great topic.
We hope you enjoy the Eagles View Presents this week.
Here are this week's panelists.
Hi, I'm Sophie.
Hi, I'm Bella.
And yeah, I'm Anna.
So, yeah.
Oh, we're all in seventh grade, by the way.
So, are influencers good role models?
Anna, do you want to start?
Yeah.
What was that?
It went like, ba-boom.
Oh, that was the, that was the.
Okay, sorry.
Should we restart?
No, no, let's keep going.
Oh, okay.
Well, this is a pretty good, oh my gosh.
This is a really good, like, topic.
And it's really interesting because I feel like a lot of kids our age fall through social media and stuff like that.
So my perspective, I think maybe because a lot of the stuff that you see on the Internet is fake.
Um, especially like AI nowadays.
But um, sometimes I feel like it's always good to have inspiration from someone, even though if it's like fake or not, you can always say like, maybe that's still like a good idea.
Maybe I should still follow through that.
Um, but yeah, I feel this is a very like, tough question because Some of them like, of course, there are those influencers that are super nice and sweet and they can understand you and like you Because like sometimes when, if you're with your life, you can't Oh my gosh.
You can't, like, talk about this stuff, or you can't, like...
Talker, like people might not relate to you, so like sometimes a lot of kids go and on social media and try to find like if anyone relates.
But there's always those nice role models that have an amazing life, sometimes even too much of a perfect life, and
And you might be like oh yeah, I really like that and I want to follow through that, even though if it's fake.
But I think maybe.
Sometimes they are super good role models, but sometimes you can clearly tell that they're fake and they're just trying to have an amazing, perfect life, when really life isn't always perfect.
Okay.
So wait, hold on.
So i think that they can be, especially when they're using, like their followers or like their fame for good things like, and they're not using it just to benefit themselves and they're trying to help other people by using their fame and everything, and like what anna said about how a lot of people are very fake and they lie and they are just they're not telling the truth, then that can like lead to like a bunch of jealousy and like sometimes they can't be good role models, but sometimes they are.
So, yeah.
Yeah.
And then also something that I think is somebody like.
Somebody thinks of something that they say they go online and they go.
Oh, my life's perfect.
And then, like an influencer sees that and then goes like, oh yeah, my life is perfect.
And then an influencer sees that and then goes like oh, my life is is perfect.
And then a child will see that and think that they have perfect lives and compare themselves to them, which is a horrible thing to do.
But also it could be good, because if that keeps going on and then a real role model could speak out to the public and say like they're all faking it.
Like, this is not true.
Like, believe in yourself or, like –
Like, just, like, your life is perfect because, like, you're living it or something.
I don't know.
Some inspirational quotes.
Yeah, that's like that's a true one, because I do like I only follow people on social media when like, I feel like they're true people.
And that is true when a lot of these like fake people like go on and they like talk about how perfect their life is, and it can really damage a kid's state because sometimes they're just like why isn't my life perfect?
Why can't I be like that?
Um so yeah, but just in general, social media can be a very dangerous place but um, you know, some of the parts aren't always dangerous.
Like, There's a lot of people who, like Bella said, are very nice, sweet and like inspirational quotes and stuff like that.
But yeah,
Yeah, I agree with all those ideas.
And yeah, i was gonna say something but i forgot it.
You forget what you're awesome.
No, i'll do that later.
Oh okay, no wait guys.
Actually i was gonna actually like say something.
Sorry, we're having technical difficulties with our brain right now.
That went right in my ear.
Can we say like I don't know?
It's just that social media is so difficult to understand.
I don't know.
But I feel like we all have to keep in mind that what you see on the internet isn't always true.
Especially since AI is now starting to be a really big thing.
We just have to like watch out, because we can't like damage ourselves like that and believing that everyone is perfect on social media, when really they're just trying to gain more followers and trying to like just damage you and trying to brag.
More popular and, like, this is, like, something that I was going to say, but basically...
I feel like the whole social media and people who watch social media is just like I don't know what a word to describe it but kind of like self-hating, because they see influencers saying their life is perfect and then they feel bad.
And then the people watching it they also feel bad for themselves because like they don't have this perfect life and like they want to be this person and blah blah, blah and it's just like social media is just like a horrible place.
Yeah, And then also like what Bella was saying, when they're seeing like influencers doing like fun things and it can make you really jealous and then it can start making you not appreciate the life that you have as much as you probably did before.
Yeah.
By realizing, like, how come, like, I want that so bad.
Like, why do they get to have it?
Yeah.
And then you don't get to appreciate what's around you more.
Yeah we, we're like, we're saying that, like we're on both sides.
I feel like because like, even though like still leaning more towards, like it's just dangerous and stuff like that, but also like it can be really inspirational because like, even though they might have this perfect life, you can like that you're scrolling on your tiktok for you page or something and you see this person having this perfect life, but then you see oh, i'm going on a walk, like for an hour.
Maybe you're just like hey, maybe i should go on a walk, even though like, i don't know, it's still like some of the parts can be inspirational and there can actually be like real role models that can help you.
But yeah, just don't believe everything on the internet, guys.
Well, did you remember what you were going to say?
That was like part of what I was going to say.
Do you remember the other part?
Nope.
Do you want to do your awesome?
Well, how many more minutes do we have?
Like six or seven?
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Why?
Why?
Guys, can we please just leave like 6-7 in 2025?
What?
What?
What?
What?
6-7.
Miss T just said 6-7.
Oh, my gosh.
Miss T. Okay, guys.
Guys, actually, don't say that anymore.
I haven't said it in like a week.
Okay, that's not true.
That's so not true.
That's just like a straight lie right there.
That's not true.
Yes, it is.
It's not.
Didn't tell me the last time, i said it, you just, i just know you said it.
No, i have, bro.
I feel like bella, we've heard you say it so many times that it's hard to count.
We don't even like keep track anymore, because you say so much weeks ago and um, but yeah, How much more time do we have?
I don't know.
Oh my gosh.
Also, when I was talking about AI, almost all of these ideas is about AI, bro.
So should we just end it and then have time?
Because I have my test after this.
I gotta cue my awesome.
Should we do the outro?
No!
No, let her cue her awesome, bro.
Oh my god, be your awesome.
It's always her awesome, bro.
Awesome!
Oh, it's the first part.
I can't do the end.
Okay, cue my awesome now.
Okay, go.
Awesome!
Okay, do the intro.
Do your outro, girl.
